What's in the PS Store (5/31/16): Neon Chrome, Oxenfree, Primal, There Came an Echo, Plague Inc, & More!

Looks like they are making up for the last 2 weeks of plus which were probably the worst I have seen yet.(signed up october 31st) I can't believe it but i might actually spend some money on two more avatar bundles, got the mega man one last week and love it.

This week's The Drop:
PlayStation Network

Stacking — Set in a diorama world, Stacking is a third person adventure puzzle game where you play as Charlie Blackmore, the world tiniest Russian stacking doll. He is all too accustomed to being overlooked and dismissed–too small to be of any consequence. But Charlie’s size turns out to be his greatest strength after all. Explodemon — Explodemon! is a 2.5D action platform game with an explosive main character. Mixing classic platforming action with the refined contemporary gameplay of more modern action games, it brings old-school gameplay bang up to date. Read More: The Epic Story Behind Explodemon, Hitting PSN on February 8th

Tales From Space: About A Blob — Tales from Space: About a Blob is a game about a race of alien blobs that land on an Earth-like planet and start eating everything around them. Eating is just what Blobs do — they can’t really help themselves. Although the Blobs aren’t really out to hurt anyone, mistrustful humans greet them with hostility. Players will interact with the game environment using unique growth and absorption-related control mechanics, experiencing the world at vastly different scales as they progress. Both single-player and co-op play will be supported. Read More: Coming to PSN: Tales from Space: About a Blob for PS3

Pocket Fighter — Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix plays up the fan frenzy for Capcom’s best-loved characters in the fighting franchise with miniature versions of popular Capcom fighters engaged in fierce battles. Combatants vie to collect power-up gems as they perform an array of special attacks and powerful combos.

Reel Fishing II — The great outdoors serve as the perfect backdrop for such realistic fishing fare. This installment of the popular angling series puts its emphasis on a wider variety of fish and lures, improved graphics, and options galore.

Harvest Moon: Back to Nature — In Harvest Moon: Back to Nature, you have just inherited your grandfather’s farm. Unfortunately, it has not been well cared for. The mayor has given you three years to restore the farm and gain the esteem of the local citizens.
Is Droplitz worth $5? I might grab it before the sale is up but I'm not sure.
Pretty split audience on it. It went on sale for like $1 or $2 on steam recently and the response was mostly meh but a few people really loved it. Think Tanuki may really like it.

On a seperate note its a testament to Plants vs Zombies quality that I own it on PC already as well as a boxed lawn copy....yet I still want to buy the PS3 one and will when it goes on sale.

If they're only basing it off of the PC version, then I can see why they didn't like it. That version is mouse-only and doesn't really work right for a mouse, but is a lot of fun on consoles.

Super Glad we r getting pocket fighter avatars but isn't there more than just 6? Or does that 6 mean something else ?

By the way anyone have the athf dynamic theme ? How is it, does it have sound, how many backgrounds ? I can't find a video of it

tempted to go Playstation Plus... mainly due to Stacked...

Nice to know. I'm still not buying it out of protest - for the previous releases DRM, and for the fact that the game was supposedly ripped straight from some iOS release.

At the very least i'll wait for some reviews.

I thought it was published by capcom in america... I may be going crazy.

err correction- i read that story totally backwards. Explodemon! is the original, and Capcom recently published an iPhone game that rips it off. That makes more sense.
Capcom ripped off 'Splosion Man, which Explodemon is similar to despite being announced within days of each other.
*sigh* it's been a long day, frisky. Thanks for sorting out all the exploding video games for me. :)

yeah, I have no complaints though. I think if I like stacked alot based off the demo I'll jump into plus seeing over a year of stuff for $50 is good. plus I have $32 sitting in my account that can be used
Just make sure it's not the top game on your list. It's loud.
Reminds me of the Castlevania and the one Dead Space demo (the minigame one) those were freakin' speaker destroyingly loud (GoW3 had a loud "intro" as well) Wish when they did demos they'd either put nice music like the Catherine demo or something more soothing like Topatoi (I kept the demo because I liked the music, even though the game blows)

Will be checking out Stacking, and a few other things otherwise this is a pretty ho-hum week for me, no worries got other stuff to clog my bandwith up in the meantime.

Thanks for the update Frisky, much appreciated as always. ;)

This. It's "scramble for the remote control" loud. I got this when i first got my PS3 about 3 years ago and still play it regularly.

Also- anyone not familiar with it should note that this is an enhanced port based on the Dreamcast version - so it includes the retooled game mode, the original, and 2 completely different game modes.

Y - this plays like columns kind of, no big gems and your going for rows of 3+, lots of chaining.

Z - this plays like Puzzle League / Tetris Attack, but you have a 2x2 grid to spin items (instead of 1x2). I spent a ton of time in this mode.

A look into the future from Amazon?

Okay. I'd pick up that puzzle fighter for $5. I dont want the :ps3: to store my cc information though. I need some sort of control over impulse spending. I still want that marvel pinball game too.

Destrega? Wow, what a random game to put up on the PSN. IIRC, it was a one on one fighting game with one button projectile attacks, right?

you can delete it out in the account setup.

Does anyone know what's up with the MvC2 + some other Capcom PSOne game deal on the Japanese PSN store?

There's an ad that almost seems to indicate that if you buy MvC2 for 750 yen, and one of the recently released Capcom fighting games, you get *something* else but I have no idea what and recent googles haven't really helped.

Catherine demo was pulled from the JPN store. Not for bugs or content, the publishers hit a limit and didn't want to keep paying for the bandwidth for demo downloads.
All the more reason to get that stuff attached to your account ASAP so you always have access to it.
true that!!! I learned that after they took down the free costume from dead space 1. If it's free, and I have the intention of getting the game at some point, I will make sure it's in my history:applause:

Still mad about that one, I missed it as it was when I didn't have access to the PSN for the better part of a year and missed out on some pretty nice deals and such.

Agreed, and it's not just Atlus who does that Sega took down Resonance of Fate, Bayonetta, and there's been other game demos removed that I can't think of at the moment. They are usually up longer for a little more than a week, but man they sure are pulling them fast these days.

Hey a quick shout out to everyone who checks this thread out, to go over and show your support for Frisky at the CAG community award thread. http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=286703

If Redjoey can get props for the XBLA thread, it would be a shame for Frisky to not get the same respect back from us PS3 fans, especially since he keeps this thread updated with upcoming news in addition to the weekly update.

So, go vote, now. ;)

I noticed the villain nod, which I can only guess from his post history is from the NGP thread from a few weeks ago where I disagreed with his predictions. That thread confused me when looking through it with all of the people that nominated FT.

Yeah I didn't think you deserved that at all, just somebody with a stupid grudge.

And Fire Thief, well he just deserved it, he's been on my $#!% list for way too long, glad he got banned, there are a few other folks but others that have earned my ire (and other folks) and rightfully so, we're here to share common interests and get along as politely as possible, but some people just like to pee in the punch as it were, and as I said they are the ones who ruffle most peoples feathers and not just mine. (The two that come to mind are prominently mentioned in that other thread, I just don't want to stir anything up with them...again , so I'll keep my big mouth shut)

Or in FT's case being a annoying little jerk didn't help him any, even if he tried to turn a new leaf, but in any regard that isn't the kind of person we need here at CAG.

On OT news, I'm glad to see Pixeljunk Shooter 2 coming out soon, really loved the first one, I'll check the link, but any idea on pricing?

And I grabbed Explodemon, since it looked cool, loud XMB music though :cold:, looking forward to playing it later tonight.
