Of course I am. Treefall Studios' games keep getting better and better.

I believe its from the same guy who developed the masterpiece, "The Letter".
That's right. The Letter is certainly, one of the best Survival horror games in quite some time.

What looks appealing about it though? It looks like literally an empty, unchallenging maze you walk around.

Not trying to start an argument, I honestly just think I must be missing something.

Wow lots of good sales right now in the eu eshop. Guacamelee, Runner 2, Teslagrad and some others are on sale for like half off. Wonder if US are gonna get some of those deals too.

Yeah, it's part of the "Super Indie Connection" promotion. I've been talking about wanting one of these for a while, so hopefully it comes our way. Great chance to support indies you might otherwise not know about or be interested in.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is coming out today, Punchout next week, and Metroid Prime Trilogy the following.  Each will be half off for one week.  No mention of what the initial price is though (probably too much).

Man if they charge $50 for Wii VC games...  :twoguns:

They lowered the MSRP of Galaxy 2 to $30 at some point, I'm pretty sure, so I wouldn't think they'd go $50. $30 is still way too high, though. I think $15 would be fair, but am not expecting them to go under $20.

If they're $20 I'll SMG2 and MPT for half off. Not counting on it though.

Hooray.  Too bad they won't launch all Wii VC games at half off.  Would make their over priced VC stuff a lot more appealing and get them a ton of early sales.

Feeling pretty good about selling my sealed Trilogy for an obscene amount a couple years ago.  For $10 I will be happy to finally give Metroid Prime 2 a real shot.

Of course now I wish I had bought more than another $10 eShop credit yesterday.  $320 won't last forever.

Yeah right? I was never the biggest fan of the Metroid Prime games but I've wanted to give them one more shot, especially if I could get my hands on the trilogy. $10 is the perfect price to make those games worth trying on a whim.

Honestly, if pretty much every major Nintendo release made it onto the VC and was always $10 the first week, I'd pick up stuff I've been iffy on in the past but wanted to try again like Skyward Sword or Pikmin 1.

Too bad after this they'll probably release all the worst first party stuff at full price and never put it on sale. I would buy almost all the GBA stuff if it was half off but I'm not paying $8 or whatever they charge for it.

For those who like Mario vs Donkey Kong, if you buy either 3DS or Wii U version of the newest entry, you get a download code for the other version for free.

Lack of Wii U controller support ruins it for me...ill be all over Mario Kart Wii if they put it on there at some point since it should use the controller.

I find it funny how they mention gamepad support for games that support the classic controller.

To my knowledge the first three games do not support the classic controller.
I would maybe of repurchased Mario Galaxy 2 if it supported the gamepad.

I still may buy it anyway for $10 since I never finished it on Wii.

That they do not. I'll still pay $10 for MPT and SMG2 just to not have to go into Wii mode.

I'll have to think long and hard about SMG2, we didn't get along when I played it long ago.  SMA3 is the only way to currently get Yoshi's Island, right?

I hope this is a good sign that nintendo will start releasing more of the "OOP too soon" games for reasonable prices digitally.  I just asked for them to do this in a club nintendo survey comment a few days back, but of course that is just coincidence.  I was just looking at amazon listings for metroid prime trilogy since I still have mine sealed, and it's crazy how many shady sellers trying to sell it "new" for $200 but mention in the comment how "plastic came off during move" or "opened plastic to test out, but new".  Yeah right.  So shady.

Wait wait, Wii downloads are available on the Wii U already!?
They figured out how to free the games from the clutches of the Wii Mode for all of the lazy people out there. The only caveat is that it's limited to the control options that the original game support with the nice thing being that Classic Controller/Pro games will support the GamePad.

The first three games are Super Mario Galaxy 2 (out now), Punch-Out!!!, and Metroid Prime Trilogy coming out each of the next few weeks for 50% off during its launch week. Seems like they'll be $20 each, which is great for Metroid Prime Trilogy.

Not really. It still runs in "Wii Mode" even though you don't have to use the Wii menu. I believe it does the exact same thing as when you launch a Wii disc straight from the Wii U menu, hence why save data is shared across disc and digital, and the Wii U has to basically reboot when you exit the game.

I just hope this means the Gamepad-as-a-Classic-Controller feature will also apply to Wii disc games too.

EDIT: sorry, it's not the exact same thing. Wii discs send you to the Wii menu, not straight into the game.

I know, but you no longer need to boot into the Wii Mode, get out your Wii Remote, insert the original disc, navigate the channels, and launch it to play that stuff. Now you just start the game from the Wii U menu and it does the rest for you, hence why I said they freed it from the clutches of the Wii Mode because it's a much more simple process now.

I swear they are rubbing it in with Pushmo World and Pushmo. Bought Crashmo (among other games) on 12/31 because it almost never goes on sale and I was trying to get my DDP on. Fell 8 points short and of course Pushmo goes on sale. Rub it in Nintendo, rub it in.
