[quote name='schultzed']Funny, I gave away the only copy of RE4 that I found at TRU and now I want another . . .
So, I posted a trade thread . . . Dark Cloud 2 for RE4 . . . granted its a stretch and I won't find anyone to do it . . . but then I get thread crapped by someone saying its an "unfair" trade . . .
Let's see one $10 game for another . . . but no, we have to go by Fatwallet logic . . .
I guess I do see what is happening to CAG.

Don't worry, I'm sure the people who call that an unfair trade will also flame someone trying to unload the ten copies of RE4 or DDS they got for $10 for $30 a piece.
Perceived value is all well and good, since 99% of the time you don't know how much someone paid for their copy of a game, but when your intent is to trade a game you bought for $10 for a game that someone else bought for $10, value isn't really an issue unless the person is set on profitting from it.
I haven't been here forever (more like 6 months) but I've been around long enough to see how things work for the most part. There are a lot of CAGs who I enjoy chatting with and provide value to the forums. But there are also a number of people who seem to be more interested in making themselves seem more important than others than contributing to the community. Whether this comes in the form of tearing into newbies for posting location or topic or taking any opportunity to put down others for errors in logic or syntax or information, it gets annoying after a time (and no, "REPOST!" isn't a bad post, but "Hey, stupid mother

er, why don't you go check with your mom before posting in the wrong forum" is

).
Overall, I love CAG or I wouldn't be posting here anymore. A few bad apples can make it tedious at times but you can't escape that in any forum.
