What's in the PS Store (5/31/16): Neon Chrome, Oxenfree, Primal, There Came an Echo, Plague Inc, & More!

That's pretty cool of NISA. If Disgaea's $5 that's just too sweet a deal to pass up. I'm thinking their crappier titles will be $5 though, which isn't bad for me since I've bought all of their quality titles already and would be interested in dragoneer's aria and blade dancer for $5 a piece.
http://twitter.com/SonyPlayStation/status/3847327401
Do they usually announce PSN releases with those PS3 new releases on their Twitter feed?

Maybe they just accidently put it on the PS3 releases when it isn't supposed to be announced until tomorrow's PSN update? Maybe..... hopefully.....

Its definitely wishful thinking on my part, but it does seem like they usually announce retail, disc-based games on Twitter with "New PS3 release(s)" and PSN titles are usually only announced on Thursday's "New to PlayStation Store" tweets.

So, hopefully they just got confused about which Tweet to put it in and it'll come out tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

THis NIS sale comes at the perfect time for me. I'll be getting a PSP Go and looking for a few games besides GT to download. I'll definitely grab Prinny and maybe Badman. I'll skip Disgaea since I already own it on the PS2, PSP and DS...

PS1 Classics
Silent Hill - $5.99 - 294 MB
Wow, I traded my PS1 copy of Silent Hill for Condemned 2 and $20 about two weeks ago. Looks like I made the right choice.

fuck yes im getting silent hill!!!!!!!!! ive been wanting to play this again for a while now. sony is the shit. now just release parappa the rapper, re 2 and re3 and im a happy man.curse you sony for making me a hypocrite.........

Good update today; they're really rolling with the PSOne Classics.

Yeah, I said it.
I heard another Spec Ops is coming.

There seems to be a $0.99 "Summer" Sale in the video store for all episodes in season one of these series:

30 Rock
Battlestar Galactica
Eureka
Friday Night Lights
Heroes
Psych
The Office

That's for the SD versions, while HD versions of those episodes are $1.99.
Going to pick up Legacy of Kain and Silent Hill.
Same here. The 5.99 price point is perfect. I don't mind encouraging Sony with my money when they're doing good things.

Bring on the cheapass NIS America games.

Good update. Always wanted to play Silent Hill, Freezepop on Rock Band, Katamari Forever demo, and WipEout Pulse on the PlayStation store? Good update!

HELL YES to Silent Hill! Now I can finally play the series. For comparison the cheapest auction for it on ebay in the last week that includes a manual is $17.50 + $3 shipping, not including any fees. Most others are a bit more. Don't know if ebay charges fees for buying, I know at least paypal does. This is a great deal!

Also contemplating Legacy of Kain, which the cheapest ebay price is ~$8 including shipping/not inc fees except one unique auction that was listed for charity at $5 fs/not inc fees. Have the loading times improved at all for Legacy of Kain? Will probably hold off for now.

I don't know if Legacy of Kain loading times were so bad because of the PS1 cd speed, the coding, or both. But hopefully they're at least a little better.

Katamari demo - well, now, I will need to take a break from work tonight and go upstairs and get that bad boy!
If NIS America does indeed release those titles at those price points, I might buy all of them. That is appropriate pricing for DD PSP releases.

I still have Disgaea 1 on PSP sealed in the package, I might sell it off here or on eBay.
Well, fuck... I bought that for $40 when it first came out and never touched it. I also have the PS1 version (purchased a beat up one for $40-$50 when it was hard to find) and the DS version. Plus Disgaea 2 for PS2 and on its way now for PSP. Plus Disgaea 3 for PS3. And I have yet to play a damn one.

IGN posted a list of PSN titles that will be shown at the TGS, and there are some very interesting titles on the list, mainly Disgaea Infinite.

