What's in the PS Store (5/31/16): Neon Chrome, Oxenfree, Primal, There Came an Echo, Plague Inc, & More!

Yes! Getting the DCUO beta for sure. And holy cow, Sam & Max Devils Playhouse 1-5 is free?? Hm, maybe I'll even get Crash Team since it's free too.

Might get Um Jammer Lammy and X-Men. I also want PoP: Sands of Time HD. Not sure if I should bite the bullet now or keep waiting for a sale. I'm trying to do the latter.
I keep getting error messages trying to download Sam and Max.
Sony is aware of the issue and they are working to fix it.

Just a heads up on the international PS Store scene.

In the JPN store they have movies for Catherine and the new Ape Escape game (Furi Furi Saru Getchu) 2 new game diggins are out, a trailer for a game called Binary Domain. And both Parasite Eve games are available to D/L.

In the HK store they are running a sale in a few days, so if you have any store credit like I do, it might be a good time to use it up. Also they are running a promotion with Crazy Taxi if you find the three secret codes in the crazy taxi banners, and send a message to them via the PSN, they'll send you a code for a Crazy Taxi theme for free as well as put you into a drawing for $100HK credit in the store.
Nothing worthwhile for PS+ again. Guess it's redundant to even say it at this point...
Stupid doo doo dumb.
I have been with ps+ for about a month and a half and have already got my money's worth out of it. 5 psx imports for my psp half off, 2 free psx games, a couple of minis that are good, 3 free core episodes, 15 bucks off a two year warranty, free dynamic themes, free avatars, 2 free psn games, and now all this new stuff that came out today. I know plus could be better but still, its funny to see people ripping on it. Its not the best but its far from terrible. I want the marvel arcade game and maybe the pinball but if i just wait i can probably get 2 for the price of one.
I finally bit on the Prince of Persia PS3 trilogy. $40, shipped, for a disc instead of $45 plus tax for digital content is fine by me.
From where, may I ask?

Joke post? Sam and max released a few weeks back and was $35, and now it's free for plus members. Not to mention crash team racing as well.
Is there a code or something? It's over $50 USD shipped with that link.
That is the only import site I know where you can get it from. I guess you can wait till the dollar gets better in hopes to get it cheaper.

I can get it from game.co.uk as well. It's a bit cheaper over there, but still a little more than the price of all the DLC at full price + tax.
You can get it there, I saved the link when somebody mentioned it in another post.

EDIT: Anybody pick up X-Men, how is the online in the game?
I picked up X-Men and there was occasional lag and even a couple of momentary freezes. Also the controls aren't as tight as I (falsely?) remember. IMO, X-Men is only worthwhile for big fans of X-Men or Marvel (such as myself), otherwise you won't be able to look past the flaws.

Yeah it hasn't aged well and is very repetitive (like all brawlers) but due to it's limited move set and abilities it isn't as fun as it could be (unlike say The Punisher or Aliens vs. Predator, those would be prime choices for PSN)

I use Wolverine mostly and end up spamming his super attack mostly, die and continue to do that, because his razor sharp claws don't cut squat, hehe.

It's fun, but only in small doses.

Fook. I'm so annoyed that Amazon UK will sell me Blu Rays but not PS3 games.

ubisoft sells all kinds of random shit--wish they had the cajones to sell PoP HD Trilogy outside of EU.

Not interesting to me. Glad you are happy though!

EDIT: I checked Sam & Max out in more detail. Still not so much my kind of game, but it is a great deal for PS+ members so yeah I can see what you mean.

$35 worth of software for the price of admission (let's be honest, since you pay into Plus, it is *not* free) is quite nice, irrespective of whether or not you want the content.

Beats the hell out of whatever $3 'mini' they're giving you each time.

I will agree with this. I was not interested in this that much, but its a hell of an offering for plus. If Sony pulls off one or two big more things like that it justifies the price of plus(finally).

I prefer digital content myself, but 40 shipped is a good deal for those that prefer a physical copy of the game(s).

Plus, on PSN, with gamesharing, you can get it for 9 bucks a person.
I'll probably get the disc of Splinter Cell trilogy if they go all digital in the US, too.
Weren't the PS2 versions of the Splinter Cell games much worse than the Xbox versions?

