-Purpose of Thread-
This thread will be used for posting limited-time availability custom video game inspired shirts (that was a mouthful). There are a lot of websites that sell video game inspired tshirts, but this thread will only be used to alert CAGs to shirts that are available for a limited time and/or at a special price.

Please post a link to whatever video game shirt you come across and include the game that inspired it (like "Mario"), the price if it isn't indicated in the website description below, and if possible a pic of the shirt (use spoiler for the pic to speed up page loading time).

Visit teemagnet.com for tracking the shirt of the day across multiple websites.

-Sizing Info-

Some people like to get shirts from online stores one size larger than the shirts they normally buy (like if you usually wear medium, buy large) since they can shrink a bit after the first wash. Unfortunately it's hard to come up with a general rule as sites seem to change shirt brands at any time.

Always look at the site's sizing chart before making a purchase. It may even give you a hint if you should buy one size larger than normal. If in doubt, I go one size bigger and shrink as necessary. Imho a slightly bigger shirt looks better than wearing a slightly small one.
Can you buy shirts from the Graveyard section on riptapparel? There's a vague hint about it on their FAQ - anyone have experience with this previously? Would LOVE the Scott Pilgrim/Jet Grind one.
You mean this one...http://www.redbubble.com/people/meleeninja/works/8703536-scott-radio

It looks like you can order past Ript tees (YAY! :bouncy:) but um...prepare to cough up some change since they go up to $20+ Any past shirts from the Graveyard section are available to purchase, you just have to look for the creator's name.
Why would Han want to shoot Chewy? I get that Chewy looks more like DK, but it should be Vader or someone so it makes some sense.
Pretty sure if Chewie went AWOL and kidnapped Leia, Han would shoot him in a heartbeat.

THIS. that shirt is fucking awesome.

^ That's amusing. I love how the marshmallows look, I'd buy it if Thor didn't look like a dirty hippy on it.

LOL @ winking Captain America marshmallow xD
It's Thorrio's cereal like Kellogg's. Since you wouldn't be able to getaway with Thor's cereal.
yeah, but it is clearly a play on Cheerios, which doesn't have an apostrophe.

We could really go back on this all day. On this shirt, Thorrio is the name of the character (since Thor would have been copyright infringement). Cheerio is not the name of anyone linked to Cheerios as far as I know, so there should be no apostrope since no ownership is implied. Thorrio's implies that this copyright-skirting Thorrio owns this cereal.

That Link/Zelda shirt has been in print for quite some time, although at a higher price. The artist has had a couple of shirts on Shirt Punch and you can usually buy several designs (including that one) on his site.

Nice try, but it's not a very solid argument. First of all, I don't think copyright had anything to do with the design. Even if they had written consent to use the name Thor as much as they want to (which I don't think would be required), they wouldn't have used it. The cereal would be called Honey Nut Thors, which doesn't make sense because it is clearly supposed to be a parody of both Thor and Cheerios. Cheerios is a very common name to parody, as seen with products like Urkel-Os, Tearios, etc.

And being an obvious parody of Cheerios, the apostrophe doesn't make sense because the real cereal doesn't imply some kind of ownership by a character named Cheerio. It's also a bit awkward if you think about it. I mean, if a guy named John has his own cereal, calling it John's just sounds...off, especially when a Honey Nut version comes out. The whole thing is similar to Oreo O's, which also incorrectly use an apostrophe. Unless you want to argue that the apostrophe belongs there because the cereal belongs to Oreo O.

Besides, the designer of the t-shirt managed to misspell "mallow" (considering the context, I doubt it's intentional), so it's not terribly surprising that they would use improper punctuation as well. It's still an awesome shirt; it just has a couple of errors.

EDIT: Just to clarify, I didn't mean "Nice try" in a sarcastic or arrogant way. I just realized that it might come off that way, which isn't my intent. I'm here to play nice, I promise.

Agreed with everything you said except this. Use of an apostrophe after a single letter is optional and usually used for disambiguation. e.g. A's, not As (which looks like another word), and I's not Is. Os isn't a word (that I know of), but many people just extend the use to any letter.

Yeah, fair enough. I think the apostrophe should be omitted in that particular case, but I do get where you're coming from.

And in an effort to hopefully keep the thread on-topic...
If anyone is a South Park and/or Ghostbusters fan, a buddy of mine has a shirt that will be on Teefury in the near future. I can't stand South Park, but I still think it's a pretty cool shirt. It's not really gaming-related, so I'll just post a link:
Punctuation seems to be in order so I'm posting.
Oh, you!
Why isn't Tanga added to the list?
Probably because their shirts aren't very good. I mean, they're not necessarily bad, but they're generic and unoriginal (moreso than what I think is acceptable). I've seen a hundred slight variations of those shirts in the types of catalogs that sell "Whof Arted?" and "5 out 4 people can't do fractions" t-shirts.

One site I'm surprised to not see on here, however, is Threadless. Their quality has gone down and their stuff isn't quite as nerdy, but they have some decent gaming-related shirts available.

A little late, but the new Teefury shirt:

Huuuge Lovecraft fan and would jump on this if this shirt was up tomorrow and not today. Not totally gaming related, but way too awesome to not share.

Not for sale at the moment, but hopefully will be soon--If anyone's got a spare moment to vote at Woot I'd really appreciate it--thanks!!!

I think most of us can relate :p
