Would you do this for a PS3...

I think the better question is, what would you NOT do for $2000? Where do YOU draw the line? Frankly, I would say no when "insertion" is brought into the equation.
Say there is something you don't want to do, beyond the homophobic aspect of this topic or whatever. It's just one of those things you would be willing to take a stand on that you wouldn't do.

At what point (or price...lol) does it become okay to not stand your ground and accept doing something you were against? Does giving in and not standing the ground you were originally willing to stand simply mean you do have a "price" (i.e. when does it become more about the price than the principal)?
Why should I be making a stand against kissing a guy? If your against gays (you asshole) then it's a different story, but otherwise why not for $600+?

Hell yeah, I would be hesitant but hell yeah. That is nothing! Good story to tell the grand kids too.

"I wanna hear the story of when you kissed another guy Grampa!"

I'd do it. I mean, what's a kiss? Big deal! Of course the wife would have to approve; if she ever accused me of cheating, it better not be with a dude. ;)

This isn't from experience, but I'm pretty sure such a thing wouldn't turn you gay (big shocker to some, I know).

Do the math:

2 seconds = $600 :: 1 hour = $1,080,000

$1M an hour is a wage no one should pass on.

PenguinMaster,
I stated..."Say there is something you don't want to do, beyond the homophobic aspect of this topic or whatever."

That means OUTSIDE of aspects dealing with homophobia. It could be taking a stand on not eating grapes picked my migrant farmers, not shopping at Wal-Mart due to their business practices, or ANYTHING else completely not related to subject matter involving any aspects of homophobia.

You should take care to read more closely what people write. Making assumptions and calling someone an asshole (for something you didn't get or pay attention to in the first place) makes you seem like the asshole.

This is a tough one. If it was just kiss a dude for 2 seconds and no one would know, yeah, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

That being said, being ragged by my friends everytime they come over to play the PS3 would get old in a hurry. There is definitely a dollar amount that I do this for, but since I don't think I could bring myself to sell it if I got it, and I couldn't spend $600 on it, I'm really getting about a $300 item here.

Then again, if I could force myself to sell it, wait for a price drop, and repurchase, it's far more doable.

The real question is, was it a 20Gb or 60Gb? Without that extra 40Gb, I just don't know if it's worth it...

Just kidding, I'd do it for either. Yeah, I wouldn't enjoy it, but I bet $2000 would make me feel a lot better.

That's when you institute the "Shut up about the kiss or get your own damn PS3" policy at your house. Or I'd make my friends kiss each other before I'd let them play my PS3.

I didn't call you an asshole, I called homophobics assholes. And I'm just wondering why anyone would be making a stand against kissing a guy unless they are homophobic assholes.

High five!

Kiss a guy for 2 seconds for a PS3? That's nothing. Figures that it's Texas radio; only there would it be considered such a major challenge.
