I didn't review Monopoly - it came out before I joined WPCentral. Also, I had the sale price wrong; my bad. I'm still hoping it will get a real price drop one day, but that might be unlikely since EA is the publisher.
Final Fantasy may be a lengthy game, but that alone doesn't make it worth the money. I mean, it's not necessarily a bad game, but it's not really anything special. Touch controls will be a plus, however, because it will eliminate the tedium of navigating through menus (as long as it works as I expect).

And I guess I'm the only one who doesn't see a $1 game as an instant purchase. It's an excellent price for sure, but I still need the game to be enjoyable if I'm going to put any time into it.
As long as a game isn't glitched, I'll buy any game for a dollar. However, Droplitz sounds pretty brutal so looks like I'm passing on this one.

Somebody completed it at TA a few hours ago. Also, Droplitz Delight was specifically designed to be more accessible than the original game. I haven't played it yet, but might be good to try the demo or get some more impressions.

Yeah, I'll probably just wait to see the eventual x360a guide. Some of the Windows Phone pros have already posted it's pretty hard, so it's probably way out of this world for me.

K...so there are some games I will not buy even for a dollar......Glyder(just couldn't get into it) and the Fighting fame forgot its name but it's god awful. I bought Droplitz Delight and will play that once Im done with Feed Me Oil.

I asked this question over on the Feed Me Oil board on xbox360a but have yet to get an answer:

Do the stars earned in the Antigravity levels you unlock after getting 200 stars count towards the 250 star achievement?

Oh and if anyone wants easy achievements...Monopoly is a good game to get.

Monopoly DotW? Damn! If they're gonna repeat some of the oldest games on WP as DotW, they need to hit Rocket Riot again! (funny pic tho, EastX)

It's a totally competent Monopoly game with pretty easy cheevos, but it's definitely nothing special.

I haven't gotten to the Droplitz demo yet.

I'm abit confused. Monopoly is $2.99 or $1.99? Or maybe I am missing something from that post that compiles all the past sales? Monopoly isn't the only one with the odd sale price there.

Having posted that erroneous information in 3 different places, I forgot to correct it in the Past Sales list... Pobody's nerfect.
Question, is SurvivalCraft the best Minecraft clone on WP? I'm not a big fan of endorsing these clone games, but I guess its my only option.
Yes it is. It gets better with each new patch too, just like the real thing.

Sweet, I think I'll grab it. What are the limitations of the trial? I haven't noticed any yet.

So yah.......got around to playing Droplitz and I agree with everyone on the difficulty. That being said, its not a bad game for what it is, but yes, definitely a difficult game. I'd say it's worth the buck but don't expect many achievements.

Does the Target "campaign" get tougher? So far seems like that would be pretty easy to sail though. The combos achievements seem ridiculous, and I'm not sure on the score ones.

i got to level 10. it does get a bit tougher as you go on. i probably could have gotten thru level 15. got distracted for a little bit and had to set my phone down for like 10-15 seconds and didnt pause it. ill probably give it another go in a bit.

well i have found my answer for the antigravity levels stars on Feed Me Oil....they seem to not count towards the 250 achievement. I have 214 stars on the normal worlds and 36 on Antigravity. Need vids for the rest of the world 6 levels. :(

while on the topic of solutions to games, i am wondering if anyone beat Dustbowl - Wave 12 in Mini Squadron? i'm really struggling to get past that particular wave. I've tried all the different planes that I've unlocked and even asked in x360a.

it's usually the shark plane that gets me. it is fast, very maneuverable and the sheer number of enemies is just punishing (laser beam UFOs are just as annoying). i mean i can get through Wave 10 & 11 without a hitch but it's like there's a steep learning curve to just get past Wave 12 :(

If anyone can help or offer solutions, or perhaps what plane they used to clear that Wave, do share. Maybe it's a plane that I have not unlocked yet, so I may have to find out how to do so as well.

^I gave up on that game for the same reason your describing. I'm not sure if it's the exact same level, but the sheer number of enemy planes in certain waves gets kinda ridiculous. Sorry I can't be of help.

I really don't think Droplitz is all that hard, but I might just have more experience with it than the rest of you. It's definitely a lot easier on the computer because you can just left and right click to control the rotation, but the phone version is a lot easier than playing on a console because tapping is more convenient than using a stick. I do think the achievements will be a bit tricky if you're trying to go for them, but it's a really fun game regardless. I'll be getting this sometime soon, I think.

I'm pretty disappointed about Monopoly not being as cheap as initially posted, but I'll probably get it anyway. Other than the physical board game, the only Monopoly I've ever owned is on GameBoy Advance, so I'm far from being sick of it.

I purchased droplitz and it is good worth the dollar. The achievements are not going to be easy, at least for me. I am not very good at games like this, but still find some enjoyment in them.

Yeah, at 1.99 I may have purhased monopoly. It is a pass for me. Next week is another .99 cent title? monstafish right?

I don't quite understand what is so "hard" about Droplitz? The achievements seem to be hard, but the actual game is basically just rotating tubes, it's pretty simple and pretty fun. I'm enjoying it, $1 well spent.

