Horse
Cats (30+)
Parrot (He talks!)
Fish (two tanks; six fish total)

The coolest pet(s) we used to have were three young deer. Yes, I said deer. Their mother was run over by the car in front of us, and they were too young to survive on their own. We took them and bottlefed them. Eventually, they became wild, and we let them go... They also could play kickball! Well, they would kick the ball and run around the yard, while we played kickball...

Sorry for the crappy quality of the pictures, I took most with my cell phone. :)

I've never had pets of my own except a couple of childhood hamsters. My four older siblings always had such a menagerie amongst them that I've never felt the need. There has always been at least one dog in the house that was deeply devoted to me but was not my responsibility. I like it that way.

Currently, until my next move is dictated by work geography, I'm sharing a townhouse with my mother and eldest sister. She has an 8 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback (aka giant shorthair squirrel) and a four month old Border Collie (caninus demonicus)

Aww, some of those dogs are adorable! And deer, wow, that's interesting. Glad you let them go eventually, but I wonder how they could survive without learning the survival skills.

As for me, I have a cute girl cockatail named Jujubee. I also recently got Mauii and Tahiti, two mice; one black and white, and one brown and white. They were supposed to be two girls but one of them turned out to be a male and went after the girl. I think she's pregnant now, so I'm going to take them back to the petstore.

*edit*

2 cats. My sister in law owes me a turtle from my birthday like 3 years ago too. I need to get on her ass to finally get it for me.

These two rats are all I have with me in toronto, grey one is ryoko and tan one is lychee.

At my parents home my mother has 3 rats. I have pictures of two of them. The third is a semi-hairless albino. This ones greta

This ones Felix

This is the family dog Yoda

My mother also has a red eared slider turtle, a cockatiel, 2 mice, and a skink, and I also have two mice at home. One is a wild deer mouse (named yuki) that I found, in my house, as a baby. When I caught it it didn't try to run, it started licking my finger, and I figured it would die if released so I kept it. It's tamer than the domestic one (I can pick up the wild one, the domestic one always runs). The domestic one is a black, fat mouse named hamham (looks like a hamster). I would have taken them to toronto, but I wasn't sure if the deer mouse was legal to keep. It looks identical to this one, except my deer mouses eyes are larger

She's extremely fast, and spends every waking minute running in her wheel. I did look into releasing her, but there were a few problems. When I looked up info on them it said wild ones die in 1-2 years, but in captivity they live up to 7 (compared to 2-3 for a domestic mouse). It also said that when raised by humans, and not a mother mouse, they don't know how to survive in the wild and die rather quickly. She was really young when I got her, she needed to be fed kitten milk replacer every 4 hours.

Forgot my mother also has 2 aquatic frogs.

I had 2 dogs and 2 cats about 3 days ago.

But one of my cats had babies, so I now have 6 cats and 2 dogs. The kittens are like little rats. So precious.

Hehe ryan, I just noticed your avatar in the other thread and asked if you had a shiba inu. Anyway, my gf and I have a shiba inu and an orange tabby. They're great dogs but you have to socialize them early, especially with kids and other dogs. They can also be very possessive and instinctive and they'll try to outsmart you so you have to train them carefully. Anyway, if you have any questions, feel free to ask me. I know quite a bit from raising one and talking to many other shiba owners. And I used to play with my cousin's 3 shibas all the time. Welcome to the club!

I have a turtle (yellow-bellied slider), a fire-bellied toad, and a freshwater aquarium with various tetras.

Here's my toad, Mitch:

Here's a baby picture of my turtle, Max:

He's grown a bit since then. I'll have to get an updated picture of him.

I also have a dog (shih-tsu), a cat, and a bunch of koi at my parents' house.

HSidwolf thanks for welcoming me to the club...the shiba puppy, kashi, is 12 wks old as of sunday...she has been excellent so far, only gone to the bathroom inside 2x in 3 wks, and doesn't chew any of the video game wiring i have...the only thing she does is chase our 2 cats around the house...she comes to work with me every day and plays with the guy in the office overs golden every day...and my parents live close to me and have an irish setter and a chow...the breeder I bought her from is excellent, and has helped out a lot, but I have wanted a shiba for over 2 years, but couldn't get one due to living in an apt...The breeder will help out a lot, as she is co owner, untill this pup becomes a champion..what color is your shiba inu, kashi is red and white so far...I hope she doesn't beocme a seaseme color, as I really like the red and white look
