ive never gotten the thrill of it since its all cartoons. aside from being able to do things in cartoons you cant do in real life wtf is the point in anime porn?porn with real chicks yeah thats cool but cartoons not really for me. bt everyone has what works for them and what doesnt. what one man fancies my disgust someone else.

Oh... you mean Hentai? I think its good, but I don't usually watch it. I remember watching the Link and Zelda cartoon from Super Mario... I always felt that should have been an Hentai.

I like animation of all kinds. Hell, I own things from the old Superman toons from the 40's, to Batman the Animated Series, to She-Ra, to ATHF, to Darkwing Duck, to Heavy Metal, to Cowboy Bebop. The genre of Hentai is no different from comedy toons or kids toons. Some are good, some aren't.

Erotic art has been around since cavemen first discovered they could draw wangs on cave walls. It's as legitmate a form of entertainment as anything else whether you like it or not. Some of it is way out there, some isn't.

I own I Dream of Mimi, Sprite, and Strange Love. They aren't as explicit as La Blue Girl or anything like that, but they are entertaining IMO and are no more rique that the American Pie movies.

For example, I Dream of Mimi involves a female android computer that needs upgrades to fend off attack from other computers. She can only get the upgrades from the "active molecules" of her master. The show is hilarious.

That being said, stuff like Bible Black is a bit too much for me.
 
I had though about writing a hentai novel.. I had named characters, places they were from, --- universe building. This topic makes me feel like I need to get back on it.
 
It seems like some of you are quick to judge because you've only seen "Horny Tentacle Milk Rape 3" or something similar.

The girlfriend and I watch hentai sometimes, but I'm careful to pick only series that mostly have consensual HUMAN sex scenes. On that note, I've seen some pretty fucked up shit by mistake, so I usually find series by recommendation or reviews.
 
Meh. Choices were biased so I forego the poll. I'll watch it if it's in front of me but I don't actively seek it so I'm in the 'indifferent' portion. What does it matter if you're watching hentai or real porn? They're both there to entertain (and possibly jack off to). They're both about fantasies the viewers may have (regardless of how unconventional it may be). They're both 'fake' simulations (or more accurately, parodies) of human interaction. I see this as being only slightly different from most other forms of entertainment media. The only real true difference is that the sex is explicit.

The only hentai I've seen is an episode from the "Discipline" series. By far the weirdest thing I've ever seen.

Love the hentai. I could have just as easily voted that I enjoy watching real girls better, but it depends on my mood. Obviously, hentai usually has more intricate storylines. Some of my favorites include Kite, Mezzo Forte, and Midnight Train. One of my favorite shirts that I wear has the Cool Devices logo on the front, and on the back it reads, "Don't Say We Didn't Warn You..." Of course, almost no one recognizes the logo (meaning I even wear it to work), but it's absolutely classic when someone does.

I Dream of Mimi is great. There's some... uh... dirty stuff in there to be sure, but it's funny, light-hearted, and entertaining.

The only real issue with the poll is that it doesn't address the different contexts of hentai--unfortunately, when most people think of hentai, they immediately think of tentacles, dick-girls, rape, violence, etc. Japan really loves their fetishes, but because there's so much fucked up shit in their cartoons, it's what's talked about most and has come to represent the medium. The really explicit stuff is just way too much for me to handle.

But seriously, anime chicks can be hot as hell. Show me a guy who doesn't want to bang the shit out of Tifa Lockheart, and I'll show you a goddamn liar. Sailor Jupiter has always been a guilty pleasure of mine, too.

Anyone voting hentai as bizarre is bizarre to me. When 2 girls 1 cup first showed up on the web and was still relatively unknown to the masses, I told all my classmates that I had an awesome new band called "2 Girls 1 Cup", and that our music could be accessed by going to 2girls1cup.com. My classmates now either think I am god, or hate me.

This is what I'm talking about. Most people judge hentai from its extremes. It's similar to judging real pr0n solely from 2 Girls 1 Cup. As for Kancho, I was first introduced to that through Naruto, and it seemed to become pretty popular (at least the idea of it) soon after. Yet no one seemed to focus on the fact that adult Kakashi was doing this to underaged boys Naruto, Sasuki; and vice-versa through various characters. That was more disturbing to me than tentacle rape. :p

Yep, most people who have an "idea" about hentai actually haven't watched anything other than clips of the "stereotypical" show. It no different than thinking all rap is gangsta rap.
