The Bomberman Ultra demo was insanely fun, despite being insanely limited. My friend and I spent well over an hour playing the same level with a 2 minute time limit over and over. The only reason why we stopped was because it was getting late.

I should definitely check out the full version.

A fellow CAG tipped me off to the fact that the PSN download version of Burnout Paradise is not compatible with save data from the disc-based version of the game. Just a heads up to those thinking of buying it.

Don't download it or install it once if you already downloaded it. If you already installed it, you'll have to delete the game data and redownload the other DLC.

ill go ahead and delete it since i havent dled the full game yet.

I forgot how much I love(d) Medievil.:D It just oozes lighthearted Halloween fun ala Costume Quest.:applause:

I didn't remember our hero biting the dust in the first volley of the battle. *mumblemumblemumble*

Arianny Celeste theme released at the same time as "Turning Japanese". Coincidence??

As a PS+ member, this is a great update. I always wanted to play Medieval and I've never heard of those minis so I'l have plenty to check out this week.

Now it may actually take a week. Is anyone else experiencing "undergoing maintenance" popups when they try to get to the store?

Is anyone else experiencing "undergoing maintenance" popups when they try to get to the store?
That's what I was going to ask....every store I tried to get into is down, US, UK, HK. Better be in preparation for the JPN store coming back and not those damn hackers again. :bomb:
Did anyone get Gatling Gears? I played the demo and really enjoyed it. Hoping someone can give a better impresson of how the game plays out.
The demo isn't a very good indicator of the full game, it's much better, I enjoyed the full game much more than the demo, so I say it's a safe $10 purchase, that if you liked the demo you'll enjoy the full game much more.
The Japanese PS Store is up now, so you should be able to log in to PSN now.
You are correct as usual sir

My downloads from the JP store are so much damn faster than the US/EU ones.

I'm grabbing all of the content, Plus and Welcome Back, and seeing what all has expiration dates.

Just bought a Greatest Hits version of Burnout Paradise about a month or so. Maybe I should jump on the DLC or even the bundle itself. Also, just got a used copy of Beyond Good and Evil for the PS2, debating if I should get the HD version.

Might get Powerstone Collection since I have the UMD version, but couldn't stand the load times, hopefully it is an improved version.

Just noticed in the PSone imports section: Shienryu
I heard that Geikoh Shooting Kings was based off of this game. Might have to check it out, hopefully they have the same amount of modes.

Edit: Seems Geikoh Shooting Kings was weaker port/soundtrack was poorer, but added more modes. Wish there was an Ultimate Geikoh Shooting Kings/Shienryu Extra with the original soundtrack and the extra modes. Or at least, release Geikoh Shooting Kings on the PSone store.
Big surf island (click for further details) is a no-brainer as in addition to the new, large playground of big surf island, you get 9 new unlockable cars, 4 of which are toy versions of the legendary cars pack.
I think I'm gonna finally bite on Big Surf Island. Give me a reason to play Burnout again...
I forgot how much I love(d) Medievil.:D It just oozes lighthearted Halloween fun ala Costume Quest.:applause:
Medievil was one of my favorite PS1 games I owned...this is one of the better Classics titles they've given out for free.

I downloaded Bomberman Ultra. I must not understand the concept yet of how to win in that game because I was getting my ass kicked by the CPU on easy...:wall:
Bought Burnout + Big Surf Island and Power Stone

Is Darkstalkers worth the $5, anyone know? It's the only game I am debating.
i picked it up but havent played it yet but from what i read about it on wikipedia its kinda like having all the games even the japanese ones that didnt come here in one. you can choose your characters fighting style from each of the series.

i would have gotten powerstone but i already have the disk so unless it loads quicker as a dl version i wont do it.

btw does anyone have ultimate ghouls and ghosts is it worth picking up?

I'll pick up burnout (and possibly the big surf pack as well) tomorrow after I get paid.

Some of the PSP deals are making me wish I had a psp. or at least that the :ps3: allowed you to play psp games on it.

Might as well grab Darkstalkers then. I enjoy fighters and it's $4.99 so it's almost a no brainer for me.

Nice, I'm definitely in for PixelJunk Shooter 2 (never played the first though) and maybe Swarm. I'm not sure about Back to the Future or any of the others... I already have Pac-Man and Risk Factions (on the 360).

Is this Chime the same as the one on the 360?

I have a sneaky feeling Tales from Space may be a free PS+ game some day, so I will probably hold off on that.

Yeah, but it has twice the songs with new multiplayer and co-op modes.

You should also get the first PJ Shooter, as you'll be able to get a special set of avatars for owning both games.

Wow, now that all the clingers-on are done with their free month of PS+, they're rolling out the big guns.

Down for a shit-ton of stuff. I just wish I hadn't already redeemed my Borderlands DLC, I've only played it like 4 hours so far but I guess I just keep the disc at this point.

I'm not done with my month of free PS+. I knew sony would pull this so I waited until July 1st to activate it.

So I guess us "clingers-on" can still get in on this goodness. :booty:

I just played the demo of the first game, and I think I'm in love. But the idea of paying full price for something on the PSN store just makes me itch. Any thoughts on whether this will go on sale again, or is it simply too old at this point?

Yes, this... I will buy the first when it is on sale or a PS+ freebie ;). I can play the second for now and be happy with that.

Since the second is going to be on sale, maybe the first will get some perm price drop sooner or later. But if ever there was a game to pay full price on PSN for, this is one. Of you course thats all opinion. ...and the fact is I waited to buy PJ Shooter 2 didnt I? So here I am telling you to pay full price while I dont. Aren't I nice? lol

Tried Burnout after literally 3 and a half hours of updating.

I am in fucking love. That game is awesome.

I owned burnout 3 for PS2 and while it was a good game, it was hard as fuck and well having an open city here makes the game that much more enjoyable. While I don't care about trophies, I find it fun that game has like 96 trophies or some crap in it. I must of unlocked like 10-12 trophies in like two hours of playing, lol.

While I don't care about trophies, I find it fun that game has like 96 trophies or some crap in it. I must of unlocked like 10-12 trophies in like two hours of playing, lol.
Man, I just had the same experience. I started the game up about five hours ago, figuring I'd at least take it for a spin (I'm playing the free EU PS+ version), and...well, here I am, still awake five hours later. I don't usually like racing games, or open world games for that matter, but the combination of the two is some kind of crazy fun alchemy. I'm definitely gonna buy the US version and some DLC. I'm loving the sales PSN is running this month!

If you ever watched the movie The Blues Brothers, the whole game is like modeled after that car chase scene. I can't wait to get home and play more tonight, such a good time.
