While listening to my MP3 player I frequently find myself thinking, "this song would be fucking awesome on Rock Band".

What 5 bands/songs would you most like to see added to Rock Band in future?

Here's mine:

1. Marilyn Manson - "Burning Flag"
2. Mindless Self Indulgence - "Bomb This Track"
3. The Smiths - "Bigmouth Strikes Again"
4. Placebo - "Nancy Boy"
5. KMFDM - "A Drug Against War"

While these aren't necessarily my favorite songs by these bands, I mostly just think that they'd be a lot of fun to play on RB.

Off the top of my head:

- The Who - Bargain/Love Ain't for Keeping.
- Pixies - All over the World. (Also acceptable: entire Bossanova album.)
- The New Pornographers - Twin Cinema. (Also acceptable: entire Twin Cinema album.)
- Tomoyasu Hotei - Bullet Rock. Or ANYTHING. (What happened to that Japanese Rock Band edition?)

I haven't given that much thought about how fun these would be to actually play, but I'd definitely download them all regardless.

TOOK the midnight train going anywhere!!!

Its been slow down below,
Aimed at you were the cowboys from hell!

And the Master, Master, Master of puppets pulling your strings

With the Holy Diver, you've been down too long in the midnight sea, ohh whats becoming of me

As I see the smooookkkeee on the water... FIRE IN THE SKY,

and Some people say my love cannot be true.

Sparta - "Guns of Memorial Park"
Smashing Pumpkins - "Cherub Rock" "Tonight, Tonight" "Jellybelly" "Zero" "Quiet"
ANY NEW ORDER SONG EVER

These albums:

Led Zeppelin IV
Who's Next - The Who
Highway 61 Revisited - Bob Dylan
The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars - David Bowie
Exile on Main Street/Beggars Banquet/Aftermath - The Rolling Stones
Dark Side of the Moon / The Wall / Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd
Remain in Light / 77 - Talking Heads
Doolittle - Pixies
In the Aeroplane Over the Sea - Neutral Milk Hotel
White Blood Cells - White Stripes
Siamese Dreams - Smashing Pumpkins
The White Album - The Beatles

"Paralyzed" by Rock Kills Kid and "Red Flag" by Billy Talent sound like they'd be fun to play on all the instruments. Any more songs from Muse would be good.

Of course though adding in "The Touch" by Stan Bush would make a lot of people happy .

Flight of the Conchords. Stuff from their new album has drums and a proper baseline.

Most beautiful girl in the room.. or ladies of the world would be fun.

Any Pearl Jam, Failure, Led Zeppelin, Hum and these:

1. Semi-Charmed Life - Third Eye Blind (anything by them would be great)
2. Shimmer - Fuel
3. Pour Some Sugar On Me - Def Leppard
4. Hungry Heart/Born To Run - Bruce Springsteen (and about 20 others)
5. Torch Singer - Buffalo Tom
6. Mr. E's Beautiful Blues - Eels
7. Santa Monica - Everclear

I'm not sure why but this stuff just popped into my head - I could go on forever probably...
Rancid
I have a friends that is lobbying for some Green Day on RB. I'd be happy with Rancid instead.
Cake

Cake
Cake would be a lot of fun. Or even some Soul Coughing. Vocals would be easy, at least!
These albums:
They've already got Doolittle and about half of Who's Next. Highway 61 would be cool, though. They should do a wrist cramp pack with all the 10+ minute Dylan songs.

If I had to pick one Dylan album for DLC, I'd go with Blonde on Blonde so I could watch vocalists get wrecked. :D

 • Green Day - I'll take any...but Jesus Of Suburbia, Nice Guys Finish Last, American Idiot, Basket Case, When I Come Around...come to mind.
 • Story Of The Year - ...Is This My Fate?, Our Time Is Now, We Don't Care Anymore, In The Shadows, Choose Your Fate - or anything by them...
 • Thrice - Artist In The Ambulance, Deadbolt, Send Me An Angel
 • Powerman 5000 - Free, Action
 • Rob Zombie - Dragula, Superbeast
 • Marilyn Manson - Rock Is Dead, Beautiful People, Dope Show
 • Rammstein - Du hast (Lyrics would be difficult though...)
 • +44 - I'll Be There When You're Heart Stops Beating, Lycanthrope
 • Linkin Park - Faint, Somewhere I Belong, Figure 8, Lying From you, Papercut, A Place For My Head, Given Up, No More Sorrow

No Linkin Park songs LP? For shame. :nottalking:

I'd go with:

Face Down (Red Jump Suit Apparatus)
Killers (Somebody Told Me, Smile Like You Mean It)
Avenged Sevenfold (Beast and the Harlot, Bat Country, Blinded in Chains)

Fixed...

