Personally, I'm waiting on:

Disaster: Day of Crisis
Sadness
Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles
Fire Emblem
One Piece: Unlimited Adventures
Naruto Shippuuden: Gekitou Ninja Taisen EX
No More Heroes
Forever Blue
Project H.A.M.M.E.R.

What about you guys?
http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=108414
In all fariness, Scorch, that was way pre launch and hasn't been touched since September. I think a new thread is probably ok. :)

Sonic and the Secret Rings tops my books right now, as well as hopefully some original content on the Wii Shop (as I posted in the above-mentioned thread). I just hope Sonic doesn't suck.

Obviosuly, the first party stuff that's coming out I'm looking forward to, and the new DDR looks fun. :)

Sonic and the Secret Rings
Disaster: Day of Crisis
Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors
Fire Emblem
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Project H.A.M.M.E.R.
Nights
a Star Wars FPS with lightsaber battles

Metroid 3, Mario Galaxy, Smash Brawl, Big Brain Academy. Those are the games I'm pretty much guaranteed to get this year, at least.

If Cooking Mama wasn't 50 fucking dollars, I'd be all over that like white on rice.

No more Heroes sounds interesting. I'm most looking forward to SSX Blur, though, not having played a snowboarding game since SSX.

I second the Cooking Mama $50 barrier. I just cant see myself paying $50 for a DS port, just like I had a hard time buying Trauma Center and refuse to get Wario Ware for so much money.

Right now I'd take just about any game being released. It's so dry right now it's pissing me off. I'll stop at Target just to see if something new has been released and am always disappointed. Somebody release a freaking baseball game for crying out loud- it's almost spring training.

looks like everyone already mentioned all the games i'm waiting for, in particular i'm waiting for MP3 and Smash bros brawl

No particular order:
Smash Bros. Brawl
Mario Galaxy
Mario Party 8
Sonic and the Secret Rings
Super Paper Mario

I'm on the fence about Cooking Mama. Definitely renting that before (if?) I buy it. Dewy's Adventure looks as though it could be promising.

VC:
Super Mario Bros. 3
Super Mario World
Duck Tales (Perhaps just wishful thinking on my part...)

Cooking Mama: Cook Off
Super Mario Galaxy
Animal Crossing WII
Super Paper Mario
Super Smash Bros: Brawl
Mario Kart
At least Trauma Center was a top-priced DS game ($30 or $35, whatever it was). If Cooking Mama turns into a $50 console game after being a budget DS title, that's kinda silly.

I think my most anticipated title remains Fire Emblem - I know exactly what I'll be getting. I don't think I know enough about any other games coming out to be uber excited about them.

Metroid
Mario
Smash Bros

That's about it from announced stuff.

Maybe the RE game, but I haven't played 4 yet to see if the new style is my cup of tea (not a big fan of the old games).

SSX
SmashBros
superpapermario!!!
I would say Mario Galaxy, but I just don't know about that one yet.

Wii
Super Paper Mario
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Metroid Prime 3
Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles
Project H.A.M.M.E.R
Sonic and the Secret Rings

Virtua Console
Super Mario RPG
Super Mario RPG
Super Mario RPG
Super Mario RPG
Super Mario RPG
Punch-Out!!!

Smash Bros.
Mario Galaxy, maybe.

Cooking Mama is $50? That's insane. Much as I enjoyed the DS version, I'd have trouble convincing myself to buy it again for another $20.

You also couldn't pay me to take Metroid. I think I've reached the point of Metroid and Zelda fatigue. They seem to get prettier, dumber, more predictable, and stuck looking backwards instead of forwards.

Dunno about Sonic. I've got it in my head that a lot of these franchises need something that just isn't there right now. It's not to say that a good game can't come out of them, but many of the older properties have gameplay sacred cows that I just don't find interesting anymore. I don't want to charge into another enemy that I couldn't see coming, lose all my rings and die, and play the level over again. I've done that enough. Time to move on.

I'm looking forward to whatever Square puts out, or anything that uses the Wiimote in interesting or innovative ways.

Super Mario Galaxy is tops, no doubt about it. I love the improvements made from 16-bit Mario to Mario 64, and I love the improvements made from Mario 64 to Sunshine. If galaxy doesn't absolutely floor me in its awesomeness as the other two titles did, I'd be stunned...so I expect the best.

Super Paper Mario is up there nowadays too. I've largely ignored it until recently when I heard that it has been given a bit more of an action/platformer feel versus so much of an RPG engine? Is tha true, or did I misread something? Because I liked the first Paper Mario in a sense, but some of the RPG aspects just turned me off totally as most RPGs do (turn-based battles...).

Sonic and the Secret Rings is next. Looks like after each 3D Sonic iteration, they've finally made the one that most appeals to what I loved about Sonic. As long as the gameplay is not flawed in some horrible way, this is a must-own title for me.

