Hi everyone,

As you know, the Welcome Back Program is well underway and we hope you’ve already taken the time to get your two free games, but if you’re yearning for even more content, well – yearn no longer. Today we’re announcing all of the content coming to PlayStation Plus in two publishes on June 14 and 21.

As a reminder, PlayStation Plus works on a bi-weekly publish schedule, with the free games (PS3, PS one, and two PS minis) coming once a month to Plus. The next set of free games start on July 5, and will be announced in a June 22 post.

We also want to provide an update on the Sega Genesis Collection offers which we announced back in March. Due to the attack and subsequent outage the release schedule has changed for these. Take a look at the new schedule and be sure to take advantage of the free offers:

Free Games and DLC

As mentioned above, Streets of Rage 2 becomes available for free on the 14th as a part of the Sega Genesis Collection.
Huge Discounts

Launching tomorrow, June 9, look out for the new PlayStation Plus Welcome Back Special Offers category within the Plus page. This category will contain extra deals beyond our typical content offerings, so check often because new deals will be rotating in and out weekly through July 5. Any impressions on Fancy Pants Adventures or Undersiege? Also I am confused about Magic the Gathering. I downloaded it free yesterday under my Playstation Plus tab, yet here in the thread its listed as $7 or $8. Did I simply download a demo or is it actually free or what?

Magic the Gathering 2011 is free at the moment. Next week though, Magic the Gathering 2012 which is a sequel is being released and is $8 for PS+ users.

It has 10 decks (Haven't heard if they are all new, but assume they are) as well as a new mode where 3 people co-op take on a "boss" battle. All I have heard of that is new.

That's what I thought. I thought 2012 would be an add-on, but apparently it's a new game entirely.

I am in the same boat, especially since the steam version of 2011 kept crashing on me and a lot of people said online was broke.

What's being done with co-op in 2012 is interesting as is the ability to remove cards from your decks rather than just adding in the unlocked ones but there really isn't anything significant in 2012 which justifies charging the base price again.

Once again the game and price will be padded out with dicey DLC and probably those ridiculous foil cards to boot. The way that content for the original game has magically disappeared from the Steam store is fishy and really most of this could have and should have been done with free patches.

What nearly everyone wants from this line of the Magic games is full deckbuilding and customization and it appears that they are completely unwilling to provide that.

They wont allow us to full on customization because they don't want to lose sales from MTG online.

If this game has a crapload of cards from MTG 2012 I will buy it. As a MTG player myself it will give me some deck building ideas and it's $8, whatever. MTG 2012 isn't even released yet in card form, and well if I can grab this to get an early sneak peek of the set, I might.
 
Is Plants vs. Zombies now $10, or is it a temporary thing? It thought it said it was a temporary sale, but now I go to its PSN page and it says nothing about a sale, but it's still $9.99.

If it's going to be that price or on sale for a while I was going to order a $10 GC from BB, but I don't want it to go up in price before I get it.

I put temporary sale because there's no date specified, so it could be done next week or in six months. So if you really want it, shouldn't hesistate for too long.

Damn, I'm filling up my already swapped out hard drive with all these PS3 releases. In the past week I've gotten...

Infamous
Assassin's Creed 2
Little Big Planet

and I'm seriously tempted by Rainbow Six Vegas 2 although thanks to (I think) some Target clearance years ago, I still have a sealed 360 copy sitting at home.

$10 or free is really impossible to pass up.
 
So I know if I take the free Playstation Plus for a month, and get a freebie game with it, I lose that game if I drop PS+.

What about the games that are cheaper for PS+ subscribers? If, for example, I were to buy Deathspank and/or Tumble at the PS+ price, then drop the subscription, do I get to keep those games without being charged extra?
 
I downloaded the free Lilo & Stich game for my wife and she spent about 3 hours playing it yesterday. She also vowed to beat it today before I got home from work.
 
Anyone else having trouble getting the El Shaddai Demo? I tried twice now and every time it downloads I get corrupted data when I try to install it.

First time it ever happened to me before.

Also ended up buying Deathspank. Looks fun and for half off, can't complain.

So this week I eneded up buying Deathspank, Shank and Assassin's Creed 2 all for 50% off. I would like to thank Sony for that.

Is anyone else having store problems, specifically changing your password? I updated mediago today and I cannot change my password anymore. The site has been "down for maintenance" for hours...

I dl'd and installed el shaddai fine last week. though found myself wanting to like the demo more than actually enjoying it

Themes and avatars are yours to keep since there's no way for that kind of stuff to expire. I'm not 100% sure about DLC, but I believe it does since the DLC I've downloaded were listed amongst the games when they were recently pushed to the top of my download list with the recent extension due to the downtime.

They made a mistake and priced it at 75% off of $9.99 when it's $14.99 by default, so 75% off is $3.75.
 
anybody know if the american mcgee's alice download can be played without the disc. i just want to download it but i dont want to if i need the new game to play it.

It's an add-on, so it requires the full game to use it. It's the online pass reward for buying Madness Returns new.

If you'd like to play it early the demo is up on the UK store, based on that I'd say we will get it in the next week or two. (Since they got Outland 2 weeks before we did.)
 
It's nuts that the add-on for the new Alice game is more likely what will push me to buying the game once it hits ~30. I had a then-three year old computer in 2000 and it couldn't hang with cutting edge games.
