Here's The Drop for this week:

Guacamelee! (Cross-Buy PS3/PS Vita) – Guacamelee is a Metroidvania style game with a light world/dark world component where you play as a luchador. The game can be played entirely cooperatively with the first player controlling Juan and the second playing a woman known as Tostada. The combat consists of melee attacks, as the name suggests, such as punches, grapples and throws. There are also other moves you learn to help traverse the environment such as uppercuts, ground pounds and turning into a chicken. The switching between the light and dark worlds is done on the fly and is used in both combat and traversal.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown – XCOM: Enemy Unknown will place you in control of a secret paramilitary organization called XCOM. As the XCOM commander, you will defend against a terrifying global alien invasion by managing resources, advancing technologies, and overseeing combat strategies and individual unit tactics.

The original X-COM is widely regarded as one of the best games ever made and has now been re-imagined by the strategy experts at Firaxis Games. XCOM: Enemy Unknown will expand on that legacy with an entirely new invasion story, enemies and technologies to fight aliens and defend Earth. You will control the fate of the human race through researching alien technologies, creating and managing a fully operational base, planning combat missions and controlling soldier movement in battle.

Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. – Set in conceived version of the future inspired by the best-selling Tom Clancy videogame franchises, this flight combat action game imagines a world where a private military force has cumulated such power that it attacks the USA. Thrust into the cockpits of incredibly powerful and technologically advanced jet fighters, gamers will benefit from hi-tech piloting assistance, providing comfort, security and enhanced perception. As players gain skills and confidence, they will be able to shed the assistance. But before choosing performance over security, they’ll have to weigh the risks carefully.

John Daly’s Prostroke Golf – John Daly’s ProStroke Golf is an interactive game with a number of fully licensed courses and five different play modes. Put the ball in play with the revolutionary design and realistic physics of ProStroke View and Prostroke Swing!

I think the better question is why bring RPGs over here without translating them. I'm pretty sure all of the people who REALLY wanted to play them imported them years ago.

No. You get 4 short campaign stories (4th isn't out yet) + level uncap + new true vault hunter mode (playthrough 3). You'll be missing the mecromancer class, the other class not announced yet, various skins, and others I'm forgetting.
 
The "other class" was indeed announced: the psycho, Kreig.

If you waited this long for BL2, you can wait for the GOTY which will likely have everything at a lower retail price.

It absolutely is. People were doing that with Firepro Returns back when all PS3s were compatible with PS2 games.

SCEA PSN team is just terribly mismanaged. Nothing else to it.

Maintenance has long since been over. Other regions updated their stores many hours ago.
And SCEA can't even post text update to their original one 13 hours ago.

Dead Island Riptide (Also on PS3 Blu-ray) – The survivors of Banoi thought they had escaped the terrors of the tropical island and survived the apocalypse on a corrupted paradise. Then their fate took a turn for the worse. Shortly after the battle-hardened team had landed their helicopter on a military ship, a furious storm hits and havoc quickly spreads on board. Suddenly they find themselves struggling for their lives again with all hope drowning in the rising waves.

With invigorating new elements infused into a proven mix, Dead Island Riptide reanimates the zombie terror for a second battle for life against the dead. A monsoon has hit the once beautiful archipelago and heavy rainstorms have laid waste to large areas of the islands. The city of Henderson and jungle areas on the island of Palanai were flooded leaving boats as the only remaining way of transportation.

Thomas Was Alone (PS3/PS Vita Cross-Buy) – Thomas Was Alone is a platformer where the goal is simple – get all the characters to their exit portals. You’ll find that becomes increasingly harder than it sounds. Use their skills in tandem, be it flotation, anti-gravity, bounciness or, well, jumping slightly higher. Along the way, you’ll hear an awesome story narrated by Danny Wallace (Assassin’s Creed) and scored by the epically talented David Housden. On PS Vita, you can use the touchscreens to select characters, or to control the camera.

Star Trek: The Game (Also on PS3 Blu-ray) – This action-packed Star Trek game is based in the continuity set up in the 2009 reboot of Gene Roddenberry’s classic series by J. J. Abrams. The Star Trek video game offers a sweeping journey of epic proportions across unexplored planets and enemy battleships with the latest 23rd century weapons and gear. It boasts a story filled with action-packed combat as Kirk and Spock work together to stop a legendary enemy race bent on conquering the galaxy. And for the first time ever, players are cast as Captain James T. Kirk and Spock in an unprecedented co-op experience, where the complementary personalities of these iconic characters push players to make strategic use of their alliance.

