Which game packaging do you prefer XBOX 360 or PS3?

True, I sized them up. They are the same width, the PS3 cases are just shorter. But make no mistake about it, the PS3 case is a better quality case.

I definitely prefer the 360 cases. I actually like the green color, and the logo fits the case better than the hideous Spider-Man font on the PS3 covers.
It's not like the PS3 cases are thinner, they're just shorter. It doesn't save me more space at all. They should have kept the DVD-style cases and went with a clear, thinner case. So when they release a 2 Blu-ray disc game, it would all fit in one regular size case.
They can easily fit 2 discs in the existing cases, probably even 3. The 4 disc Blu-Ray cases are only a few millimeters wider than the PS3 cases are.

PS3 hands down. The small size is kind of nice but I really like the clear plastic used for the case itself. Even if they had been designed as standard size but were manufactured with the clear plastic I would have liked them. The Blu-Ray and HD-DVD cases are just terrible.

Like others have said, the JPN Gamecube cases are king. They're all made from a heavy duty plastic, they're a nice compact size and they have memory card slots inside. Plus the slip case is hot. I like the PSP game cases quite a bit too although I'm hoping the next iteration of the PSP will bring vertically smaller cases for the games. The Euro DS cases are pretty nice as well. Shit, maybe I'm just a sucker for clear plastic.

Personally, I like the fact that the Playstation consoles each support the new disc-type of the time, and use the same cases as other types of data on the same media (CD, DVD, BD). On the other hand, I also agree with whoever said it would be best if all 5-inch discs came in CD cases due to space issues. But since they don't, I do like the fact Sony uses "industry-standard" sizes.

I like the PS3 cases because the design is something new. Also the spine of the case seems a bit better than regular dvd cases/ or 360 cases.

I like the PS3 cases more, mainly because of the size. I wish game and movie cases used the really thin cases that are used for some TV on DVD sets, or some promo dvds. I still like having physical copies of games and dvd's and that would double the amount my shelves could hold.
