What's your goal in life?
I refuse to click your blog link :nottalking:
If that's your goal in life, so be it

The happy aspect that Moxio brought up is what I want to have in my profession (as well as more than decent money)...but settling with only one, I'd go with the sheer happiness over money anyday (unless I really start scrounging for money )

-To look good
-To at one point in life, get women
-To ( seriously) make good friends
-To hone my crafts
-To learn more about people ( i.e sociology, psychology, anthropology ) and philosoph
-To be happy

All those are under the blanket of " be happy", really.

To catch up on my backlog, to rid the world of fanfucks, and to join the ranks of esteemed CAGs such as JimmieMac as a "CAG Villain of the Year". I really plan to ramp that up in step with the Presidential campaign.

I have some goals that are infinitely more respectable and relevant to the 'real world', but those aren't important here.

EDIT: Oh, and to get my Ignore list up to triple digits! That one should be easy-peasy!
a job i dont hate, with a woman i dont hate and kids i love.

I'll be happy with that.
I second that. well all but the kids for now. Also add in friends that actually go and do things.

Superpowers. I would like to take this time to apologize for blowing up Guam in the future. It's nothing personal. I just really had to take a dump.

I would also like to be at a point where I have a career I don't resent and maybe like. That would be nice. I'd also like to have offspring to pass forward my great genes.

In the present, I'd settle for just having superpowers.

Not I, I'm a loner sorta guy, and despite the fact that I go out nearly every weekend, I rather sit around and have a few beers.

Nothing like snuggling up with a woman you love, drinking a few & shooting the shit. I miss that more than anything.

And I really want kids for some strange reason.

Well, I've already decided that there is no clear meaning to life, so you just have to try your best to enjoy the time that you have here in any way that suits you. Maximize the highs, minimize the lows.

To figure myself out and finally get somewhere in life. Those who have read my blog posts, are getting a few hints as to what I want to improve/change.

To have a happy and healthy life......and of course:

;)

my goal in life is to be able to do this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtFPmhfoh3g

but transitioning from bboying to popping... not easy... especially at my age when I still have plenty of room for improvement in what I do now.

this is my insurance goal... when I find myself bored at the age of 40 it'll give me something to do

My goal when I started college 3 years ago was to make enough money to support my mom, sis & stepdad. That may change if Obama's elected. My sis is chronically ill, and their group health plan expires in 11 months. This is a huge, huge, huge problem for my sis (and mom/stepdad supporting her) because her condition is pretty serious. In fact, on the 21st of this month she's having a $200,000 surgery -- unexpectedly, as the result of a previous surgery going a little awry.

If McCain's elected and he has his way with healthcare, and I'm not able to chip in an enormous amount financially, they're completely fucked. They will end up without coverage due to preexisting conditions, and my sister's life would be drastically shortened. Her medical bills are 100's of thousands a year, so it's unlikely I'd be able to give them as much as they need.

If Obama's elected and he has his way with healthcare, they'd have a shot. They wouldn't have to worry about having to deny her the medical treatment she needs, but I would still need to make enough to support myself and also contribute to them -- I'd just need to contribute a lot less. ~50k a year to them would probably be plenty.

The current goal is to make ~125k starting salary when I'm out of school in 6 years, then ~250k after a couple years of work experience. I can live on 25k and send the rest to them. If I can do that, I'd consider my life's goal accomplished.

Happiness.

I don't care about being rich or being super famous. As long as I have a few good friends and some money to feed my gaming addiction, I'll be more than alright.

A wise men once said happiness is being comfortable with what you have, and I'd say most of us in the great USA are capable of that. It's usually our own fault when we aren't happy.

I agree with this. Plus win the Nobel Prize.

That's incredible. Sorry to hear about the rough times with your sister right now but it is truly incredible how compassionate a human being can be like yourself while 95% of us (I feel) are just money hungry as well as self centered. For what it's worth, if I could vote this November I would vote Obama for what you said alone. ;) I wish you (and your family) the best.

That's true that everyone has the potential to be happy but it is alot harder to imagine that in a life we live in where judging and complaining about one another are as common as they are. Raking in alot of money might acquire some happiness but it won't last. Very good example geared to most people on this site: our backlog of games. When buying (even at a crazy good deal ) it's fun but going through them seems monotous the majority of the time.

Oh and nice video JEKKI. :bouncy:

My goals are...

To be out of debt and to never, ever be in it again.

To be self-employed.

I'm sure I'll have more, but those two are my primary goals.

Be happy and living my life with a husband who loves me and who I love very much. Not really much else other than maintaining my current standard of living, which is fairly modest for America, though very high compared to the world (like Africa, obviously). I don't ever, ever want any debt except maybe a house, but a house with a mortgage I'd pay off ASAP.

Kind of lame and sappy but that's about it. Notice that crotchfruit are not in the equation, though they may be if my hormones start to run my life.

1. Have a baby girl
2. Be wealthy (not rich rich, but well off)
3. Have a good job working with computers
4. Pass High School
5. Pass College
6. Have all the best video games
7. Get married to my Girlfriend
8. Get taller
9. Watch every Seinfeld Episode
10. Go to Japan

Top 10. Oh well, I listed more that I was suppose to, lol.

I really hope things work out for the best for you so you can get everything paid off. I honestly wish I had a lot of money to help out also (especially since I've known you for a while online).

Anyway, to better clear things up, my goals are:
1. Get a great job.
2. Move away at least 2 hours from home (the further the better, but I want to stay in the U.S.)
3. Get in a serious relationship, become engaged, and eventually get married.
4. Build/Buy an actual house
5. Have kids
6. Be happy with a loving family and good paying job
7. Have no debt (I don't care if I don't have a lot of money to spend, just don't want to be in debt).
8. Be in awesome shape
9. Go to a Chicago Bulls game, in Chicago.
10. Travel around to all major theme parks in the U.S.

To live forever; so far, I'm succeeding.

Just kidding. My goals mirror others, I want to be happy, find a good gal, maybe someday become a parent with a good kid, and to find a job where I don't want to destroy people at. I also want to change the world, one way or another and be remembered. And to pay back my parents for all the things they've done to help me through life.

Anyway, for serious. My short-term goals are to lose weight and get in shape (which I'm on track for, -31 pounds in the last three months) and graduate High School (Class of 2009 baby!!!)

Long-term? I really want to be a writer. Really, really bad.

Good luck, Koggit. What you will do is incredibly commendable. Good show, man.