Draw Slasher (PS Vita/PSN Exclusive) – A long time ago, but not so far away, Pirate Monkey Zombies – stupid, smelly, ugly, rotten and disgusting creatures – invaded a peaceful village. They kidnapped Hanzo’s – a rather short ninja’s – family. Take control of his awesome blade and aid him in the quest to free them.

God Mode (Demo Available) – God Mode is set in a twisted version of Greek mythology and the afterlife. The player is a descendant of an ancient God whose family has been banished by Hades from Mt. Olympus and turned into a mere mortal. To avoid an afterlife of eternal damnnation, the player must battle through this purgatory known as the Maze of Hades against an army of the underworld.

Soul Calibur V – SoulCalibur V picks up 17 years after the events of SoulCalibur IV with new heroes and returning warriors clashing in an epic showdown between good and evil. The tale of Patroklos, son of Sophitia Alexandra, unfolds as his family’s destiny intertwines with the Soul swords.

Black Rock Shooter: The Game (PSP/PSN Exclusive) – Earth has been ruthlessly assaulted by extraterrestrials, and nineteen years of nonstop battle now threaten the very existence of humanity. The last hope for human survival is BRS, a heroine created solely to save planet Earth; she is the ultimate battle android. But when she is awakened to end the battle once and for all, there are only twelve human beings left on Earth… Black Rock Shooter: The Game is based on the cutting edge music OAV anime from Ordet and Good Smile Company.

Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions of WWII – In this game, you are the leader of Operation Wildcard, an undercover and elite squad of pilots secretly created by the American government. Your mission is to sabotage and destroy the Third Reich’s evil plans to create a weapon of mass destruction. During this mission you and your team discover that the bad guys also have an elite team of their own. Guilty Gear XX Accent Core: Plus R (PS Vita) – Arc System Works’ high-resolution fighter now comes to the Playstation Network. With the extended “Plus” version, you can dish out even more mind-numbing, insane combos with 25 crazy combatants.

I want to buy FirePro so bad but I need to know if it supports imported save files first. I have access to so many custom rings/wrestlers/federations that without that FirePro would be a much less appealing purchase.
 
But the customized PS2 saves are on the PS3 as a virtual memory card correct? Don't PSN titles like this save into the "Save Data Utility" category on the PS3? There might be something online that will convert the PS2 saves into PS3 saves otherwise I don't think it will work like I want it to.
 
No, PS2 Classics save like normal PS3 games in the PS2 save folder, so all you have to do is copy them to a USB drive, connect it to your PC, and upload somewhere to share with others. I don't know how it'll work with original PS2 saves, but I'm sure the community will figure it out.

The auto-download stuff from the web PS Store seems to be live now:
A new feature has been added to the Sony Entertainment Network Webstore, the ability to queue up content to be downloaded the next time you turn a system on. You can access your queue from the following link. We last heard of this when firmware 4.40 was released.

As mentioned before the auto-downloading will only work when you turn the system on, it will not wake your PS3 up from a cold start. It did auto-download my queue when I manually turned the system on. But if you happen to have a Vita or PSP lying around you could Remote Play and turn your system on to start your downloads if you are away from home. And of course if you have PlayStation Plus, it will process this queue when it does its nightly sync.

For Vita, as long as you are connected to the internet it will process your queue. From testing on my device, it took about 10min for the game to get pushed out and downloaded.

There are some interesting things you can do from your download list now as well. You can add games to which ever queue you want. So if it is a Cross buy title, you can choose to have it add to both PS3 and Vita queues, or just one of them.

While this isn’t a perfect solution for push downloads, it does do the trick. You can learn more about Remote Downloading to your PlayStation devices here.

I'm happy that came down in price, but annoyed too since I bought the damn thing about 6 weeks ago (put it toward my spend $50 get $10 back thing, just annoyed that I thought they had forgotten about it, and here it is and considerably cheaper too, :lol:

All well, great game and worth picking up for Ape Escape fans, just don't expect anything but a turned based RPG with loads of mini-games and battling.
