What is Shaq better at? rapping, acting, or video games / Shaq News Thread

Shaq-Fu has become a legend, none of his acting or rapping junk except for maybe Kazaam is anything more than a larf factor anymore. Kazaam still isn't even close to Shaq-Fu though.

His acting is better than the other two, but that's still like saying you'd rather be kicked in the nads once instead of twice... it's still pretty bad.

I paid like $18 for my Shaq Diesel cd back in the day. I still remember the intro to the cd, it was something like...
"with the first pick of the 1992 NBA draft, the orlando magic select shaquille o'neal from lousiana state university."
it was a bad-ass cd
What can Shaq do best. (Other than kicking ass on the court)
Count his money and look riduculous trying to fit into normal sized cars.

I detest rap. I don't think he needs to be involved in games beyond an image and set of stats in a basketballer. That leaves one thing. He may not be a great actor but there is always uses for huge guys like that. Just look at the career of David Prowse. He's made a career out of being a huge mother.

Long after he's too old for pro basketball there will always be a call for wookies and other big aliens.

"Forget Tony Danza, I'm the boss." That line alone has supplied me with enough laughter to say his rap career was the best. If only for it's nonintentional comedy.

One word: Basketball...but if I had to choose from the above list, Shaq-fu the game has become a sort of cult classic and everybody's forgotten about his rap or nearly. His actin was alright in Kazaam and as DigitalSpace put it, his best actin is in his commercials, in particular his Taco Bell commercials.
anybody for the crunch bar commercials?
Yeah, to bad he doesn't play in California any more. I guess now he has to catch a flight from Miami every time he wants to seperate Califorina from the rest of the country.

What is kobe thinking, he, not shaq, once again looks like the dumb ass...

on a side-note I can't wait to see shaq in town 5 times as much now that he is on the heat, (same division as the hawks, at least now i have a reason to buy tickets) cause you know shaq is my favorite basketball/videogamestar in the world (way better than Michael Jordan in the Windy City)

Hmm....given that he is terrible at all three, I'm going to say a fourth option, oncologist. Shaq can be no worse an oncologist than he is an actor, rapper, or videogame star.
Kazaam rules.
Kazaam is the best horrible movie I can think of right now, next to Mario Bros.

acting i guess, just because the music was so horrible. but on second thought, i think i should have voted for the game, since of the three it would give me the most enjoyment.

His best skill isn't listed...

It's speaking in a long-monotoned voice whilst trying to sound smart so he can continue to use his self imposed nickname "The Big Aristotle"...

But out of the actual choices I'll say rap (by default). The song he did with Peter Gunz was pretty damn good IMO. ( I can't remember the name of it though). The song he did with Biggie was ok. I liked "What's Up Doc?" with Fu-Schnikens too.

His response to Kobe, "I'm not the one buying love. He's the one buying love."

At least we know the second part is definitely an accurate statement.

can't wait, shaq is gonna tear up the east coast... boy, i bet the west coast is glad that they only have to play him twice this year.
Here are the starting centers in his new division this year.
Kelvin Cato
Brendan Haywood
Jahidi White
Jason Collier

not bad considering he had to deal with the likes of Tim Duncan, Vlade Divac, Yao Ming, David Robinson and Kevin Garnett the past few years... Awesome!

ummm not having any skills of anything whatsoever
just being the biggest guy in b ball and bullying everyone
and having the refs create new rules or lack there of because of his big beefy giant like movements

Vlade the big flopper shouldn't even be included with those other big men...besides that I'll go with shaq fu

I used to have that ignorant outlook on Shaq too, but come on wake up... if all his talent is dependent on his size, then why isn't Sagana Diop dominant? What about Eddy Curry, and the countless other "large" players in the league. While the main reason for Shaq being as good as he is, is because his size, huge size alone cannot account for where he is today.

Aren't we forgetting games like Ready 2 Rumble Round 2 and NBA Showtime/HOOPZ?

Oh yea...and I remember buying the single for that "What's up doc?" song. My answer was always YES! to "Can we rock?"

I'd say Shaq is better in videogames... He can't jump nearly as high or run nearly as fast in real life, and his dialogue is surprisingly better. Nicer guy in videogames too, helping out that orphanage.
While the main reason for Shaq being as good as he is, is because his size, huge size alone cannot account for where he is today.
Eddy Curry - 7'0 280
DaSagana Diop - 6'11 285

Shaquille O' Neal 7'1 325.

Shaq has 40 lbs. and an few inches of height on these guys. He's one of the heaviest players in the league. Not many players (besides Boykins) that could lift 300 lbs much less defend against it. His girth may not be the only factor, but it's the biggest. (pun intended).

Oh yeah, why aren't those guys dominant? Because they're constantly injured and have a non-horse like work-ethic.

That and there's a blatant lack of coordination on Diop's part. Curry isn't as good as people had expected, plus injury prone. Of course, Shaq himself is injury prone... so that's not a good excuse. There's a few other more obscure players like Jerome James, and Greg Osterfag that are about the same size as Snack when he first came in the league, and aren't even close to how dominant he was then... point is Shaq actually has some talent, it's not just the fact that he's a yeti.

Looks like shaq and the Heat are going to run away with the east this year, perhaps the best record in the NBA (now that duncan is out)

Kobe is going to regret that for the rest of his career.
