What was the last CD you bought? - The Sequel
Boris - Akuma No Uta
This, and Bauhaus - Into The White.

Also of note, I passed up on a 99-cent "We Are the World" 7" as well as a sealed $5 original copy of "Rant N' Rave With the Stray Cats."

What do you want a medal?

Picked up NIN - Ghosts I-IV

Danity Kane - Welcome to the Dollhouse

Only because I'm getting it signed by them later this evening. When I got to Best Buy, there were already five people in line. The two people at the end of the line were there since 9 AM (an hour before the store even opened). Now I just need to figure out how to take a shower without ruining this wristband.

She & Him - Volume 1
Freddy Cruger - Rainy Days 12"
King Most - Remixes 12"
Yosaku/Green Tea - Future Paradise/Wonderful Beats 12"

I've got a few other coming but I was in a rush in the store (was running late for a lunch meeting) so have to go back later tonight

I hate myself for it but...
Flo Rida- Mail on Sunday (Deluxe Edition)

and much more importantly, the sequel to one of my favourite albums ever:
Gnarls Barkley-The Odd Couple

A Kiss Could Be Deadly

Also picked up Siouxsie's Mantaray on vinyl.

Nice. One of my favorite albums of all time.
Odd Couple's release date got bumped up, it's available now.
*Runs out to the store.*

Excellent. So close to being as good as St.Elsewhere. I loved it.
My ratings for Gnarls Barkley (I rate each song out of 5, divide by number of tracks, etc.)

Gnarls Barkley/St.Elsewhere-(4.57/A+)
Gnarls Barkley/The Odd Couple-(4.38/A)

So, they're both phenomenal, but St.Elsewhere is just flawless.

I'm not sure what possessed me to buy this 2CD dance music compilation (maybe it was the somewhat hot chick on the cover) but I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the songs. There are a few song that are "meh" but otherwise, it was worth the $10 at Best Buy.

ditto on Gnarls Barkley. I'm kind of regretting it though, its mellow and isn't hitting me like the first one.

That's what I've been hearing.

I listened to most of it last night and not too much of it jumped out at me, but I like what I remember.

I hate to quote Pitchfork, but this one seems like much more of a grower than St. Elsewhere, which I might listen to next.

Trust me on this one, The Odd Couple is ABSOLUTELY a growing album. I was thinking "this BLOWS compared to St. Elsewhere" after a couple listens...
Now, I've probably played through it about 20 or so times. Its ALWAYS on for me, and I can't get enough of it.
Early leader for Album for 2008 leader (2006 was St.Elsewhere for me, and 2007 was Kala by MIA (tied with Chase this Light by Jimmy Eat World and Yours Truly, Angry Mob by the Kaiser Chiefs).

But whatever you do, keep listening to The Odd Couple.
