Additionally, the classic PlayStation titles, Hot Shots Golf 2 and CoolBoarders, will be available for play on PS3, in addition to PSP (PlayStation Portable) system, with today’s update. A trailer for the upcoming comedy, The Heartbreak Kid, will also be offered.

Below are the details of these exciting new offerings:

MotorStorm Time Attack (free): See if you’ve got what it takes to set the pace by downloading the new MotorStorm Time Attack mode. Race against the clock to set the best possible lap times on each of the tracks, then check out the global leader boards to see how fast you really are. Create and share ghost car laps that you can race with to improve your skill, or show off your technique to the world.

Hot Shots Golf 2 ($5.99*): Put on some plaid pants and head out to the course in Hot Shots Golf 2.

CoolBoarders ($5.99*): CoolBoarders presents a most awesome and excellent challenge: to out-shred the best boarders on the pro circuit.
Haven't we had Hot Shots Golf 2 and Coolboarders for months now?
Yep... but not playable on the PS3 up until now.
Let's hope the grip shift update will fix the occasional framerate glitch while turning. There's no reason why the PS3 can't handle it.
it should if it fixes the load times.

I'll be grabbing Hot Shots now that I can play it on both the PS3 and PSP.

I love that series. Between this and NES Open on the Wii, I'm set on golf games for a while.
anyone how big the download is for Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection?
Think it's like 500-600 MB.

I'll see you when the online update is launched.

Word. I download the game this morning. Definitely will be getting the online update whenever it is announced.
New week which means, once again it's time for me to get my hopes up for the LAIR demo
They said June, but I wouldn't be surprised if they held it until E3 in order to make a big deal of the demo release
I hope we get it because I'm dying here in PS3 drought land.
as long as I have Tekken and CAC (and oh yeah, too many PS2 games) there'll never be a drought :)
I hope we get it because I'm dying here in PS3 drought land.
I know what you mean. I've mainly been playing PS2 games on it aside from the occasional session of
Sonic

Still, it might have something to do with me having waay too many PS2 games I have yet to touch :p

I'll be grabbing The Darkness tomorrow though...and looks like, after months of delays R6 Vegas is making it's way to the PS3 this week. Of course I'm going to wait for reviews on that to see how it is on the PS3.

Other than the occasional PYS4 game, my PS3 has been resigned to Folding and Blu-Ray playing. Which I'm ok with. I'm sure I'll have a few more games within the next few months.... until then, I need to keep working through my backlog.

I should know this by now, but what time do they usually update?

Super Stardust is supposed to be up today :)

The resistance update is rumored to be coming out tomorrow for whatever reason.

I'll probably be picking up Super Stardust as well though, it looks pretty cool.

I can't figure out why Japan is getting so many more PSOne titles than we are.

That's more titles in one week than we have altogether. If Sony would update their titles the way Nintendo updates the VC, then people would have far less reason to complain about the PS3. They have the price structure in place that should embarrass the Wii, but they don't have the framework, and the titles have not been updated since the first week they came out.

Give us 1-2 PSX titles per week, and people will come to the PS3. PSN is starting to look like XBLA under Greg Canessa.

Freakin' goldmine Sony is sitting on.

I WILL BUY YOUR PSX GAMES SONY! GIVE ME A CHANCE!

Don't know where I can buy PSN cards either, but they work just fine.

agreed. the few high quality titles that are on there are pacifiying me more than XBL's offerings, but it is pathetic.

word is that they're doing a complete overhaul to the store...maybe they're waiting for that. or something.
No Lair demo in June. Thanks for nothing, fuckers.
Yeah, it sucks. Instead of LAIR we get a demo for a most likely mediocre gundam hack n slash game. They are probably waiting til after E3 like someone else said.
No Lair demo in June. Thanks for nothing, fuckers.
Screw Lair, I rather have DW Gundam any day, especially since I love Gundam and DW. Lair might not be too good anyway, because whenever SCE is very quiet about a game, that's not good (and they've been very quiet about Lair for a while). I hope Lair turns out good, but when SCE is quiet, that's usually a bad sign.

I'll say it again and again and again - where and when was the Lair demo ever confirmed for June?

I'm asking seriously because I must have missed it.

Really nice to see they got the GTAIV trailer up so fast.

Some official said so. Can't remember where.
