Whats in the PS Store Thread: Sega Superstars Tennis and Condemned 2 demos up now!

I'll have to check out the PSN store with my dandy new DS3 (ceramic white). After considering tax, I got it two months early and perhaps $1 cheaper. Huzzah.

Also, playstation's blog confirmed PSP fl0w will be available tomorrow. Looks like it may be a good day, to compensate for all that hippie shit on Rock Band. ;)

PS3 and PSP versions are up in fact as mentioned, I'm gonna try both.

Here's some controls someone posted:

Hold L1 = activates motion sensor.
Press Triangle = goes into "thinking mode" (puppet stops but u can still spin perspective)
Hold X = puppet walks faster
Square = something I dont remember anymore

Hehe, don't know about square either.
I'm gonna get it now.

Yo myke, I got the white DS3 a few weeks ago.
Wasn't taking it out of the Japanese packaging the easiest thing ever as opposed to the cut your hands American stuff.
You'll love the controller, I do.
Echochrome demo is up on the JPSN right now.
Just played it (PS3 version). Pretty sure its the same demo they had at TGS.
It's got English, for those who are interested in checking it out.

Better control list: (thanks TTP)

Left or Right Stick: Spins perspective
Hold R1: Spins perspective faster
Hold L1 : Activates motion sensor to spin perspective instead of the left or right stick (NOT RECOMMENDED)
Press Triangle: Goes into "thinking mode" (puppet stops but u can still spin perspective)
Hold X: Puppet walks faster
Square: "Snap" (kinda makes a clean line when you're trying to put pieces together)
Select: Toggles timer / control instructions
Start: Pause (can't control perspective)

I was...occupied and holding the package, and thought to myself "oh, crapola. The scissors are in another room." Lo and behold, who needs 'em?

Those are the perks of living in a country with very low crime rates. On the other hand, I was grocery shopping in Kroger the other day while a clerk was talking with a manager about someone being caught shoplifting fuckin' produce or somethin'.

Oh yes...now, to dl Echochrome!

Remember, Echochrome in the JPN store.
You buy it within the demo.
That's strange. No other game in the store requires you to download the demo first.

I'm surprised there's no MLB 2K8 demo since that went up on XBL yesterday.
That's strange. No other game in the store requires you to download the demo first.
Isn't snakeball like that too?

i don't see how they are going to charge so much for echochrome. i was pretty hyped about it, but after playing the demo, it just doesn't seem that they are justified charging more than 10 for this. Granted, there could be a lot more to it, but it's so simple and there really isn't all that much there to add to the concept besides more puzzles.

SWEET.... Grateful Dead for Rock Band. It's about damn time they got some sweet classic rock! Now they need to come out with some Doors or Floyd, No more crap! I wish they didn't charge so much for the songs though, I think $2 is a $1 to much, maybe I am just cheap!

Over in Japan, it'll be 1800 yen ($17) for the PS3 version. Comes with Solo play (not sure about number of levels), a level editor, and some kind of PSN feature (guessing scoreboard).

I don't see how this is any different than n+ on the xbox. N+ is $10 (800 points) includes a level editor, leaderboard, about 250 levels (50 episodes), and adds multiplayer. For me, any more than 10 and i'm probably going to pass on echochrome.

Just letting you know what content they are getting over there since you didn't seem to know.

Remember prices vary from region to region so you might see it offered for $9.99 here anyway.

Rocketmen reminds me of Loaded, except the character moves like molasses and the camera even slower.

Yawn. Nice to see PSN getting XBLA games, though. There are some gems on the XBLM, and if I have the option to purchase them without all the "you must be signed onto Live because your console is a hunk of shit and died" DRM, then great.

BTW, I played Loaded for a few minutes a year or so ago. It has not, IMO, aged very well. Same goes for Project Overkill.

I kinda felt that way about PJM; anytime there's a DLC game that isn't "left analog move, right analog shoot," I immediately want to buy it just for precedent. Not that those are all bad games, but it's a bit like storebought software this gen; everything's a goddamned FPS.

Hehe, you're right myke. And the upcoming Elefunk actually looks worth playing, hope there's a demo.....
Did you buy PJM though? I remember you complaining about the price. ;)
I downloaded Echochrome and it says something about the copyright being invalid and won't let me play it.
PSP version? You have to use the account you downloaded it with to put it on your PSP.

I wish I didn't have to pay for FLOW again if I wanted to play it on PSP. They should allow the game to be played on both.

Once again, another lackluster US update.

Yeah I also didnt like the update for the US store. I tried thar rocketman game or whatever, very dissapointed in it. hopefully next week we get something really good..

I was wishing the same, or at least a discount.

It's nice to see a PSP theme up in the PS3 store since I'm too lazy to go through the process of getting them from the PC Store.

Yeah, I'll be grabbing the Wipeout Pulse demo, but what is UP with these asstastic updates? No PS1 games, hardly any content .... thank God R6:Vegas 2 and MGS:Essential Collection come out next week so I have something to look forward to.

I've gotten into the mindset that Thursday is just Thursday. If there happens to be something worthwhile in the PS Store, that's a nice bonus.

Hey, Wipeout Pulse demo.
Awesome Toy Home Add-On content. Definitely a buy for me (adds stuff which is much needed).
Look at the price for it as well as the size of the file you'll be downloading, and just be aware of the terrible, terrible precedent you'll be contributing to.

I'm looking forward to getting back into town and downloading the Free GHIII DLC (even if it is from that paint-by-numbers oi! band) and looking into 99-cent Rock Band DLC.