IGN article

PLAYSTATION NETWORK

 • Angel Senki (PS3)
 • PixelJunk Shooter (PS3)
 • Thexder Neo (Square Enix, PSP)
 • Crystal Defenders (Square Enix, PSP)
 • Gravity Crush (Sony, PS3)
 • Hustler King (Sony, PS3)
 • Fat Princess (PS3)
 • LocoRoco Midnight Carnival (PSP)
 • Play x Catalog (Sony, PSP)
 • x-Radar Portable (Sony Marketing, PSP)
 • Disgaea Infinite (Nippon Ichi, PSP)

The Red Faction: Guerrilla Multiplayer Pack is a week early:

First off, the DLC was supposed to come out on the 17th. We've contacted Sony to find out what occurred and why it went live early, but for now, yes, it appears to be live for a small portion of the population. Obviously, this was not intended.
For those unaware, DLC Pack 2 for PS3 users is now available on the US PSN store. All other versions including international PS3 and every 360 region, will go live as planned on September 17th. Since certain PS3 users now have the DLC, we're also going to update the playlists on PS3 only, which should go live in about an hour. This update will include the new Big Boomers as well, along with Double XP on "Big Boomers" and both Bagman modes.

Please note that you will need to have the DLC in order to even see the Bagman/Team Bagman playlists, but Big Boomers will be available to everyone.

**EDIT**
PS3 Big Boomers Playlist and Double XP is now LIVE. Enjoy!

I'm surprised nobody here noticed or mentioned the Juggernaut Add-on "mistake" in the Playstation Store. :D Long story short, it was supposed to be a free patch to allow you to play the game with those who had pre-ordered the game from GameStop and get Juggernaut as a bonus. Not a $1.99 paid DLC. So now I'm out $1.99... that's not a whole lot so it's not the main problem, but I also took steps to cancel my preorder in favor of searching for the game at a local store instead of paying $65.84 including the exorbitant California state sales tax in my zip code.

I think if I want to play it safe I have no choice but to allow my preorder to go through. In which case I should still probably get in contact with the Playstation store to see if they are going to reimburse me for their mistake. Any suggestions on how I should proceed from here or if anyone here knows how I'm supposed to get ahold of Playstation Store's customer support to ask them for help with my issue?

It's probably because everyone already knows the only mistake is probably they put it up too early. And it is still free if you pre-ordered it(You just need to follow the directions on Gamestops site). They did the same thing with the Wolverine game. People who pre-ordered the game got the "exclusive" Weapon X training room and with in a few weeks it was up as paid DLC.

What you say is essentially true. I guess the biggest problem I have with this whole thing is the feeling that Gamestop/Playstation Store/Whichever person(s) are ultimately responsible for marketing this Add-On for the Developers have pulled a fast one on me. Because the only reason I preordered through Gamestop is because they had advertised the Add-On as "Exclusive Content". I don't mind that people can get it as DLC later on. But when the Tax costs almost 3 times the amount of the DLC, I can't help feeling ripped off you know? :D Anyways, sorry for the mini-rant just needed to get this off my chest.

Oh, one other thing Gamestop changed the steps for getting the exclusive content. Originally I was expecting a code in the email, now it's coming on a card with the game itself... seems like a recipe for some unscrupulous piracy, sadly. :(
in case no one knows, you can get a decent wipeout fury dynamic theme free on the euro store.
Yea, that theme is pretty cool, but it makes me wish the dynamic themes had background sound. Not at a loud volume, mind you, but some noise would be nice, in my opinion, for that one.

And for the LBP theme, which I didn't buy--I'm not into buying stuff I can't really interact with--it would be cool if you could hear Sackboy's footsteps as he runs around the globe. Being able to turn it off would also be very important though, haha...

I looked this morning and the add-on was free...

@ klinediscream: just FYI, alot of gamestop's "exclusive" (along with other stores) is only free and exclusive for a limited time before it becomes available for a price. So don't over react so much, keep your preorder if you want otherwise you already spent $2, I don't see sony going out of their way to reimburse you.

shadowkast is correct in that they probably won't reimburse. It sucks that you already spent the 2$ on something you would have gotten for free. But there is no one you can blame for jumping the gun on this whole thing.

Also I just checked and the gamestop site says that you need to enter reservation information in a site and then the code will be emailed to you...
