Whats your favorite movie ever?

Favorite american film would either be Memento or Face/Off.

Anime: Macross Plus: The Movie or Grave of the Fireflies.

Hk: Hard Boiled or My Father is a Hero.

Lord of the Rings Trilogy is the best thing ever put on celluloid. The Godfather is the best single, autonomous movie ever made. This is not my opinion - this is a fact.

I don't know about FAVORITE MOVIE EVER, but some good ones?
Dead or Alive
Dead Alive
All Diehards
Big Trouble in little China
Escape from Newyork
Ghostbusters 1 and 2
Running man
Most Mel Brooks
Most monty Python
Ichi the Killer
Big Fish
Oh Brother Where Art Thou

Will post more later

i'd have to say Jackass the movie is pretty high on my list lol

also the matrix series and LOTR trilogy

My all-time favorite has to be....

Drunken Master - with Jackie Chan

Absolutely the best Martial Art's flick period. Great action and great comedy. Much better than the sequel "Legend of Drunken Master' (which is good in its own right).

Second would be Star Trek: First Contact. Awesome film. Assimilate this!!

Third would be Tuck Everlasting. Not the one that came out recently. The one that came out in the early 80's. That was a great film IMO.

Swingers.

Trent: "You're like a big BEAR, man - with these teeth and these claws and with this, you don't know how to kill the bunny man. YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO KILL THE BUNNY!!!"

Sue: "You're like a big BEAR, man...!"

For me it would have to be a tie between Animal House, Swingers and Dazed and Confused.
Usual Suspects is also a great movie - probably the best of its genre in my book.
Also need to give a shout out to Ronin, the Professional and Ghost Dog.

"The cook, the thief, his wife and her lover" is my all time favorite. Others near the top of my list include;
Kiss me deadly
Apocalypse now
Mulholland drive
Bad lieutenant
Naked
Drugstore cowboy
& Crash
As my avatar suggests: Rushmore.
props to you bra. dope film

has to be one of the following:

yojimbo
dead man
rushmore
bottle rocket

Road to Perdition, Pulp Fiction, Amores Perros, Magnolia, Royal Tenenbaums, Good Bad and the Ugly, Once Upon a Time in the West, The Cooler, Miller's Crossing, Vanilla Sky

All are exceptional movies, check them out if you haven't seen any.

OH CRAP. I forgot one of my all-time favorites!!

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof with Paul Newman and Elizabeth Taylor.

Easily my favorite old-school movie.

Still doesn't beat Drunken Master though

Spaceballs!!!!!!!!

Also among my favorites is Fight Club, The Usual Suspects, Big Trouble in Little China, Raising Arizona, and The Princess Bride, among many others.

I've gotta say Cable Guy or Dumb and Dumber. To me, Cable Guy is one of the funniest damn movies ever. It has so much great Jim Carrey humor in it. I think I've watched that movie more than a hundred times.

(In no particular order)
Ghostbusters...
Childhood favorite, yet it still makes me laugh today.
Boondock Saints
The Empire Strikes Back
Pulp Fiction
Reservoir Dogs
Kill Bill
Clerks
MP&tHG
The Meaning of Life
Battle Royale (prefer the manga, but I still love the movie)
And of course

Bittersweet Motel

(there are plenty more, this is just what comes to mind)

Didn't read the rest of the thread, so I don't know if it's been mentioned but:

A Clockwork Orange

To everyone who said Fight Club (and I know there were alot of you), the movie is great, and the book is even better. Chuck Pahlaniuk is a genius. VERY few writers are consistently fresh with their writing, and Chuck is one of 'em.