Face Down - Would also be a good one!
Excellent...another SOTY fan!!!!
They played a great show at Warped a couple months back. I really enjoyed it.

Queensryche - Empire, Jet City Woman, Eyes of a Stranger
Iron Maiden - Powerslave, Wasted Years, Aces High, 2 Minutes to Midnight, The Clairvoyant, Fear of the Dark, Rainmaker
Dio - Holy Diver, Rainbow in the Dark
Scorpions - Rock You Like A Hurricane, The Zoo, Big City Nights, No One Like You
Def Leppard - Photograph, Foolin', Rock Of Ages, Women, Pour Some Sugar On Me
Avenged Sevenfold - Beast and the Harlot, Bat Country
Van Halen - Panama, Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love, Unchained, Runnin' With The Devil
GNR - Paradise City, Welcome To The Jungle, Yesterdays, Mr. Brownstone
Tom Petty - Runnin' Down a Dream, Refugee, Free Fallin', Learning to Fly, Into the Great Wide Open, Don't Come Around Here No More
Seether - Remedy, Fade Away, Rise Above This,
Pearl Jam - Animal, Daughter, Dissident, Corduroy, Light Years
STP - Wicked Garden, Plush
Alice in Chains - Would?, No Excuses, I Stay Away, Grind
Sevendust - Black, Denial, Praise, Trust, Silence, Failur, Driven, Feed

I could really go on forever but I'll stop here.

Needs more death/melodeath metal.
Children of Bodom
Norther
Wintersun
Kalmah
etc.

Children of Bodom would be an instant buy. I can't think of any of their songs that don't have entertaining progressions and awesome solos. Vocals might be a turn off for some, but the guitar work would be more than worth it.
Anything breaking Benjamin has ever done
I forgot to add them to my list, but I'd love to see Breaking Benjamin in Rock Band, too. They are always great in concert.

Yes, please. I'll take them all.

I would also love some Golden Earring; Twilight Zone and Radar Love, hell yeah.

I would love to see some Opeth, Hot Snakes, Dethklok, or various ska punk. Children of Bodom and some of Rancid's older stuff would be nice also.
Anything breaking Benjamin has ever done
QFT!!!! Especially So Cold and Firefly (this song would be PERFECT)

Type O Negative's October Rust as well as the first four Manic Street Preachers albums please. I would also be glad of some New Order but think that the Orgy cover of Blue Monday would probably be more entertaining to jam along with.

Anything by The Beatles. I would kill for some Hey Jude, Help, Hard Day's Night, Can't Buy Me Love... it's a shame The Beatles are notoriously hard to license. Damn, Michael Jackson.

Speaking of which, old Michael Jackson and Prince beats would be nice.

Don't you EVER say anything like that again.

Jeff Buckley - Grace (the song or preferably the album. Vocals on any song would be ridiculous and the guitar on at least Grace would be difficult as well)
Bush - anything
more R.E.M.
more Foo Fighters (their cover of Baker Street would be awesome)
Gin Blossoms - anything (anyone else remember playing Hey Jealousy on the Virtual Guitar in the early 90s?)
Better Than Ezra - anything
Live - anything
Toadies - anything

This.

And 3 Inches of Blood. And More Megadeth.

Tool - Any and all songs :)
Clutch - same...
Arcade Fire - etc...
Danzig - Danzig (Complete first album, unlikely tho as Danzig is a cock-block)
Chevelle - Anything from their second or third album
More David Bowie is always welcome
Dax Riggs and/or Deadboy & the Elephant Men
Eagles of Death Metal - anything from the first album
The Fall - take your pick... they have 40+ albums...
Gogol Bordello - anything would be fun...
Louis XIV - TBLSAK
Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds - Dig! Lazarus Dig!
Pere Ubu - Final Solution
Radiohead - OK Computer
Sisters of Mercy - anything...
The Veils - Nux Vomica

that's all for now... ;)

^^ Nick Cave and Sisters of Mercy would be awesome.

I've been listening to The Cure's new CD a lot this week and thinking how amazing it would be to have some of their stuff on Rock Band, too.

Never heard of any of them except for Danzig's Mother.

RB should get songs that everyone has heard of, songs that make people say I heard that song somewhere, but I guess it's easier for RB to get the cheaper songs since their rights are probably not as hard to acquire.

MDM!! Needs moar Soilwork and Scar Symmetry.

Just for kicks and giggles, let's put some Meshuggah up on there!! If the developers really want a challenge, put up their 30 mintue song "I". YES DAMMIT.

Also, Third Eye Blind would be awesome. Needs some more 90's alt-rock like Eve 6, Black Lab, Garbage, and Our Lady Peace. fuck I'd go out and buy Rock fuckin' Revolution if OLP was on there.
