What is the best guitar

I've only played the x-plorer and the les paul and I like the les paul much more. Mine hasn't broken yet though....

I actually did this poll a while back on a broader scale...here are the results from then:

Personally I use the GH3 Les Paul (after opening it up and moving the little connection panel in the neck in front of the tabs since it was missing a lot of notes until I did that), but if the RB2 Fender fixes the strum bar, I'll probably be moving on to that. I loved the frets and size of the Rock Band guitar but hated the strum bar.

You got the link for the Les Paul fix? My third or fourth one is on it's way out.

I love the lower buttons on the RB Strat. but i hate the strum bar on it...just give me the strum from the GHII guitar and i'd be happy.

I've used the Wii's guitar for a bit which is like the Les Paul, but being that I've never got one, I'm partial to the X-Plorer. It's cheap and simple, as long as you don't mind the wire.

yeah..i would love to know how to do that too. my les paul was messing up and reading the wrong notes at first but then it went away. now, it's so bad it's hardly operable... if i could open it up and fix it, i would definitely try.

i had to vote for the RB guitar merely because of these stupid issues with the les paul.
The GH:A guitar is the Les Paul
I got confused there a bit, I'm like "they're the same right?", anyway my fave is the Les Paul

I'd be interested in that also, I ended up buying the GH:A bundle because my guitar from the GHIII bundle has the red and orange buttons malfunctioning. Wouldn't mind having 2 working Les Paul guitars.

I'm in love with the RB Stratocaster after learning how to HO/PO, tap, and do sweeps with it. Expert songs are so much easier once you get good with the Fender, and the lack of the click noise on the strummer has never bothered me.

Best guitar for playing Rock Band: Fender Strat
Best guitar for playing Guitar Hero: Les Paul

You could always mod a real guitar into one for the game. However why do that when you can just learn to play. I still stand by what I have always said. Why get this game when you can just get a real guitar and play it. Sure the game costs less however you can get some learning sets that are not much more. I have played the second one on the 360 and I'm sure it could be fun drunk but other then that just a waste of time.

Me and my friend debunked that video. It works for single notes, but try playing anything not on easy with that. (No we didn't actually try, but anyone with common sense with electronics should know)

I think plenty of people don't want to learn how to play guitar, they just want to play a rhythm video game with a guitar controller.
Other: Buy a real guitar.
That's like saying go buy a real gun when someone inquires about a first person shooter .
:bs:

perfect opportunity to brag about my new guitar...

what was the question?

The Rockband Stratocaster would be if the strumbar clicked and worked like the Guitar Hero controllers.

As it is though, I prefer the GHIII Les Paul. Even if I now never play GH and use it almost exclusively in RockBand.

Les Paul since its pretty good with star power. tilt works very well and the button activation is possible, unlike the xplorer.

The GH:WT could be the winner down the road just because of the ridiculously sized star power button. D:

i just tried it and it didn't do anything for me. it's still screwing up, but i guess it's worth a shot.
I had to do this with my GH:A guitar. Brand fucking new, the blue fret was unresponsive. This fix worked. It is a simple solution that anyone can try and doesn't void the warranty. However it was a bitch getting the neck back on.

Just yesterday I noticed my overdrive activation is seemingly now fucked up on the Les Paul...if I tilt up it doesn't want to work, yet if I'm holding it fairly steady in the normal position it seems to randomly go off. Great.

Yea, Les Paul is the best. Doesn't matter if it is the one with Aerosmith or not (unless you want a faceplate). All other models out there just feel cheap. Especially the Xplorer.

I liked the SG for ps2 the best, but for the 360 I'd go with the Les Paul. I've tried the Strat several times, but I still can't get into it.

I own the Xplorer, Les Paul and Strat. I hate the Strat buttons and the strumbar sucks. The Xplorer is good but at times feels a bit flimsy and cheap. Les Paul on the other hand feels solid, plays great and I love the fact that it comes apart for easy storage.

Also to whoever was complaining about people playing GH/RB instead of playing real guitar, I'm not really sure how your point or opinion has anything to do with this threads topic. I play real guitar as well and it isn't really a valid substitute for playing GH/RB and vice-versa anyhow.

I use to hate the RB guitar but I've discovered a loathing for the Les Paul now. I've bought two brand new ones today; both of which tilt overdrive doesn't work right and the back button doesn't trigger the overdrive.

like most, own all three. what do i think?

the wireless les paul is a POS because of lag. honestly...
favorite one is the explorer. star power and response is to my likin'

Lag? Really? Mine has no lag.

for all i know, it could be a mind over matter thing (bein' wireless and all), but i feel the squishiness of the buttons on the les paul is not as exact as the xplorer... least my scores prove that

you know.. i've always wanted a video game to emulate my experiences with a real guitar.. and GH / RB do a lot for me.. its not always easy to get the guys together for a band session and its not always practicle to play a song to a recording with a real guitar (usually i set up cover songs i like to play and i pump my guitar up loud enough for it to play along with it and its similar to GH) but I mean this is much more accessable and fun..

playing a real guitar with a real band is something that no V-game will ever emulate but for those with no talent at the real guitar it is an adaquate substitute.. my problem is there are songs on these games that I can play on the real guitar much better than on the GH.

I'm starting to lean towards the Explorer myself. I've had multiple issues with the Les Paul now, the latest of which doesn't seem fixable. Never had a single problem with the Explorer.

Maybe one of you guys can help. I just bought a used Les Paul (and if I can't fix this, it might make it's way back there) and the star power doesn't seem to activate when I want it to. I have a tendency to hold my guitar at an angle (about the middle of what would be directly horizontal and directly vertical) because I sit in a chair when I play and use no strap. Now when I'm playing at an angle and I lift it directly up it does nothing, so I had to start holding it horizontal and then lifting, which works, but sometimes it just activates on its own while I'm still holding it horizontal.

Any suggestions guys?

I like the sturdyness and versatility of the Xplorer, but the solo buttons on the Stratocaster are more than useful as I struggle through Green Grass. Given the choice, I usually use the latter.
