idk if this has been posted already im to lazy to search but i got an email from dvdtalk today and they said that best buy had the wild arms box for $10.99 so i went to bb and sure enough they had 1 left and it rung up for $10.99.

The only way you're going to find out is if you go to a store and order it yourself. Everybody else seems to have gotten it after a short backorder period.
 
I order my excel box set this monday and was told it was ready to ship on tue so I'm guessing you shouldn't have a problem sadly elfen lied seems to be still in back order :(
 
just ordered today...excel seems to be back ordered again.... till the end of the month. kaleido star and wild arms should ship soon.
 
went back to best buy to order mezzo 2 and 3 for 6.99 each.... spent over $60 already.....no lunch for 2 weeks now.....or i can use vacation time so i don't have to waste gas for a week
 
Well I Was lucky today ^_^ I was able to find a copy of Elfen Lied Vol 1 box at a best buy near my job ;) so I cancel my back order one from best buy hehe :p
 
I was in Best Buy to pick up my B2G1 DS games (that's another thread) and decided to check if Super GALS was still available. I had passed on it earlier, but I read a review of it and it sounded like exactly the thing I would like.

So I ordered it. Curse you, Kirin, for making me buy all this good anime ;)

I'm not sorry, either!! I think you and I have similar tastes - Utena, Kaleido Star, Super GALS... we're clearly the most awesome people here.
 
I got my devil lady, excel saga boxset and FMP FF vol 1 box today ^_^ i'm thinking of order Super Gals and Kaleido Star ...... but still not sure at the moment ...

It's not anime, but ADV did release it on DVD. Apparently you can also buy Mutant X Season One (6-disc set) for $9.99 through bestbuy.com on the in-store kisoks.

Not off the top of my head. I just kinda looked back through some of the old threads here about markdowns on Anime (and ADV releases) at Best Buy over the last year or so and decided to check the prices of a few through the in-store kiosks. Mutant X just happened to come up at the lower sale price there like the titles listed in this thread did. I'd suggest somebody look over those old threads and check some of the prices of DVDs listed in them to see if any of the others are cheaper through the kiosks. I'd do it myself, but i haven't had a lot of spare time to go to Best Buy lately. I'm glad someone got some use out of my post though.

I was there earlier today before i found out about the new additions to the sale (i swear everytime i come home from the mall its at i find some new deal i need to go back for). They had all the dvds i wanted in stock (though only 1 of each)

For anyone else who's planning on using the online store locator, it doesnt seem to work for anime that only has 1 left on the shelf. Ill probably be heading back tomorrow to grab Genshiken 2 & Otogi Zoshi (which if its anything like the manga, will be a decent series). Guess i can always use the RZ certs later on.
 
Magic Knight Rayearth has always looked good to me, both sets for around $35 is awesome!

I love Galaxy Angel, but I already have the original, Z, and A series sets. lol, like I said I love GA. :D

I might order the Banner and Crest of the Star sets too sometime if they're still available. I need more money. >_
 
Just got back from Best Buy. They seemed to have restocked a lot of things. They had 2 Otogi Zoshi complete sets; a buncha Genshikens, Legend of Mystical NInja Thinpaks and Speed Graphers.

I didnt really look at the Bandai clearances as most of those seem to be mech shows (and i really hate mech shows, except for a few really good ones - Rahxephon & Eva in particular).

The price tags on all the items were the normal "retail" price, but rang up at the website/kiosk prices with no problems. Store locator is still showing no items for all the ones that were in stock when i left there a few minutes ago, so you may want to go and check for yourself.
 
@Kiri Lemon: How is Crest/Banner of the Stars? I've been meaning to check that series out (I've heard good reviews, but I'm still curious). My BB has had copies of that in for months, nobody buys it and that = good for me!
 
I thought Crest of the Stars and Banner of the Stars were pretty good overall. I still need to see Banner of the Stars II. If I hadn't been spoiled by the grand scale of Legend of Galactic Heroes I probably would have thought it even better.

They're really great if you can appreciate political space dramas. Just be sure to listen to the original Japanese language track, since the dub is completely lifeless.

Thanks - I need more anime like I need another hole in my head after the Right Stuff blowout, but I couldn't resist picking up Rayearth season 2 for my wife. She's had season 1 forever now (the original dvd release, afaik).

Agreed. Horrible, horrible dub. I watch 90% of anime in dub, but not CotS. Maybe it got better, but the secondary characters in the first two episodes were absolutely painful to listen to; not to mention Lafiel was terrible.

Good show though! Hopefully I can pick up Banner, as I already have BannerII (from Dollar General).
 
Thanks for the heads up guys. I managed to order Excel Saga for $17.99 at my local Best Buy. However, I hate using those kiosks. Every page you go to has a script error, and requires you to manually push enter in order to proceed. That, and the freakin' Best Buy employees were bothering me every minute, asking if I needed help.

Wow. My Best Buy actually had things in the store. Picked up Angel Links, Galaxy Angel, Banner of the Stars, and Saber Marionette J at the B&M. Picked up Rurouni Kenshin: Season 3 (backordered..nuuuu!!!), Gokusen: Premium Set, Nana 7/7, and Magic Knight Rayearth S1&S2 from the kiosk. I love Best Buy.

Was thinking about Kaze no Yojimbo and Samurai Deeper, but I got enough stuff. I just can't resist $15 boxsets :bouncy: ...even when I have so much backlog already.
 
I like Kaze no Yojimbo, its pacing is slow, but it works very well with the storyline, which revolves around a small town with dark secrets. I'd say it's a great deal at ~$18, I think I paid around $20-$25 using the Google $10 off $20 or more orders from several months back and I never regretted it.
