What. The. Shaq-fu. This college art gen ed class I signed up for REQUIRES MySpace.

I dunno, just my take on all the dull classes I've slogged through combined with the fact that my (hopeful) future career has absolutely nothing to do with being a history major.

I could sit here and bitch about it which would accomplish nothing, or I can accept it and get on with things. My parents have stories about my Dad taking French classes and my Mom earning a minor in math. My Dad wound up flying helicopters in the Navy while my Mom taught elementary school until us kids came around.
Approximately HALF of my college classes are gen eds, not related at all to my major. Another quarter are business classes, which are sort of related to my major. It's a major reason why I'm sick of college; 90% of the shit I learn (being generous) has nothing to do with my future career. Thank god I'm graduating in June.
Where on earth do you find all the time to play all those RPGs then? That major was hard. Also, if you're in audit, guess what? 5 out the remaining 10 percent has nothing to do with your career.

I'm not bothered by the concept of GEs. To me, it was like watching PBS, but with exams.

I find it quite easy. But that's why I'm majoring in it. And yes I'm in audit. And I'm taking Corporate Tax now. Awesome.

My advice to any college student who is having trouble deciding on a major is to simply pick something you are good at and try out a class or two in it to make sure of it. I suck balls at science, so there is a reason why I am not science, engineering, or premed. I excelled at economics and math in high school so accounting was an easy choice for me to at least try. Acing the introductory accounting courses with no hassles when the average grade at the end of the first one was a D+ was further affirmation that I picked the right major.

that is super gay.....
maybe the professor can twitter her lecture too....
:lol::lol: That would be awesome to see someone do that.
My theory: The prof was trying to stalk attractive students without drawing attention.
That could very well be likely:lol::D
Smart idea dropping the class. At my college we had Blackboard, which is where professors dumped all the stuff you need to bring to class. It had grades and message board functions. What it didn't have were preteens, pedophiles, and ads.
:rofl: This thread is great.:applause::lol:
You are just failing to appreciate the critical role of malware distribution in post-modern artistic paradigms. You Philistine.

Be sure to catch the silent production of 'Ivan the Terrible' made during WWII. I saw it at the Hollywod Bowl with the orchestra doing a live soundtrack. It's completely insane, as if they needed to make Stalin's regime look like a major improvement. Which they did.
:lol::lol:
Music appreciation is hilarious because even infants can enjoy music... Teaching people to listen without playing is not only unnecessary, it's ineffective. It's like teaching an auto mechanics class where you read car schematics and then look at cars driving on the road in order to see how they work.
Wow, very smart analogy

I'm surprised a teacher is even going through the effort of using something like MySpace without being forced to... My college uses Blackboard, but many of the arts/english/math teachers either don't update it at all after uploading their syllabus, or have to be reminded/nagged about it.

Also, I felt this needed to be here:
