Well I mean like a few months ago we were given a big list of shit that's coming out and we all circle jerked over it because of games like World of Goo, Bomberman, and Tetris. What else is coming out that's been announced for WiiWare that we should all be strokin too?
For the most part Wiiware games aren't announced until the day they're released.

Is it just me, or did the Wii Shop Channel update put a slightly remixed background tune in? Also, the connection sound sounds a little more Dolby PL II swirly.

This week, Europe got 3 WiiWare games, Home Sweet Home - 1000 Points (America will probably get this game next Monday), Tetris Party - 1200 Points, and The Incredible Maze - 500 Points.
Home Sweet Home? The hell?
Home Sweet Home sees players in the role of a home decorator and their team tasked with renovating the homes of a number of clients. Working with a budget and the client's own tastes, players first lay down a blueprint of their design before sending in their team to realize it. Over 400 pieces of furniture will be available in total, with more furniture and game features unlockable as players progress through the game. The game is viewed from a fixed isometric view similar to The Sims or the online game Habbo. Control in the Wii version is mainly centered around the pointer function of the Wii Remote. However, the player can speed up the building process by using the motion controls to perform tasks such as hammering nails or painting walls.

geez, I'll have to get the wife to buy some points... she'd love that Home Sweet Home one...

bet it's going to be large too...

Ya know..this is the last Monday before Halloween...it'd be a perfect opportunity for some halloween'esque games.. Like.. OH, I don't know. Zombies Ate My Neighbors?

/WISHFUL THINKING
/TEARS
They should remake Zombies Ate My Neighbors for Wii Ware and add online co-op.
That would be awesome but i doubt it would happen
I can see Zombies ate my Neighbors coming out monday though

Looking at last year's update before Halloween--10/29/07--they DID do a Halloween theme.
We had gotten Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, Samuari-Ghost. and Magician Lord.

So.. it's not totally out of the question. Sadly, I highly doubt we'll get ZAMN : (
We already know we're getting Strongbad 3, and that has nothing to do with Halloween  I have a feeling it'll be that plus that Home Sweet Home game.

+ 2 Halloween'esque VC games.

lol that would be sweeet

No Zombies. :whistle2:(

WII-KLY UPDATE: TWO WIIWARE GAMES AND ONE VIRTUAL CONSOLE GAME ADDED TO WII SHOP CHANNEL

Oct. 27, 2008
It's a rockin' week at the Wii™ Shop Channel, featuring fresh additions to two hot WiiWare™ game series, plus a character-driven classic for the Virtual Console™. Fans of Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People will find an awesome new installment, while those who've discovered Nintendo's extraordinary Art Style™ series will discover an elegant new puzzle title to enjoy. And if you've got room in your game library for a heroic earthworm, don't miss the Wii debut of the legendary Earthworm Jim™.

Nintendo adds new and classic games to the Wii Shop Channel at 9 a.m. Pacific time every Monday. Wii owners with a high-speed Internet connection can redeem Wii Points™ to download the games. Wii Points can be purchased in the Wii Shop Channel or at retail outlets. This week's new games are:

WiiWare

Strong Bad Episode 3: Baddest of the Bands (Telltale Games, 1 player, Rated E10+ for Everyone 10 and Older - Alcohol Reference, Crude Humor, Mild Cartoon Violence, Mild Suggestive Themes, 1,000 Wii Points): Rock and roll! Hurting for cash, Strong Bad sets out to dominate the “Battle Royale of the Bands.” Can he rule the stage and win the big prize? Or will he be drowned out by the competition? Find out in this high-voltage episode.

Art Style: ROTOHEX™ (Nintendo, 1-2 players, Rated E for Everyone, 600 Wii Points): Use colored triangular panels to create a vibrant mosaic of stained glass in Art Style: ROTOHEX. As triangles fall from the top of the screen, rotate them to group six panels of the same color and create a matching hexagon, or HEX. Once the HEX has been formed, it will disappear, allowing the existing panels to shift and more panels to fill the playing field. A clear-cut goal and two different styles of intuitive controls allow you to focus solely on the game play-which is vital, as the playing field will be full of panels before you know it. With multiple modes (unlock more as you progress further in SOLO mode), special item panels at your disposal, and the ability to play cooperatively or competitively with a friend, there will always be another HEX to create.

Virtual Console

Earthworm Jim (Sega Genesis, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone - Animated Violence, 800 Wii Points): Jim was an ordinary earthworm who did very earthworm-like things, such as flee from crows and eat dirt. One day, during an outer space fight, a suit drops to Earth and falls around Jim. It mutates him into a large and intelligent (at least by earthworm standards) superhero. Play as Jim in this Sega Genesis classic. When Jim learns of the evil plans of Psy-Crow and Queen Slug-for-a-Butt, he decides to rescue Princess What's-Her-Name. Run, gun, swing on hooks by your head and launch cows at the interesting characters you meet along the way, such as Major Mucus, Chuck and Fifi, Evil the Cat, and Bob the Killer Goldfish.

...if you've got room in your game library...

Nintendo is just mocking us now.
I'm going to wishfully think the marketing copy writer is a little annoyed with Nintendo too.

Why is it during the summer when I had lots of time to play games, they release SHIT, and then now when I have no time to play games or when I do it is big games like Dead Space, everything comes out at once. The fuck Nintendo.

Awesome week overall though, but still argh. Will be getting Earthworm Jim.

I don't remember the difference between EJ and EJ2. One of them was a real pain in the ass..but I don't know which one it was :[

You know what's sad? That homebrew can load software from the SD card but Nintendo refuses to do so.

I'm half tempted to remove all my VC games from the system and stick to WiiWare, but sadly WiiWare games take up the majority of my system space, aside from some massive saves from a couple of games that I can not move to an sd card!

So wait.
The people who pirate the WiiWare titles CAN play them directly from an SD card....with no problems at all? (no lag?)

Yep. Its cool knowing Nintendo is barely getting around to doing something it took some kids a few days to do.

Those dirty fools also have a backup loader that allows you to play burnt copies of games without hard modding your console. :whistle2:|

I can't say, as I have not done so.

I imagine it is possible, as all homebrew applications are loaded directly from the SD card with no lag. As far as I know, I don't think there's any support from the HBC for pirated WiiWare titles.

Ideally, I would like Nintendo to implement a solution that upon load, the SD card is scanned for channels/wiiware/vc titles. Additionally, the HBC also supports SDHD, which would be nice to see implemented as well. No need for hard drives. It can be done and should be done.
EJ2 was the PITA, because you had to do all this gimmick garbage shit in certain stages and it would change the controls up.
True about the changing controls, but I always enjoyed EWJ2. I never could beat 1, especially the underwater level in the bathysphere.

That level is hell.

Oh, and of course I will be getting Dialhex. Will probably revisit EWJ too.

No. Those people are talking out of their ass. What softmodded Wiis can and cannot do is pretty simple.

Can:
Run homebrew directly from SD card, including emulators to play ROM's off SD.
Download and install WiiWare/Virtual Console games from SD
Run burned copies of games, most with bugs
Install custom channels or channels from outside of your region
Run games from another region
Cannot:
Run Wiiware/actual VC channels from SD