Wii Play is next. I can't wait to play most of the titles in this game, billiards especially. The reviews of the international versions have solidified my excitement.

Then there are the obvious choices: Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Metroid, Mario Kart, Madden 08, hopefully EA does something with the Live series, and the list could go on forever. I can't remember the last time a console had so many must-own titles (for me) in its first year or two.

Super Mario Galaxy
Super Paper Mario
Metroid Prime 3

and that about it for now the rest are all mini game shit.

SSX Blur
Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles
Spiderman 3
Super Smash Bros Brawl
Mario Strikers Charged
James Bond 007
Super Mario Galaxy
Project H.A.M.M.E.R.
Mario Kart Wii
2nd Zelda on Wii
Naruto GNT EX
Yes. Has there been any news of a Freeloader for Wii games? I'd probably buy this at launch if I could play it. I know some of the recent modchip announcements talk about region-free aspects, and I do love the Naruto games, but I'm not voiding my warranty to play it ;) Disc-swap-for-life. ;)

Animal Crossing... I wonder when we'll get more info? :(
Cooking Mama... as long as there are a *lot* of recipes, then I'll pay
Super Paper Mario
Smash Brothers... I tried the 64 and GC versions and for some reason I just could never get the hang of the controls... I'm hoping I'll have better luck with the 64 version
Mario Galaxy
RE, as long as the controls are cool
Mario Kart
DDR... want to hear more about it first, though.

Definite buys: SSX Blur, Sadness, Super Mario Galaxy (possibly also Super Paper Mario).
Discount buys/rentals: Kororinpa, Cooking Mama, Disaster: Day of Crisis, No More Heroes.

That would be awesome.

All Datel has said is that they're working on a Wii Freeloader. I'm hoping it doesn't take much longer to figure it out.

Add me to the Wii Freeloader waiting list. It better have the ability to do GC games as well, since I don't have the Cube one and I have a wishlist of import games I need to get to.

My list-
No More Heroes
Bleach
Dragon Quest
SSX
RE
All Announced First Party titles, even Strikers for some reason
Kojima's game

On another note, more of a wishlist type thing but I'm really hoping for a Battle Stadiun DON type game but more robust, like a Jump Superstar roster.

In order of anticipation:

1. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
2. No More Heroes
3. Super Mario Galaxy
4. Fire Emblem
5. Sonic and the Secret Rings

Virtual Console [not necessarily announced]
1. ActRaiser
2. Demon Crest
3. Super Metroid
4. Ogre Battle
5. TMNT IV

I'm going with only announced games.
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Resident Evil UC
Battalion Wars 2
Godzilla Unleashed
Medal of Honor: Vanguard
Prince of Persia Rival Swords
Super Paper Mario
Wii Play

Fire Emblem
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Super Paper Mario
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Mario Party 8
Cooking Mama
Zelda: Next
FF: CC or whatever they are calling it.
Dragons Quest might be fun.

Super Smash Brothers Brawl - really really want this one!
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Paper Mario
Pokemon Battle Revolution (i like pokemon. big whoop wanna fight about it?)
Maybe Metroid, but that gets so repetitive. Find the boss, run out b4 the planet explodes and repeat.

so mostly first party stuff as you can see.
I was really hoping for Blazing Angles sometime soon, but it seems that that's not going to ha.ppen
It was pushed to February back at the launch and GameSpot has a March 20 release date now.

I cant wait to get a good fps cause the wii is so adaptable to somethin like that. A good james bond game would be nice... not the crappy ones they have been putting out lately, go back to the basics!

The new metroid looks pretty cool, anyone know if its online like hunters?
I didn't even know there was a rumor that BAR was coming out for the VC. I would buy it the day it came out, since it was one of my favorite N64 games.
Supposedly it was rated by the ESRB for the VC, but then it was taken off of their website. So no one really knows what is going to happen.

Disaster: Day of Crisis could be interesting... also anxious to see some more stuff on Sadness. I'm getting a little chilly on Animal Crossing, which surprises me, but I've flogged AC: WW and just don't think I can hack another AC so soon unless it's a massive overhaul.

Don't know any specific names, but I'm very much looking forward to whatever quirky rhythm games come out, and also the "Touch Generation"-esque stuff like the fitness games and Brain Age.

Very cool. I take it that means it's pretty much confirmed, why else would the ESRB re-rate the game for the Wii?
Hasn't something like this happened before with the ESRB? Nintendo needs to announce the VC games themselves, not have the ESRB do it for them.

Disaster:Day of Crisis
No More Heroes
Poke'mon Battle Revolution
Resident evil:Umbrella Chronicles
Metroid Prime 3
Cooking mama
Super mario galaxy
The next zelda
