Sweet, I already own 3 of the 4 of them, but I'll take free Fragger! Thanks Yama, these are the same games that are currently free on Windows 8 as well.
There is actually 4 games. ;)

And, no problem guys. Glad I could help!
meant all 4. my bad. Good games for being free though.

those 4 free games are sweet with gravity guy being my least favorite. Great games.

A fps this week! On the phone! With multiplayer! fuck yeah!

Nice to see another DotW (Red Stripe deal, whatever they want to call it) but I don't get the love for Tiki Towers. It's definitely not for me.

I don't care much for Tiki Towers either. I think it's better than World of Goo, but it's still meh to me. But we just got free games, so it doesn't matter anyway.

Man, I can't believe you guys are hating on World of Goo! I absolutely love that game. Tiki Towers is the closest thing we have on WP. Not quite as good in my book, but I still had a lot of fun with it.

In other news, I tried the demo for Modern Combat 4 last night and the engine is really impressive. I'm not sold on the controls yet though. It made me feel like I needed an extra thumb. Usually in FPS you move, look, and shoot all at the same time. It felt awkward being able to only do two. I tried out the gyro controls and that made it pretty much unplayable. Maybe I just need more practice. I honestly have doubts about how fun the multiplayer would be given the control limitations. Plus, if they do add Bluetooth controller support in the future those players that have it are going to have a HUGE advantage.

Man, I almost bought Gravity Guy on a whim a couple days ago, good thing I didn't! Free games are awesome, but 4 free games you can get achievements in is amazing!

World of Goo has one of my favorite gaming soundtracks ever. However, the gameplay doesn't come naturally to me. I find Tiki Towers much easier to play.

About Modern Combat 4, try adjusting the look sensitivity down to minimal. This made the looking much smoother. You're right that you have to choose between only two actions at any given time. But you can take your left thumb off the virtual stick and just use it to look while your right thumb shoots. That's not always ideal but in certain situations and levels (like when you're riding on a jeep and just shooting), it's very useful.

Yeah, I can make the transition between running/looking and shooting/looking. It's just running/shooting isn't really viable since you have no aim control. Makes me think multiplayer would be difficult if you can't fend off your enemy while running for cover. Also strafing is my go-to move and it's pretty much useless since you will no longer be lined up with your target. I'm sure given enough practice I could get used to it, but right now it just feels unnatural. Not sure it is worth the $7 investment to find out.

Precisely why we need MOGA support. :)

Anyone ever have their friends list not show up when they go under the game tab on their phone? Some reason there isn't a Friends list tab showing for me. I tried turning my phone off and back on a few times and no luck.

Random question for everyone: I downloaded Monopoly a while back, but I've been hesitant to run it on my Win 8 HTC because I've seen some people have played it and mentioned it has frozen to never be played again. Has this happened to anyone? And I'm wondering if it might have happened to someone with a Win 7 phone, not a Win 8. Weird, huh?

That's got to be an uncommon occurrence. If there was a persistent compatibility problem, MS would just make the game unavailable on WP8 devices (as they've done with 20+ other games). Also, there's no harm in just booting the game up - either it works or it doesn't, but it's not going to brick your phone.

Cut the Rope Experiments now available

Sonic CD is the DOTW

If anyone wantsa put this crazy Onerunjunior guy in his place in the Sonic CD and Cut the Rope article comments, be my guest! Dude's density in ten cities.
kind of agreeing with others on the price being too high for the new Cut the Rope. Wonder how long itd take to drop to .99? if it even does. id like a new game but I dont know if its worth the extra $2.

Haha his idea that Windows Phone needs new IP is kind of crazy. Since when does new IP do well on mobile platforms? There's a reason there's 20 versions of Angry Birds.

Connect 4 is just awful. It WILL crash your phone horribly at one point or another. Some more than others. I had to do several hard resets during my playthrough of it to get the 200 GS. Very easy to complete, but takes a long time to grind out the 1000 games.

Trivial Pursuit is also a very easy completion, especially since you can pause the game and look up the answers if that's not above your moral high road.

Hmmm...that sucks about Connect 4. I can't even get it to start downloading, maybe this is a sign of things to come with that game.

Sorry guys, I meant to say Risk. All those board games get my wires crossed. And yes, I recommend passing on Connect Four as well.

Damn, I was really hoping for Trivial Pursuit. Couldn't care less about Risk or Connect 4.

As for Greed City...I'm too tired to read the whole article right now, but it looks like a Foursquare/QONQR crossover. I'd check it out if it were for WP7, but I guess I'll just have to stick with QONQR even though I've unlocked almost everything and I control everything within a 30-mile radius.
Also, Windows Phone 8 users:

Welcome to Greed City, a WP8 location-based game

Please grab the game (it's free) and follow me within the game. Hope ya like it.
I tried Greed City a while back and didn't find it very enjoyable. It didn't really seem much like a game, as there wasn't a whole lot to do. I found Qonqr to be much better, probably in part because of the larger player base. Though I am quickly tiring of that too. Location based games like that get repetitive very quickly, so once you level up enough they are pretty boring.
maybe if it had achievements. gotta save as much memory as I can. plus Im sure this east s alot of data with the location based stuff. I unfortunately no longer have unlimited data.
Well it is only 2 MB, so hopefully you're not that strapped for storage. But you mention your data allotment; do you not have access to Wi-Fi?

I agree with Feeni that the game has lots of room for improvement, but I gave the devs tons of suggestions that will make it into the next two updates. The game should really open up as those additions and changes roll out.

When the heck are you eligible for an upgrade, good brotha?
Cut The Rope Experiments has dropped to $0.99

Was just coming to post that. That was fast. I feel sorry for those that paid full price.
