What was the worst movie you ever saw at the movie theater?

Only movie I ever walked out on was Shallow Hal... DAMN that movie sucked......

Pirates of the Caribbean 3 was fucking terrible, 300 I fell asleep during (I was pretty drunk though)

but the absolute worst of all time had to be

Wing Commander, legitimately the worst movie I ever saw, theatre or otherwise

I'm going to see Southland Tales in theaters when it comes to this town, and that will immediately become the worst movie I've ever seen in theaters. I'm just going to see it for irony purposes, because it's insanely horrible.

My least favorite movie I remember seeing in the theaters is easily The Matrix. I probably saw a lot worst when I was younger but cant think of any. But The Matrix was pretty bad. IMO.

Battlefield Earth. actually only one of a handful of movies I paid to see that year. I guess it was penance for all the movies we snuck in for.

Shit I forgot POTC 2. That was fucking horrible.

Reminded me of this. That movies has some great unintentionally funny scenes. (This doen't really get good until around 2:05)

"DO YOU WANT LUNCH?!"

I need to add another movie to my post on the first page: Cars. I had to see it with my family, and my god, was it horrible. That movie could have had its running time cut in half without sacrificing any of the story.

Starsky and Hutch was the only movie that ever made me fall asleep in the theater.

Paycheck was probably the worst movie I've seen in the theater though.
Master of Disguise
That's the one! I couldn't remember what the hell it was called.

Christ that movie was awful.

You know, it wasn't the worst movie I've seen in a theater, but boy, The Blair Witch Project was the one that got me the most pissed.

Episode I made me feel the emptiest, for what it's worth. Psychologically staggered, I had to lean against my car in the parking lot afterwards. One of the people in the group asked me what was wrong. I waved him off, telling him he'd better get back to watching the dorks fighting with the toy lightsabers.*

*--None of this happened, but damnit, it could have.

Based on these responses, I must have a high tolerance for shit movies.

I have walked out of two movies in my life: Mafia! (Jay Mohr), and The Order (Heath Ledger). Both had me sitting there staring at the screen unable to comprehend what the fuck I was watching. Ultimately Mafia! wins since it was agreed upon by the other two people I was with to leave. I watched The Order when I was in Orlando by myself, and needed shit to do one afternoon. I chose poorly.

I remember getting dragged into seeing Boomerang when I was in junior high (a shitty Eddie Murphy movie). We were the only ones in there and got so bored we just launched saliva-coated Jujubes to see if they'd stick to the movie screen. We walked out halfway through.
Hands down Lady in the Water.

Pure. Utter. Bullshit.

A crime against film making.
That reminds me, The Village was a hot turd.

Dragon Wars. WTF was that movie even about. So bad it hurt, I hate my Korean friend for forcing me to see this.

Battlefield Earth. Heh, this one took all of 1 second of thinking and that was just trying to remember the name of the movie, Man-animal!
Master of Disguise
Shit yeah I saw that one too! And Spirits Within, the Tomb Raider movies, Power Rangers.... I'm just going to stop updating my list, I'm just gonna keep being reminded even more shitty movies I've seen as people mention them.

Black Knight
The Banger Sisters
Poseidon

But the absolute winner...

A Sound Of Thunder

How it did not go direct-to-video is beyond me; I saw it at a free advanced screening and people were literally hysterically laughing at how horrible it was.

Taxi (the one with whats-his-face fallon and big latifah) That was the day I realized I would stop going to the movies every weekend and embrace rottentomatoes.com.

Now I am starting to recall a few other bad ones...

AvP (but hopefully next months AvP:R will be a lot better then that crap)

Alien Resurrection

Last year's My super ex girlfriend (that was when I was single)

Silent Hill was a pretty good movie if you could figure out how the ending worked.

I would say the First Pirates movie but I kinda lost intrest during the final act of the movie and hit stop on my dvd player... This was like I think 3 years ago?

Ghost Rider was borderline so so/ ok, it almost lead to bad but it managed to keep it on so so.

Charlies Angels.....oh my fucking god what the hell was that? Yet the sequel was the first movie to be honored as the first movie to be put on Blue Ray Disc???!?!

Species 1 and Species 2.

Red Planet

Mission to Mars

Both those two mars movies sucked, but their respected scores were pretty good and so where their special effects.
The Matrix Revolutions
The special effects in that movie was great but the final scene just totally killed it.

You mean the final fight or just the very last scene?
The only one that immediately comes to mind is Jarhead. God, what a fucking awful movie. I was there with my friends and if we didn't all take the same car, I would've left.
I second this. That was a serious shitfest. As usual, the only funny part was the first 45 seconds with the drill sergeant, but even that felt like a ripoff of Full Metal Jacket.
You mean the final fight or just the very last scene?
The final fight, espically the music was extremly good and powerful... the final scene with the kid, the kungfu guy and the old lady looking at the now reset Matrix and the sunset just really pissed me off.

Oh, and anything by those dipshit Wayans brothers. You know, that visual emesis White Chicks or that celluloid diarrhea Little Man.

Didn't bother me really.

The only thing from all the Matrix movies that bothered me was that STUPID scene in reloaded where everyone is dancing. That was a terrible, horrible, unneeded scene.

Oh yea that scene were everyone boogies down, half naked and Neo and Trin get it on...

Now see I think the last movie would have saved face if instead of that sun set scene and Trin's lame death...she some how survives and tells Morphious that she's carrying Neo's child now that would be something else.

oh well.

I like it when main characters get killed off at the end of movie series/trilogies. Shows that they aren't that invincible.

I forgot just about everything from the Matrix trilogy. All I can remember is the lobby fight scene from the first one, and some old lady sitting on a bench, I presume, at the end of the third one.

There was also bench sitting in the second movie right before the Smith fight. Can't remember if there was bench sitting in the first movie though

play that bury brawl fight scene in Matrix: The Path of Neo... man that was nuts.

I can usually tell if I'm going to like a movie based on the trailers. I guess that's why I have never walked out on a movie.

Let's see, other shitty movies I have seen in the Kino...
The Fog (Remake)
Harry Potter Films
Ghost Rider
Shrek and its sequels
The Matrix sequels (I did not see the first one until it came out on cable)
There was also bench sitting in the second movie right before the Smith fight. Can't remember if there was bench sitting in the first movie though
Bench sitting: serious biznass. Oh, and I remember something about someone running into a subway tunnel and then coming back out the opposite end, SMB2 style.

Also orgies.

Dammit, I was happy when these memories were suppressed.

Remember that part at the end of the first one where Neo was all "My name...is NEO" cuz he forgot what his name was?
