Which PS3 SKU do you own

Well, I've seen threads like this at PSU and noticed there has never been a thread here asking people what PS3 SKU they have. I think it would be interesting to figure out what percentage of CAG members own each SKU.

If people wonder what SKU do they vote for if they upgraded their HDD, vote for the SKU your original HDD came from. If you have an all black PS3 (regardless of HDD), you vote 20GB.

Anyway, I have a 20GB PS3. Finally upgraded the HDD to a 250GB. :D

Wow, more 60GB than I thought. I have a 60GB also and I would glady sell it if I could get a premium for it. I have no desire for BC honestly.

I think there are "more" 60's because those are the users that want to come here to vote, you know to show they have the superior ps3. That's my opinion. It's a selective poll.

Yeah because saying you have a 60GB makes you soooo cool!!

The 60 isn't that much more superior in my book. Once the PS2 hits $99, the desire to find them for BC is going to go out the window.

It's a selective poll.
Well, actually, there are tons of 60's because people had a choice at launch as to whether they wanted 60 or 20, and the majority wanted 60. The 20GB was discontinued at the end of 2006 in the U.S., so that's why next to no one has one. Secondly, the 60 was the first to drop price because they were getting rid of the SKU (The 80GB was initially $600). As soon as the 60GB became more scarce (some retailers still had them), the 80GB dropped price and the 40GB just came in. 60GB will have the most people due to it being the SKU around for the longest and it hasn't become hard to find until a few months ago.

I can say by the 2008 Holiday season, the percentage of 60GB owners will be cut in half (since production has ended), 40GB will see the biggest spike (At PSU, 40GB is the 2nd highest SKU), and the 80GB will increase just a little (because the MGS bundle is still limited and the consoles used for it are 80GB ones Sony hasn't shipped to retailers or MotorStorm bundles pulled off of the shelves).

But like I said, it just comes down to:
20GB being only available for 2-3 months really (very hard to find after that).
60GB was available for 12 months at least (to a point you could find a new one without many issues accross the country).
40GB just has 4 months.
80GB has 8 months, yet no one started bothering with it until October (meaning it's really 5 months).
The hell, me and Mana are the only two 20GB owners?

daroga and naes have one, I just gotta get them to vote in this poll.

I have 2X the HDD as you though. ;)

I have a 60gb because a) backwards compatibility is very important to me b) they announced it would be discontinued c) it was $20 off at amazon, came with 5 free hd dvds with rebate, and 5 free via amazon.

60GB and 2 40GBs. The 60GB I bought first, when they were being clearanced (got Heavenly Sword and the remote for free), because I wanted one of the full BC units. The 40s I bought for my parents and father-in-law as Blu-Ray players.

My attach rate is 0.33 :)
60GB thanks to Meijer and their generous 30% off when you open their credit card.
I would have gotten my 20GB PS3 cheaper at Meijer IF that one guy didn't take the PS3 away from me just to sell it on ebay (because Meijer had a 15% sale when you use your Meijer CC. The guy didn't have one and my parents did, so I was going to use theirs. I just took to long to decide). I was going to wait for another one, but I was losing sleep for a while since I couldn't stop thinking about a PS3, so I bought one 11 days later when I saw one again.

Proof I have a 20GB

Has that wonderful $499.99 Meijer pricetag on it, which I paid. :D

I got a 20, but upgraded it to 120GB. ;) I didn't need wireless or the media reader (not compelling for me...)

And the monochromatic gloss black is a nice addition to my glossy black Samsung LCD. :)

My 20GB came from me doing so well with reselling my first 60GB on ebay that I kept a spare 20GB I also had purchased.

So, it was free, with lots of money to spare.
It also has 120GB drive now, but I want to upgrade even that now. :/

I'm glad I waited to upgraded, since the 250GB price came way down. 120GB is not enough for me.

wow, I've been d/l random demos and crap, uploaded some videos and pics.. but what are you guys using on the HDD to use up even 120gb lol. got 80gb.

It's mostly the ton of videos I've kept since launch from the PSN store.

Hot Shots Golf: OoB has a ~4GB install. Heavenly Sword has a ~2GB install. Add games with optional installs, some demos ranging from 400MB-1.7GB, some patches are big, PSN games (ranging from 50MB to 800MB), and other things and you'll quickly fill it. I have 165GB of free space on my 250GB.

I got me a 60GB as soon as Sony mentioned the removal of the EE chip for BC. BC is very important to me, which is why I bought right then and there. :)
My 60GB owns me actually.
Exactly. Not as many games as I'd like, but I love my 60GB SOOOO much =)

I have the 60 G, ive been eyeing the ps3 before launch and lets just say i made the right move on purchasing the ps3 much earlier(with the bc and all).
