What was the last concert/show you went to?
The Death Set is tomorrow night.
They are really good live, seen them many times. Is that the tour with Totally Michael? Hes a good friend of mine. Check him out if you can.

Saw DD/MM/YYYY, Wavves, Vampire Hands, and Real Estate on Monday. Pretty solid lineup overall but thought Wavves & Real Estate were the standouts.

Late of the Pier
Weds, April 1 @
Bowery Ballroom, NYC

Good show. Lots of ass shaking.
Not completely overrun by retarded Brooklyn hipsters, either.
Hearos are the best for concerts/shows. SenorWoohoo speaks the truth.

Etymotic also makes some good ones.
I have some ER20s that I'll use when it gets really bad. I think triple-flange earplugs are the most uncomfortable things in the world, but these attenuators will certainly prevent your ears from ringing afterward, which is nice.

I could go to an Eve6 concert tonight if I wanted to. They're playing on my campus and it's free.

However, I could shit a better band than Eve6...

If I can get tickets, I'm going to see Muse in October at Ray Jay. Unfortunately, U2 is the headliner (facepalm) so I have to see them too.

I badly want to see Muse but it's fucking ridiculous that they're not headlining, furthermore I bet prices will be ridiculous since it's U2.

I meant to go to this show, but a car wreck just an hour beforehand prevented a good night from happening. I've seen the Death Set one other time, and I hope to again (more so now, because of the missed opportunity).

Clap Your Hands and Say Yeah

They were kinda really shitty. Left after one song. I would've been pissed if it hadn't been a free show.

This. Well the prices weren't to bad. I got GA(standing room in front of stage) for $55. Believe me I only want to see Muse, but I am going with my friend and she likes both so I am going to have to stay. I'm just glad I'm going to see Muse

Got our tickets last night for the Distant Worlds show. About 45 mins away. Didnt know it was coming to town until I heard the radio ad yesterday.

Any one seen 'Ka' at the 'mgm grand' in las vegas. its not a band, its cirque du soleil. its really awesome, everyone should watch it.

Scored U2 tickets to the Atlanta show yesterday. Went with $95 seats as I hate doing the standing area general admission crap--especially for big arena shows.

Stoked for the show as U2 is probably at the top of my list of bands I've yet to see live.

The Ting Tings with Hottub.

Hottub were terrible, and it was one of the worst crowds I've ever been in. Ting Tings played a really good show though. Any band that plays the theme song for Ghostbusters is ok in my book.

The Faint
w/ some boring, immediately forgotten opening band
@ Toad's Place, New Haven, CT
4/9/09

Lots of dancing. Awesome setlist. Great energy on and off the stage.
This might have been the most fun I've had on a Thursday night EVER.

My friend Brandon took this:

Cloud Cult with Margot & the Nuclear So and So's in Cleveland. Venue was nothing to write home about, but the show was good.

Saw Suffocation :)D) two weeks ago. They were AWESOME. Opening for them was Decrepit Birth (meh), Psycroptic (woo!), Veil of Maya (good, can't wait for their songwriting to mature a little bit), and Whitechapel (???). Great show for $20.

Just got back from Lupe Fiasco with Girl Talk.

It was at an outdoor venue, and it was snowing. :cold: I would have frozen to death if it wasn't for all the sweaty white guys surrounding me. Lupe was really good, and I thought Girl Talk was a little boring. But it was a pretty good show, definitely worth the $5.

Flight of the Conchords at the Fabulous Fox last Saturday. Kristen Schaal (better known as Mel on the show) opened. Even big fans of the show know her only by Mel. So when Jermaine did the v.o. introducing her by her real name, people were like "Huh?" but then they saw it was Mel and they went apeshit. She was pretty darn funny. Did stand up, a little prop comedy.

The guys kept referring to us as "The Lost City of Atlanta" and addressed us as merpeople. Someone inevitably shouted for Freebird and Jemaine said, "We don't play that. Another band plays that. I think they are doing a show nearby."

Later, someone shouted "Men At Work," and that elicited a chuckle from the guys. At first they said they don't play other band's songs. "We can barely play our own." But then Bret tried to riff on "Down Under" and failed miserably. Jemaine took a shot and actually was able to get it started. But they didn't know any of the words except "Vegemite sandwich." They then revealed that they had actually done a gig up in Canada with Colin Hay -- "A southern hemisphere extravaganza!" -- where he taught them how to play it. But they've since completely forgotten it.

Someone else randomly shouted "SEASON 3" later in the show, and they laughed and said, "What? Here? How's that going to work?" And then they kind of moved their chairs around and after riffing on the opening theme, imitated Murray saying "Okay guys, band meeting. Jemaine?" "Present." "Bret?" "Present."
Sleepytime Gorilla Museum was last night. One of the best performances I've seen.

And, Liquid, Carla is pregnant.
I'm sorry you had to hear it this way.

Some dildo yelled Freebird (like at every concert), so SGM actually played it, and faded it into 1997 for the the encore.

The Peanut Butter & Jelly Party in Nashville, TN.
Pretty dope overall got there an hour late so I missed some of the performers. Saw the Scribbling Idiots (Only saw one song:bomb:), Odd Thomas, Propaganda, Braille and Redcloud.

Never seen them live, though I've heard good things. Any band that actually plays Freebird when requested is ok in my book.

I saw My Bloody Valentine for a few songs before a bunch of (personal) band drama went down. Such a waste of a once in a lifetime chance to see them.

Whaaat? What happened?

Also, Pelican is playing with Isis. This is fucking awesome.

Foo Fighters last year. I can't see any good shows cause I'm stuck on campus. I mean Death Cab for Cutie is playing on campus soon (or did they already) but I don't really care for them though I have their album Plans.

Damn. So you've been talking about this show for months? Just make sure you get close to his table so you can help him with his lights and shit 8)

I'm excited because it's at a small venue, the place used to be someone's garage. Shows are really fun here.

That picture was taken when I was standing at the back of the venue.
