Finished X-Men: Days of Future Past TPB again, Xtreme Xmen: Intifada, and Xtreme X-Men: Storm-The Arena TPB. Been on a Clairemont binge recenlty.

I also finished 100 Bullets: First Shot, Last Call TPB again. Amazing artwork and an amazing story. Leaves you guessing and wondering constantly.

Just finished reading Myla Goldberg's Bee Season. Now I'm reading Sue Monk Kidd's The Secret Life of Bees. No, I'm not obsessed with bees. Yes, these are both for a class.

Kitchen Confidential: Anthony Bourdain
Idiot's Guide to Weight Training

Those middle two books are in perpetual conflict with each other. ;)

I just finished re-reading George R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire. I wish he would put out the next book. I'm now looking for something new to read.

Just go straight to Derrida's Writing and Difference. And follow that up with a little light reading, say, Foucault's This is not a Pipe. Good stuff :D

Hmm... I need to find something to read while I'm on the plane for Hong Kong next week. Maybe I'll go pick up Chronicles of Narnia for the movie that's coming out later this year, or I'll go a different direction and pick 1776 since it seems popular these days...

That's a good idea. I read that a while back and maybe I should reread it to refamiliarize and hype myself for the movie (which, from the screenshots I've seen, looks QUITE good  ).

Currently reading: Lex Luthor - Man of Steel

Due to constant mentions in the favorite book thread I picked up a $4 copy of Ender's game and haven't regretted it. The fact that it was written a year before I was born and the author made so many correct guesses about technology blows my mind

"Chronicles of Narnia" by C.S. Lewis. Written over 50 years ago, this book is right up there with the Potter series. Can't wait for the movie in December!!!
any suggestions for a 250+ page biography/autobiography?
Have you read "No One Gets Out of Here Alive"? It's about Jim Morrisson of the Doors.

My dad used to reread the whole series every year before he would give the book to his fourth grade class

Currently reading Now I can die in Peace by Bill Simmons. Although a lot of it is columns that were on Espn.com the footnotes he adds throughout are worth the price of the book
Playboy "articles"
Actually, my brother lent me one of his Playboys and I honestly liked the articles! If only Playgirl had good writers... :)

I'm currently reading "White Apples" by Jonathan Carroll.

I think rolling stone has the best articles in the magazine business. They have some talented writers

Currently reading Temple of the Winds (Book 4, Sword of Truth) by Terry Goodkind. Really enjoying the series.

Longtime awaiting A Feast for Crows (ASOIAF, George R. R. Martin) to be released. Just another week or so...

All I have to say is it's about time... Feels like I've been waiting forever, I can only reread the first 3 so many times before I gave up. For me that was about 3, which given my attention span that's alot I guess.

Just finished At All Costs, book 12 I think of the Honor Harrington space opera series by David Weber. I'm ready for a break.
In the middle of 'Best Science Fiction 1950-1960' and 'How to Talk to a Liberal' by Ann Coulter. More hits than misses in that one.