So, I guess this is where we discuss Playstation Plus issues now, then? There used to be another thread for it and I just recently noticed I wasn't seeing it any more in my subbed threads. Without seeing it, I almost forgot to check for PS+ stuff the last few months. It was a complete surprise when I saw Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves show up there the other day - I didn't even know it existed let alone that it was free for PS+. That was awesome. Throw in Shatter from the month before, and the Sam & Max stuff now and PS+ has all of a sudden gotten very good to me after disappointing me for a while there.

Would anyone suggest buying the Mag DLC at half off? I just got the game cheap from Amazon over BF and wasn't sure if I'd ever play it but my son might. Is the DLC pretty critical for it? Like, if you don't have it you never get in games and such?

If you want the complete MAG experience...go for it. It's $2.50...

I'm really tempted to get the Marvel Pinball for $9.99 but is there a chance it could go on sale in a month or something?

It has to do with deals the retailers cut with the big 3, and their agreements not to sell outside of the EU.

Best bet is to find some retailer on Ebay and have them ship it to you in a good buy it now price. I did it with Disaster Day of Crisis for Wii, and a few other EU only games over the years.

Hmm I am really tempted to get a 3 month PS+ card now that Sam and Max are there. This way I can get that PS3 Replacement Plan for cheaper. Anyone know if the discounted MAG DLC is PS+ only or is it for anyone? Getting MAG either tonight or tomorrow and probably going to get the DLC.

I doubt it... content like that at least has to be three months old to drop.

I'm contemplating getting a PSN+ account, but I'm 50/50 on it honestly...

Ok , probably stupid question , but with Sam and Max season 3 , is it recommended or essential to have played seasons 1 and 2 to enjoy or understand season 3 or is each season pretty much completely stand alone?

I asked this in another topic and people said you can play Season 3 without playing 1 or 2 but you will miss out on some references. If you want to play S1 and 2 soon then keep an eye out at the steam sale that starts in the next few days. Last year I got the entire tell tale collection which included S&M, Monkey Island, Wallace and Grommit, Strong Bad and more for like $50.

They've had the games cheaper than that on their website (telltalegames.com) this month during the 25 Days of Telltale sale.

Some pretty good deals on the HK store for the Christmas sale. I picked up Patchwork Heroes (PSP US version) for $5, they also had Rockman 9, TMNT Turtles in Time and a few others for around that price point.

They also had a Christmas theme for free, (haven't checked it out yet) and that's all I can remember at the moment.

In the UK store they had lots of free wallpapers for this darts game coming out. Two free Prince of Persia themes and some new videos for Resistance 3, Deus Ex 3, Echochrome 2 and a Yakuza 4 story trailer.

There's more in both stores that's just all that stood out to me at the moment.

Does it still tie to your main account as far as ownership and achievements when you buy from the foreign stores?
Does it still tie to your main account as far as ownership and achievements when you buy from the foreign stores?
Umm, no, not that I've seen, I use my US account as my main one, and I can access any of the content I've gotten from different stores, any trophies I've gotten go to whatever account you play the game on. (I accidentally screwed up and played Gunstar Heroes on my UK account and had to reply to get them on my US account, which wasn't a big deal since I love that game)

But if I answered your questions correctly (which I hope I did) The PSN and PS1 classics I've bought are playable on any account no matter which one I bought them on.

If you mean does my US account "own" the content from the others, the answer is no, I have to log into each separate one if I want to D/L any games I bought from the other stores, but as I said I can play on any of them regardless of where they were bought. I hope that made some sense. ;)

PSone Classic

Front Mission 3
Wow!!! I'm shocked....speechless almost. That means there's a possibility that one day Einhander and Vagrant Story might yet one day release on PSN. I still want to get the JPN Einhander one of these days for the expanded gallery in the game (contains content cut out of the US version)

This was my first Front Mission game and I spent over 200 hours just playing through both scenerios, an awesome game.
Really hoping. They give plus members a discount on those snk titles. I'll buy a few if the price is right.
Yeah right now $10 is a bit high considering the PS2 collections by and in large can be had for around $15 mostly.

I'd be willing to plunk some green down for Garou: MotW, but that looks to be a long ways off before they get around to releasing it. Would love to see Blazing Star someday as well, awesome Shmup.
Too bad that the game can be found for under $20 so easily now. It drives me nuts they sell the DD copies of games for $30 that you can find at $20 or less easily.
agreed ive been hoping for a price drop on burnout paradise but like many full games they sell the price is way too high considering you can get the physical copy for way cheaper.

Then buy the cheaper disc version or play the free trial if you're so concerned about price.
