What new TV shows are you looking forward to this fall?

Of the new shows I definitely wanna see Pushing Daisies, Reaper, and Chuck. Though without a doubt most if not all of them will get cancelled. The Sarah Connor Chronicles has some potential as well. The rest, eh, I think I'll pass on until I see the first episode or see more about them.
I'm looking forward to House, as it is by far one of the best shows on Fox, and it won't get cancelled soon.
Agreed!

House is probably my favorite show. . .ever.

Besides that I'm looking forward to Scrubs, and the comeback of Futurama.

I am a little concerned with the amount of new cast to be appearing on house this year. I don't know how long some of them are on the show for, but they have a good 6 - 7 new doctors on the show. Even though all his underlings quit or were fired last season they are still on the show in some capacity. That is a lot of new faces, and a lot of characters to develope/get air time. I am sure that it will be fine, but I am not looking forward to the show as much as the past due to the potential pitfall from an overcrowded set.

If you are a Heros fan I would be much much more worried.

Only 2 of the new doctors are full time I think.

originally they had only 2 of the new doctors full time, but they have sinced signed some people from other doctor shows (er). Considering that they were on ER regularly I highly doubt they will want a bit part.

They're starting off with 40 new applicants for the open positions on House's team, but they'll all get weeded out over the first 5-6 episodes of the season. Chase, Cameron, and Foreman will still be working in the hospital...just in different departments.

I thought Futurama was just going to be a series of direct-to-DVD movies...is Fox actually resurrecting the show for weekly episodes, too?

They are making 4 DVD "movies", the first comes out in November. Those "movies" with be sliced apart to make a new "season" of episodes for Comedy Central sometime next year, I would guess it would be the end of next year.

i haven't been following any of the promotions for the new shows besides seeing a commercial here or there, but why is everyone so hyped for chuck? i read the premise and it didn't seem that great.

the new shows i'm looking forward to are pushing daisies (i did enjoy dead like me), sarah connor chronicles (it's the fucking terminator!), and maybe moonlight and journeyman.

the big networks are sure pumping out the mystical and sci-fi shows. the trend i love more is the continious story arch most shows seem to be taking rather than the normal one shot storyline for that episode.
most of the tv reviewers find chuck to be funny and overall a good show.
If they'd have gotten Adam Brody to do the main role as they original intended, I think this would be a great show, but now they have a completely uncharismatic in the least schmuck doing his best imitation of Adam Brody.

He was gonig to do the show? I would have watched that every week, he would have been wonderful as the role.

To me it seems like a corny Jake 2.0 ripoff.

Most reviewers thought Studio 60 was an amazing show and they think Pushing Daisies is the amazing show for this year. Sadly they don't seem to be right in either case.

Scrubs and house and even prison break. But I don't watch the seasons until they come to dvd since I can't fucking stand being left on a cliffhanger ending every dam week.

I used to love Bionic Man/Woman as a kid, but I dunno, I can't get very excited about the remake. I'm thinking since reading all the news about the producer from the X-Files leaving over "creative differences" and them having to take a break from production it's really going to suck.

well bionic women has one of the writters from battlestar gallatica and one other guy with really good credits still on the show...while i don't watch it I know that ugly betty had to shut production down for 2 wks last year, as did bothers & sisters. I liked brothers & sisters last year, and I know ugly betty did well last year. So taking a break doesn't always mean bad things. That said, I really haven't boughten into the whole bionic women hype

These are some of my most hyped new shows, though I will be watching more than just this list.

NBC: The Bionic Woman, Chuck, Journeyman
ABC: Carpoolers, Pushing Daisies, Miss Guided
FOX: K-Ville, The Sarah Connor Chronicles

It was the Six Million Dollar Man.

And a lot of new shows take breaks after about episode 7. It depends more on how long the break is than the fact they are taking one. A week break is nothing, a month is bad.

I forgot to include The Sarah Connor Chronicles as a Potentially Good. I saw the pre-release first episode and it looks pretty good. The acting was decent but not great. The chick from Firefly plays
a Terminator Infiltrator.

I'll probably check out 6 or so of the new shows and maybe a couple will hit with me.

Bionic Woman
Chuck
K-Ville - Although there might be too much other stuff on that night... Still I love the black guy in one of two leads. He was awesome on The Shield.
Journeyman - But I'm not too hyped on this one.
Reaper
Moonlight

I'm a sucker for any reality show so I'll probably give Kid Nation a look. I don't know though, maybe not... And I like the BBC version of Kitchen Nightmares so that will probably make it. But it's also up against Criminal Minds and Bionic Woman. One of those three will have to go. I would say CM was a lock to stay, but with the main guy leaving maybe it will drop off in quality. Have to see.

With all the other crap I already watch that's way too many. It's probably going to be one of those deals where if a show doesn't grab me in the first 20 minutes it's out.

thats cool...she has been doing a lot of small roles on several shows...4400, the unit and now the sarah connor chronicles

I saw the pilots for Reaper and Pushing Daisies last weekend, and they were both pretty damn good. Reaper has pretty good staying power, but Pushing Daisies...I dunno...it's way to far outside the box for the general public. I like it, but for the majority of the Gilmore Girls loving public, it'll go right over their head.

Anyway, I just discovered Brimstone for the first time, so i'm enjoying that until Lost/Heroes/Jericho come back.
Summer Glau, methinks.
Yeah that's her. I couldn't think of her name and didn't have time to imdb it. She's kinda weird to me. Sometimes she looks cute; other times she looks punched in the face. :whistle2:s
