Oh man I'm SOO pissed off right now. I went out today to get mega man collection because it was supposedly released today. So first I go to Gamecrazy and they tell me it will be another 3 days so I think ok, thats pretty slow but Gamecrazy's known for being slow. 2nd I go to Bestbuy and what answer do I get? "At least another week" HOW THE HELL CAN A CHAIN STORE TAKE A WEEK LONGER TO GET SOMETHING THAN THE RELEASE DATE?! You always see them getting their fucking cd's and dvd's on the release dates, but games? fuck NO. I finally take a look at Target and the answer I get, " At least another week". I can't believe how fucking slow these stores are. Anyone else experience this?

Well I was on my way home with my mom and just thought about gamestop but then she said she wasnt gonna be drivin out there again

The Target and Walmart stores near me are pretty good about getting things when they are released, so you might want to call and ask, but Cornfedwb is right about saying that local videogame stores are probably the best place to look if you need it right now.

Calm down there buddy, today was the SHIPPING date, it wont be in most stores till tomorrow, thats the way it goes for most all games, if you look on all the websites it says: Ships 6/22/04 that means it ships today, unless you live in a futurustic city where your order come instantly through a tube, not gonna happen.

I dunno if it is getting common. I had that same problem last week with FM4, no one had it in. I was about to pillage and raze the entire city before I made some Best Buy employee go to the back and get it for me a few days early.

OK, time to fess up. I bought the entire stock directly from capcom; over the next few decades I'll sell them on ebay, one a day. I'm thinking of starting the bidding at $100 - after all, it's a rare game now that I have all the copies.

Called EB today to see about that and Driver 3, Mega Man should be there in the morning. Call after 11am is what they told me to do.

normally the gamestores here dont get it until the day after the release date, the release is when it ships to everyone, including the game stores, EB and gamestop should all have it tomorrow.

The date posted on many sites, ladies and gentlemen, is the SHIPPING DATE. If you are lucky and live on the West Coast, you can get it that day...everyone else must wait.

Today the 22nd is the shipping day, it will be in stores like tomorrow or the next day. I know Im looking forward too it also.

yea same here i live near NY and we get our releases same day as it ships, usually late in the afternoon (guy says to come past 1pm). picked up my MM: AC today after work =)

I went to Gamestop today and they said it comes in tomorrow. I was gonna get Driv3r instead of this, but that got shitty reviews. So I'm buying Mega Man and Sonic Collections.
does anybody know the price this game is going to come out at?
its going to be $29.99

i think i'm going to wait and see if i can pick up this collection for under 20 like I did with the sonic collection

the reviews are high on this one though...hope it's as good as sonic

EB's around here have it as well. I preordered mine so I'm just awaiting it to be shipped, but I took a look over the case while I was at my local EB. :) Can't wait!

To respond to the initial question of "WHY DOES NOBODY HAVE MEGA MAN COLLECTION?!?", I will use a quote from Family Guy:

"Because you touch yourself at night."

It's not a high-profile game to most retailers, unlike Driver 3 (which has recieved less than savory reviews). I had the same problem when Colin McRae Rally 04 came out, or was supposed to be out. I went to many stores a few days after it's release, and couldn't find it except at Gamestop. It took places such as Best Buy, Gamecrazy and even EB a week to get the game on the shelves.

Also, you need to give games a bit of a "window" from their release date. The date a game should be "out" is more like the day the game ships. Sometimes the game will be on the shelves on the date provided, but that's not always the case. I remember last year that I wanted to pick up F-Zero GX, and it wasn't available until two days after it's release.

It all depends on how hyped the game is, really, which is always the sad truth about the gaming industry.

Give it a week, or buy it online. It will be available soon.

ROFL

i remember that quote!! i forgot wut episode that was from tho :( can u refresh my memory?

the closest Gamecrazy to me was sold out of the cube version today for some reason. Luckily there are a ton more game stores around here, but the principle of the matter pisses me off. Why is it that Gamecrazy NEVER has a new game that I want to buy? Very rarely do I ever buy new games that aren't on sale, but the last 5 times I've wanted a regular priced new game Gamecrazy hasn't had it. I normally like the store a lot, IMO their customer service is way better then the other game stores, but they never fucking have any new games that I want. Is it just my bad luck?

Tis true...but it varies from retailer to retailer and from location to location. For instance, most games are Overnighted from the distrubition centers because most people EXPECT them on those dates, and places have taken reserves on those titles. But on smaller titles, like Colin Mcrae 4 or something of the like, there is no need to have it in the stores on THAT DAY. They haven't recieved much press, probably haven't garnered that many reserved, they those 3-day ground the shipments rather than go the extra and overnight them. Some retailers get it early only because of the distribution centers the corporate offices use. Some places get it early because they get stuff from Canada, who for some reasons gets stuff earlier than we do.

I played it at the demostand at EB today.. when I get a PS2 again, I'll definately get it. The GC controls were (seemed) backwards.. but it was a blast.

I watched my roommate play through Mega Man 1-3 and then we played the first fighting game for a bit. Great package, but the gamecube controls are pretty wack.

Yes, they are. Why the hell did Capcom invert the controls on this game and *not* include some kind of controller configuration option??? I've been playing these MegaMan games for the past 15 years and I have it hardwired into my brain that A button is always jump and B is shoot. Now it's reversed. WTF?!? I can't play it this way. It's so frustrating, I'm seriously considering selling it off on Ebay now.
