I don't think MvC1 would be worth that IMO, but Earthbound is.

$65 for a re-sealed copy of Xena for the N64 at a pawn shop in 2004. Never bothered to step foot in that place again.

Honorable mention: A few years ago, I spotted a copy of Go! Go! Hypergrind for the Gamecube at Wherehouse for $45.99. It was going for $8.99 at GameStop at the time.
I visit a lot of Deal of the Day websites (sites like Woot! and others I find on dodtracker.com), and I used to frequently see this one:

$349.99 Nintendo Wii + 5 free games (Golf, Tennis, Bowling, Boxing and Baseball)

Nice.
to add to that

pretty much anyone who has bought a wii off ebay in the past 2 years...

If anybody knows what La Curacao store is, you know about their ridiculous game bundles prices. They advertise the game systems in their flayer at the regular price, but once you arrive at the store they only sell the system as a bundle with horrible games and high prices ranging from $500 - $700 for PS3 and XBox360 bundles.

Used Wave Race Blue Storm at FYE- $50

The sad part is that I didn't see this when the Gamecube first came out, I saw this yesterday.

I was digging through the XBox/GC games at FYE for the 75% thing and I saw the same kind of stuff. Ninja Gaiden Black for $55? yeahhhhhhh right.
The PS2 launch bundles from BuyRiteGames. Only available in huge bundles with a huge markup as well.
Ulgh, good riddance to Buy Rite. I piss on their grave.

The old PS1 memory cards. They were like $20 to hold what, 15 "blocks" on info? A lot of games took up four or five blocks, some sports games even took the whole card. Imagine having to buy another $20 card for each sport, horrible deal.

To me that's not that bad of a deal, those are few and far between, and those two games are some of the best in the series and don't forget that's new factory sealed as well.

Worst deals for me are the Xbox live originals. Those games are dirt cheap if you hit up any local Eb games or Gamestop. You can get them usually for half of what Microsoft wants you to pay to download them and take up HD space.

We get ads in the Tuesday mail and one of them is from a rent to own place. You can pay $92 a month for 12 months and own a Wii. It's $70 a month for an XBox for 12 months. I just hope to God no one takes them up on those offers.

My local flea market this chinesse lady sells N64 games, been selling them since the N64 first came out, apparently she still thinks it just came out lol...old sports games for like 30$ lol...mario and stuff is just outrageous...lol

im sure everyone here knows that FYE likes to hold onto their games for however long they want to. i dont believe they have price protection from the three console manufacturers so they dont do any drops for their games say if odin sphere becomes greatest hits, almost every FYE would still have it at $49.99.

almost a year ago, i remember going from FYE to FYE trying to take advantage of the 25% + 20% trade in value for any games. i remember trying to find any full priced games on their PS2 sections that are on clearance at TRU. i found once which was Arc of Lad End of Darkness for the Ps2, still priced at $49.99 at FYE i even had them scan it to confirm. so i head over to TRU to buy the $5 copy and rushed back to the FYE to trade it in. when i try to trade it the girl told me the trade in value is $1! i tried to reason with her and explain to her that they sell the very same game for $49.99 new and sealed and a used copy for $34 and yet they only wanted to give me $1 for it?! i was gamestoped at that FYE. i ended up trading it anyways since they gave me nearly $22 for Samurai Champloo (bought it for $5 at TRU). i had an extra copy of arc of lad thinking i'd do it at another FYE but after that experience i just sold it to a cag for nearly price+shipping.

another practice i hated about FYE is the fact that they like to open their games and sold them for full price. i recently was at an FYE where they had the entire wall of games that are opened but sold at retail. well maybe except for the gba and nds stuff. almost all the deals from them are YMMV

I noticed a lot of gutted games at FYE as well. Normally I wouldn't buy those gutted games but since it was XBox and Gamecube at 75% off, I didn't mind a gutted copy of Unreal 2 for XBox for $2.50, especially when I saw a $5 rebate printed out for it!

i would have been all over Unreal 2 but they had them priced today at $20 so $5 after the 75%. they had about 5 copies.. i would have had a field day.

Gah, I know I have you beat, but I can't remember which Rent To Own place it was.

Each system though was into the thousands when you did the math, and it was a period of 36-48 months before you owned it.

Also, the worst deal I ever made myself was buying at Wii at MSRP. I keed, I keed.

Buying a Wii at MSRP isn't necessarily a bad deal as at some points used Wii's were selling for more than MSRP, so if you bought one at launch and didn't like it at least you could have sold it for more than what you paid, even if it was used.

My friend bought A Copy at the videotron near his house for 19.99-20%=14.99.This was during boxing week
I was at a thrift store last night... they had 2 gamecubes with controllers, but no games for $60 each. I told the guy you can get a refurbished one at gamestop for only $25.
I saw these at the consignment store in my town, before it closed up. They had one in for $60 with the cables but no controllers and a few games seperate for $10 each. Then they got another in for $75 with two controllers and the cables. This was when they were $30 at GS, as I had to stop my sister from buying the $60 one.

Oh, and both were sold within a month or so.

The local West Coast Video still has some outdated 360 sports games for like $30+... used. Although, they did seem to have marked almost all of their XBox titles down to $5, finally.

EDIT: Almost forgot an insane one... In fye's used DVD section, which can be downright ridiculous... (I once picked my sister up a used Bob Hope DVD set for $4.99, only to find it new for $3.99) I found a copy of Bruce Lee And Kung Fu Mania... for $23.99. Now mind you, I owned the exact same DVD, which I bought for $3.99 across the highway from that mall at the Value City (this was like '02 or '03, a little before $1 DVDs really existed.) I ended up lending it to a friend who joked about seeing what they'd give him for trade in on it. Then, I ended up giving it to him as I picked it up in a 4 DVD "Bruce Lee" box set from Ollie's (local Big Lot's type chain) for $4.99.

Here's the amazon link for it... http://www.amazon.com/Bruce-Lee-Kung-Fu-Mania/dp/B00005OSKC. Everytime I go in, I end up finding it and laughing. If I ever hit the lottery, I plan to buy it and frame it.
