Wasn't Fable Coin Golf going to be 2.99. I was under that impression for some reason, so seeing it at the app store for 4.99 is kinda a downer.

Also, I don't know what the DOTW is, but wasn't Need for Speed always 6.99? It's now 4.99. Is that it?

I just bought Need For Speed two weeks ago for $4.99, so I don't think that's it.

I announced Fable Coin Golf's price in this very thread. It was always announced at $5. NFS launched at $5 too.

The DotW is Glow Artisan! Will update the thread later.

Here we go! The first Deal of the Week that I've actually bought (I already owned Battle for Hoth (belch) and Rocket Riot).

I've only played it a little bit, but it seems very polished. Anybody who likes puzzle games or even art should give it a shot.

Was marked down for me, showed $1.99

I had the demo on my phone already. I opened the demo this morning and clicked the "Buy" button and it showed up $1.99.

Strange.

I just now went back to Marketplace -> Apps -> Deal of the Week -> Glow Artisan and it's still showing up at $2.99. I clicked "buy" and it's wanted me to confirm it for $2.99.

I know it's only a buck, but this is weird!

Def picking up Glow Artisan.

BTW EastX I was messing around with the emulator today. You sure you can't use it for your reviews? (Nothing wrong with them just might help show gameplay better :) )

I had to pass on Hexic...absolutely a chore to control with my big hands.

Have you tried accessing the buy option via the demo (like I did)?

I installed the demo and clicked on purchase full game, but it was still showing at $2.99.

I went back into the game and clicked on purchase full game about three times over the past half an hour, and it just now showed up at $1.99. Purchase! FINALLY!! :)

Weird. Are you with AT&T, T-Mobile, or Sprint? Maybe the carrier affects the delay?

Nobody. I'm just using it with wi-fi; basically using it like an iTouch. So maybe that's it. I have a Dell Venue Pro.

I also just now received a notice that there's an update for the phone, so maybe that also had something to do with it.

I also don't have my phone activated. The first week I had it when a new deal came out, I didn't see the deal until the next day. The following week I saw the deal the sametime as everyone else. Before I left for work this morning, the deal was still set to Hexic. I'm not near WiFi and haven't been able to check if it has updated yet during the day.

If you're not using it for a phone then what are you using it for? The game marketplace on an iphone or ipod touch is 1000% better than on the Windows phone.

To play Xbox Live games. I actually have an iPhone that I use as a phone. Only problem is I don't get XBL achievements for playing those games. :) I like to consider my Windows Phone 7 as my portable Xbox.

Gotcha. I got rid of my iphone for a Windows phone to do the same but after a few months went back to the iphone. Achievements weren't enough for me to keep using it. I just didn't like the games that much and you only got 1 or 2 new ones each week.

I have a serious addiction to XBL achievements. Getting them on my phone was a dream, but I didn't want to give up my iPhone for it. So, I bought a Samsung Focus off someone on Craigslist.

I put the SIM out of my iPhone into my FOCUS for a day. I didn't really like the experience of using it as a phone. It is only MS's first attempt. I'm sure with updates, I'll like their OS just as much in a year or two. Hopefully the deal with Nokia brings us some really awesome phones.

Add me to the group who thinks as a phone, iPhone is better. However, it's not a fair comparison. I'll be interested to see how the phones are after mango. Hopefully there aren't NoDo style problems.

While iPhone has more games, the achievements are enough to pursuade me. I haven't touched an iPhone game since I got an unlocked focus. I also put way more time into my games compared to the iPhone counterparts. The incentive is there to play them.
It would probably have loved it I hadn't had an iphone first but it just didn't work as good for me after having had an iphone to begin with.
This is pretty much my feeling. If I had never had an iPhone, I probably would have loved WP7 as a phone.

Also, isn't the voicemail the old kind that calls a phone number and such? That is what I saw. I figured after the iPhone's visual voicemail, all smartphones had that.

True, voice mail on iPhone is much better. Also, the lack of custom ring tones on WP7 is a foolish oversight. Plus you can't control ringer volume and system volume independently. Otherwise I'm super happy with it.

Don't forget to read my blog! :)

I actually felt the opposite, albeit I have only owned the iPhone 3GS, the interface on WP7 was what won me over. I find the ability to pin very specific tasks, such as starting an album on a certain track or open up a specific document, to be really convenient for things I use frequently. Also, although it creeped me out at first, the way it scrapes data from all my social networks was pretty awesome. Finally, the way it will wirelessly sync while plugged in for charging is really neat, if only for the novelty.

I do miss the sheer volume of apps and some of the other seemingly obvious omissions pointed out by EastX, but everything has been a pleasant change so far.

Harbor Master is definitely coming to Xbox Live next week on April 13. To celebrate, I've written a full preview:

Harbor Master - Exclusive preview

Flight Control fans should definitely give it a look.

Also, I've written a rare indie game review. Most indie games so far aren't worth mentioning, but this one's an unusually good-looking puzzler and costs only a dollar:
I think I'll pass. Never been big on electronic versions of Monopoly.
Ditto.

The Genesis / SNES version was great. Every newer version I've played since then doesn't quite capture the game.

If your into achievements I just bought monopoly and just got the full 200gs in about 2 hours. I wish you could play over the internet with others though

I bought Monopoly this morning and am into achievements. Only problem is I've never really played Monopoly. So, I doubt I'll be able to get all the achievements in 2 hours. :)

Just got the last achievement. I'd say it took me closer to 3 hours.

I don't know how many times I was in jail, but it took me forever to roll my way out. Amazingly, I was in jail, roll a pair of 2s and land on the space that also got me the achievement where I'm on every space.

I've already deleted the game off my phone. I don't see ever playing it again. I will say it was great playing as I learned how Monopoly is played. I'm thinking about buying the 360 version of Monopoly now.
