I purchased an order for my brother for Christmas and two of the games did not work. I sent them back in return for them to send me out some functional copies. I received the new copies today and yet again, one of the games was busted. Has anyone else had a similar problem? What should I ask for when I call up customer support? The game that was broken was $11.99. Would asking for a $24.99 game be unreasonable, since they only paid like $5 for a game they sell for $24.99?

You can go to an actual Electronic Boutique store to return defective games for an exchange or a refund. I think you have 30 days to do so.

Uhh.. you bought a game that was $11.99 and it was broken so you want a $24.99 game in exchange? wtf.. that's like asking for free money.

if that worked, id be breaking all the games I recieved :). Why not ask for a cool mil? You'd think that would be asking for too much? nahhhh

My copy of Freedom Fighters was defective when I ordered it from EB.com about 6 months ago, since I didn't want to deal with shipping I went to the store to ask for another copy, which they didn't have. I just asked for store credit and picked up another game of the same price (Went to Kmart and just picked up a new copy). If the game costs 11.99 you will get 11.99 in credit nothing more and nothing less. I suggest just exchanging the game in the store, or just getting credit. The only thing you'll be out on is shipping (unless you got the free shipping).

I've had to take one game back to a B&M store to get a working copy. Just remember to take the invoice and you should be fine.

Over the summer I purchased F-Zero for Gamecube from Ebgames for $17.99 or $14.99. and it came broken. I called them up explaining that there polocy is that all of their preowned games are 100% garunteed and that I was a loyal Ebgames.com custumer and I have received sevral broken games, which I had and I beleive the have this on record. I continued to explain that I was beginning to lose trust in their store. To compensate me, they sent me out a copy of Mario Party 5 which was a $44.99 game. Noone else has done this?

I smell something.. what's that smell?

actually ebgames is known to pass out $20 gift cards if they fuck up your order, and you get on the phone and bitch long enough. Is it worth it? Meh, seems kind of silly, kind of slimy and in the end i would feel like an ass. I would rather just get the game i paid for and have it work. But heck, thems the breaks

EB is a crap shoot. Sometimes you get like new products, other times it looks like someone stuck the game up their ass and didn't wipe it off.

I bought used Phantom Crash last spring . . . it came cracked . . . I called them . . . they sent out another ASAP . . . got it in 2 days. They also sent a mailer. I kept the better instructions and artwork and sent the bad game back.

I was really happy with them on that day.

lol i think i once ordered a really cheap game like for 2.99 and they just asked me to keep it.. and they sent out another one right away haha =)
