I'm surprised they as many enemies on screen as they did in that version.

I do think it's funny though that the trailer starts with RE4, and then it's basically like "you liked RE4? Well now there's this far worse game with the most original personality we could come up with: some big-nosed photographer named Frank."

lol @ intentionally not bypassing the censor.

If I can get my 360 hooked up sometime in the near future, I'll try that shit out. I'm glad it turned out. I haven't read the IGN review, but how much is there to do in this game? Like, coz it'll be frustrating if this is one of those TMNT-style affairs where people play it for the first day and delete it the next.

Who-hoo! Just calcuatled taxes stuff and I was WAY overpaying at the start here (being a pastor is considered self-employed by the IRS, so you have to set aside your own taxes and send them in quarterly). I mean way. Like, $300/mo way.

Mega Man 7? Not good. I appreciate the X franchise a lot more now.

Yeah, Mega Man 7 felt really off to me, as well. Mega Man 8 felt like a much better expression of what 7 was trying to do.

I know I'll probably get so much shit for this, but 8 was by far my favorite of the original Mega Man series.

X4 is the best MMX game. And the MMX series is awesome. Until X6+

Holy crap, add a wii game to my wanted list this year. Dead Rising looks great imo
only complaint is physics, but hey...can't have it all lol

I'll be trying the cc demo in a bit even though I know I'm going to love it. Just don't want to get burnt like I did with the strongbad game...terrible.

I don't think I could agree with you more than I do right now.

Really, you like 8 the best? Huh. I've not tried it yet, but every opinion I've heard is that it's the worst of the worst. I might just not finish 7 and move on to 8.

CC demo just downloaded!

Your not alone there man , MM8 is my favorite of the original megaman games too. I mentioned as much in the Wii VC thread last week when MM1 came out.

It's funny that with the original megaman series , the best games were like the first ones and the last one (2 , 3 , 6 and 8 for me) where with the X series the best ones were in the middle (3 , 4 and 5).

Best thing about MM7 was the ending sequence and theme. A pity that the ending sequence was cut from the Anniversary collection , but at least they kept the theme in.

Nah, man, no sane person could consider 8 to be the worst or anywhere near it. The graphics are great, the level designs are damn good and have a surprising amount of variety, the weapons are cool, there's the store where you can buy new parts for MM, and the voice acting is so bad it's good. It's perfection.

"I'm Search Man, okay?"

I still can't stand the game's style, but Castle Crashers' gameplay looks really solid. So I'll probably get that shit if I ever get my 360 hooked up.
Castle Crashers is why downloadable services should exist. Pure awesome.

GGT CC game sometime?
If my internet can behave then I'd be up for a game sometime. I'll probably be downloading CC later today.

Um, yeah, so the OTT's about to experience an apocalypse, so I'm a GGTer now!

First order of business: where's JEKKI ?!

Oh, and I will still be getting IU.

What would constitute an OTT apocalypse?

I'm thinking I won't be getting IU based on the IGN review's comments, but I could be swayed if enough other reviews claim the game is good. I'm sure a few years ago, I'd go out and buy the game anyway, but there's so much good shit out there that I just don't really wanna bother playing through a meh-ish RPG.

Wubb's stomping on our balls like they're grapes. :/

I still think IU is worth a shot. It started off looking terrible, but now it doesn't look so bad. I'll go for ToV first, then try out IU down the road. Plus I gotta save up for Fable II.

Hi, guys! JEKKI, where you at?
I'll be trying IU before I buy it. Being able to sign out games does come in handy.
Yeah, for employees.

I was buying FFXII a while back and the copy magically disappeared from the PS2 lockbox and appeared 20 minutes later when one of the employees came into work with the disc and said he was almost done with it. Even tried to push it on me as new.

I'm thinking about getting Tomb Raider Anniversary for the 360. Never really played a tomb raider game since I had a 64 instead of a playstation.

Whut up, visiting OTT'rs. :)

The IGN review of IU did highlight some potential issues I might not be able to get past in the game. I'll hold off on getting it, but will prolly pick it up down the road with the inevitable price drops.

Gotta keep reminding myself that the holiday release ehssploshun is coming and I'll need to be a little more careful about title selection and which games really need to wait for big price drops than usual.

Should I buy a 360? Games I want:
Fable II
ToV
Castlevania SotN
Lost Odyssey
IU?
Gears 1/2?
Any other exclusives I should look for?

$199 seems decent for an arcade unit. If the price drop comes to Canada I can use my employee discount and grab the Arcade after tax for $202. How much does a hard drive go for? I shouldn't need more than 20 I don't think. Arcade can do HD output right?
I loved N+ on 360, and to me N+ is a perfect portable game. Pick up and play a few levels when you're bored.
Yeah, I didn't want to get it for the XBLA because of the pick up and play aspect, that's much more suited for a portable system

Now to decide: DS or PSP?

:whistle2:k

Yes do it. Get CoD4 as well .. so I can kick your ass on my home turf.

*mumbles curses about the D3 analog sticks*

ya you'd have to acquire some component cables. Does the arcade model 360 have an HDMI output?

The new ones do. It should say on the box.

Thats cool, component cables are like $8.50 on monoprice.

I like the DS3 better then the 360 controller from what I have used. I would probably buy most multiplatform games on the PS3 for that reason.

EDIT:

Frackin OTT speeds this shit up

Cant type out a response without getting a question I was going to ask answered before I asked it

I got mad extra hdmi cables

WUT?

I still want an HDMI port on my 360 Stupid ass MS says "You don't need it." and later they're like "OK, you need it." I wanted that shit day one.

They should give me one the next time I have to send this POS in.
OTT runs this place.

Everyone needs a 360, yo!

Arcade has a HDMI port, son!
And the buttons are lettered. Shits tight. :whee:

Kinda like how Sony said when they rolled out the PS3 that backwards compatibility is the bees knees and rumble isn't something the consumer wants and now it's just the opposite.

You and me both, it still pisses me off to this day. I saw the Elite come out with it and I was like "...ok, that sucks, but it's fine" then when it became standard, I flipped out.

It's twice the fun in here now!

Speaking of 360 (are we still talking that Circle?), I think I'm actually getting to the point where I'm gonna need a bigger HDD soon. Shit.

It's not bad. I adapted to it pretty quick .. at least for CoD anyway. The thing I'm still having a lot of problems with is clicking the analog stick in to knife people. And overall it's a bit on the small side for my hands. I like that it's heavier than the six axis though.

That's my major complaint about the 360. That it's so proprietary yet. The USB ports are there .. friggin let us use them. Let me hook up a 250gb seagate hdd or something.

WTF 90 day warranty on Arcade unit. Should still be 3 years for RRoD though right?

DS3 is a nice weight. Sixaxis (palindrome WTF) was too light imo.

Another random thought/complaint: the standalone HDD upgrade costs like almost half as much as just buying an Elite...will be even more so with the price cut next month.

I sure hope the price cut extends to the standalone drive. :p

I was down to 1.2GB left on my HDD. Deleted a few things and am up to 2.5GB, but I need to upgrade soon.
