What languages are you fluent in?

Just a quick question.

I am fluent in English, Cantonese and can understand Taishan but can't speak it for some reason.
I can understand certain things in Mandarin and Japanese.
 
english, but as fellow caggers have pointed out to me, my grammer needs work... fuck grammer, fuck logic, this is the CAG lifestyle and offic topic board.. this is the place we can talk about anything, including masterbation :p

also, I took french way back in high school but I barely remember anything since I never put it to use.

Arabic (fluent speaking wise, barely passable reading wise, but I'm planning on relearning once I hit college)

considering learning French (I may end up going to college in Montreal, so I'm putting some thought into whether or not to take a class

Isnt Arabic similar to Hebrew? If it is, reading is the easiest part.

You looking to go to McGill? Or Concordia?

Or Concordia?[/quote]my knowledge of hebrew is rather limited, but from what I've seen of Hebrew (ie. on coke cans and the hebrew coke logo on shirts), its much different). The reason why I essentially fail at reading/writing arabic is because I've lived in the US all my life, but I speak it at home and I visit the Middle East every so often, so speaking wise I can get by.

as for Canada, I'm looking at McGill. I love Montreal (from what I've seen when I've gone to visit some family up there several times) and I can bunk with said family.

I took French in high school but I am far from fluent :lol: I'm going to face a small problem next month when my half bro from France visits with his family; his kids don't speak English or Viet so hopefully I'll know enough French to know when I'm being cussed at

Yeah, I go to the Middle East a fair bit now. Loooove it there.

McGill is a great school. My dad's company partnered with and often hired many McGill engineers. I love Montreal. It's def. a great place to go to college.

my whole fam from both sides came from nam, so all of them know how to speak it...i can understand a small amount of vietnamese, but mostly only the different Viet foods though like pho, goy goong (sp?) (the spring rolls), com tam dac biet (rice with the meat and egg
 
I know a dash of everything (enough to say "certain" phrases and different odd things, as well as basics, but am in no way fluent in any of these languages), but (obviously), I'm fluent in English. As well as English, if you catch my drift. I'm an English nerd, always have been and always will be. Not so much written English, but spoken English. I have problems with written English, but we shant get into that mess of rabbits, shall we?
 
I wish I could fluently speak another language. Took 3 years of Spanish in high school. Since I didn't care to learn it, I did really poorly in it. I really wanted to take German, but they didn't offer it until the year after I graduated. About the only lanuage I really really care to learn are German, Japanese, and maybe Gaelic

Im fluent in English and Spanish.

trying to learn a bit of more languages...I hate the barrier language puts on some gamers...
 
English and Spanish. My Spanish is getting a bit rusty though. I need to start watching more Spanish television, regardless of how annoying it is.

yea, i learned english as my second language too...in elementary school...but i have no accent either