Yes, next week is Monstafish for $.99 as well.

Also, a non-Live game called Mictlan has gone free for the next few days as part of that "Because We May" indie sale (it was originally just $1). I'm downloading it now so I don't know if it's any good, but just thought I'd mention it:

http://www.windowsphone.com/en-US/apps/1611b5e5-fd7a-48a7-85f2-1734dd8f3495

EDIT: Mictlan's not too bad. Kinda like PvZ but a little bit different style.

Yeah, I'm not sure. The only thing that trips me up is having to press a "button" to change the rotation's direction.

As for Mictlan...that's actually been free for a week or so, I think. Or maybe it's just free again. Either way, I downloaded it not too long ago through AppDeals. It was okay for the first few minutes, but I just couldn't get into it.
Starting to cool off on Droplitz. I'm not 100% sure how to get more droplitz so I don't run out.
gotta have combos and keep directing droplitz down paths fast. It gets harder after a while. Lol

Is there something you can do in Droplitz when the pieces connecting to the bottom drop channels (the paths off-screen) can't possibly be connected to anything above them? I've seen the 'No Moves' prompt come up occasionally, but I died at least 10 times with no possible moves that I could see. I am surprised at how impossible the game seems to me.

Also, a couple of deal alerts:

ARMED! is on sale for $1.99 - the sale should end Monday or sometime this week. If you buy only one non-Live Windows Phone game, Armed! should be it. Super slick strategy game with local and online multiplayer. Will have cross-platform play with the Windows 8 and iOS versions too.

Plus the official WPCentral app is going free for a single day anytime now. Very good app to have. ;)

Ditto! I'm not someone who really keeps up on news, but I got it just in case and I'll probably mess around with it before going to bed.

Some of the people commenting on that page are pathetic. Refusing to even play the demo of a game that's not a Live title is moronic and is exactly the kind of thing I was complaining about when giving my opinion on achievements a few pages back. Some people...

Anyway...
When you don't have any useful moves left in Droplitz, it should automatically clear the board. If that's not happening, then there must be something you can do. Be sure to look out for the "cul de sac" pieces that don't have a full path/tube/channel going through them because those can complete a connection for you. In the picture below, it's the piece that's directly above the bottom-left piece:
Droplitz-Delight-1.png

Other than that, I'm not sure. I haven't played Droplitz in a long time (aside from the WP7 demo), so there might be something I'm forgetting about.

Thumbs up for the free WPCentral app. I bought it last year because the ads slowed down the app (and pretty much every app and game on WP7), and since I used it so much, I decided to purchase it. Love it.

Grabbed the WPCentral app. Thanks EastX.

My phone was acting up this morning, randomly shutting off. Seems to be fixed now, but definitely gave me a scare.
Chickens can't fly is 1.99! I've been waiting on this one.
Excellent, will be grabbing it shortly. It will even be awarding Avatar Awards soon! :D

MontstaFish doesn't appear to be on the market yet.

Avatar Awards! Def gonna try this one out and see if I like it, it's definitely a fair price and I've seen good things on it here.

Also, this was pulled from the comments from the latest WP7 article about the game:

Hi guys,
In the next few days we are going to announce the full feature set of the first Title Update, coming soon.
To get the hat, if you previously played tha game and made those 15 gold medals, you just have to start the game. It is awarded retroactively.
For the slippers, you'll need to 'win an Xbox LIVE Challenge against a friend'. Xbox LIVE Challenges are a new multiplayer game mode that is added by the upcoming update, and winning one is not hard at all, especially if you have a friend willing to lose a challenge ;)

About those slippers being different... that's apparently a technical restriction. Shoes and other feet accessories are always differentiated by gender, even if they look exactly the same. So go ahead and wear those female slippers on your male avatar. No one will notice :p

Dev seems to be cool as hell, and the update should be here in the coming weeks.

Interesting, I don't believe anyone on my friends list currently has a Windows Phone though sadly, so for the slippers I'll have to see if I can add somebody from here who has/is getting the game, and if more games start involving multiplayer/leaderboards come out all the better!

Chickens Can't Fly seems to be pretty great, I really enjoyed the tutorial levels and quickly bought the game.

MonstaFish doesn't seem too bad, there are at least 3 different modes (only 2 available in the demo) but they were pretty different and both ok, so I think it's easily justifiable for $1. Plus, I want to support this price point.

lol I ended up buying both CCF and Monstafish this morning, I played the free/non-Live version of CCF awhile back and it was great, and Monstafish is only a dollar.

For some reason MS sent me another Windows Phone Skateboard Avatar Code. No idea why, but here it is if anyone wants it:

I hope the lurker at least has a WP. :D. My wife may have a code. I'll check to see if she used it. Pm me.

So I bought chickens, and will probably get monstafish. Seems ok for a dollar. I wonder what we have in store next week!?

Btw-am I the only one who randomly checks live WP games to see if any games got a random drop?

I used to, and actually stumbled on a couple. But there's an app called Marketplace Deals which does that, so I usually just check that now.

What non-live games are awesome that deserves worth my money?

Btw-love the wpcentral ap. So worth a dollar, imo.
