Why doesn't Sony get the 3rd part demos that the 360 gets? What is the reason behind this? Like All Pro 2K8, NCAA 08, Nascar 08...etc. I need something to hold me over until my 360 gets back from the shop.
Because it's not the same platform.

Maybe, they don't think there are enough PSN users to justify taking the time to make a demo for it.
All-Pro's demo supposed to be coming soon.
Right. I heard next week, even prior to the annoucement that Heavenly Sword was hitting this week.

They were announced at the same time.
I'm guessing it started on 360 kits because they had started on it since early 05, possibly late 04.

Odd then that the PS3 version has a bit more detail. I was under the impression it's harder to port from 360 to PS3 as opposed to the other way around.

The PS3 trailer looks sharper and the 360 version looks smoother-- seems to be the trend for this gen.

but it's probably just the encoding. chances are those vids are from the same build.

edit: I'm starting to feel like a 360 fan before XBL management changed-- getting super excited over the one bone they throw us. Sony really needs to step it up.

The demo is now up on the European store. It's 996mb.

2 BR movie trailers
RE5 trailer
HS demo
Haze Trailer
AC trailer
Medievil Crash 2
Spyro 2

All EU.
Just started downloading it via Remote play along with a trailer for Haze and RE5.
This is living.
No PSOne games for download at this point though.
 No shit. This *is* the US PSN Store we're talking about.

So, with remote play, I could have started downloading the demo from my office, if I had brought my PSP with me?

In the future, some games will be playable from the PSP. (that sony cat game/demo has this feature)

Yep. Remote Play connected to my PS3, downloading via the store. 13% done as we speak.

awesome. awesome to the max.

started downloading. time to go take a test :bomb: then play heavenly sword :bouncy: then go to work :bomb: then play more heavenly sword :bouncy: then do late night laundry :bomb: then pass judgment on heavenly sword :)

I'm starting to get pissed at the lack of PS1 games though. this is on par with the craptacularness that was XBL in the year 2006....except the PSN originals are better.

Dokodemo Issho? Or something on the US Store?

I haven't even begun to explore my PS3 using remote play yet. I'd love to come home this afternoon to a warm and freshly downloaded Heavenly Sword demo.

But you know what I'm talking about.

I've seen that thing on the JPN store, but I haven't had any interest in looking at because I would probably be completely overwhelmed by the Kanji/Katakana.

Yeah. I just started messing around with learning some Kanji earlier this year, so I would not be ready for anything like this.
Metal Gear Solid 4 Demonstration video is up now as well on the US store. 640MB.
Thank god, was hoping for this.
Is the RE5 trailer the extended one that XBL got today?
Yes, but better quality. So if you like better quality...

Good points. The Sony reps on the official forums and blogs and such seem pretty open to suggestions, so let them know. I plan to write them fairly soon myself because it is pathetic.

Great points Myke. They could at least have all the major Sony PS1 games up (I.E. Twisted Metal)

The pricing + psp playing makes the PS1 games so great...now only if sony would put them out.

I'm not seeing the E3 press conference up there, but everything else is spot on. There's also 2 movie trailers, 30 Days of Night and August Rush.

The whole time I was watching the Haze video for the first time, I couldn't get past the graphics. I have no doubt that none of it was in-game, though, so... yeah...

Heavenly Sword demo is all of 5 mins long. Boo-urns.

The EU store has a gameplay video of Haze I believe.

Speaking of which, Japan has Twisted Metal (EX? What's that?).

I would be happy with 1 game a week, but even that seems to be too much for Sony. I'm livid that JPN has Wild Arms and we don't. Then again, maybe I already have that game deep, deep in my basement. I shall go see!

Dallow. You missed two things. There are two Heavenly Sword wallpaper in the PS Store and they're free! I hope they release a lot of these in the coming weeks.

Edit: I see that you've just noticed it.

found it, thanks...
gonna have to make an EU account to try to grab that later...
