I dunno, just my take on all the dull classes I've slogged through combined with the fact that my (hopeful) future career has absolutely nothing to do with being a history major.

I could sit here and bitch about it which would accomplish nothing, or I can accept it and get on with things. My parents have stories about my Dad taking French classes and my Mom earning a minor in math. My Dad wound up flying helicopters in the Navy while my Mom taught elementary school until us kids came around.

Where on earth do you find all the time to play all those RPGs then? That major was hard. Also, if you're in audit, guess what? 5 out the remaining 10 percent has nothing to do with your career.

I'm not bothered by the concept of GEs. To me, it was like watching PBS, but with exams.

I find it quite easy. But that's why I'm majoring in it. And yes I'm in audit. And I'm taking Corporate Tax now. Awesome.

My advice to any college student who is having trouble deciding on a major is to simply pick something you are good at and try out a class or two in it to make sure of it. I suck balls at science, so there is a reason why I am not science, engineering, or premed. I excelled at economics and math in high school so accounting was an easy choice for me to at least try. Acing the introductory accounting courses with no hassles when the average grade at the end of the first one was a D+ was further affirmation that I picked the right major.

I'm surprised a teacher is even going through the effort of using something like MySpace without being forced to... My college uses Blackboard, but many of the arts/english/math teachers either don't update it at all after uploading their syllabus, or have to be reminded/nagged about it.
