WWE Legends of Wrestlemania - Out now! Buy it or the Warrior will lecture you!

So was reading IGN's article on wrestlers in movies and it made me wonder - are there any parts to create a Jesse Ventura in the game? I know he never wrestled in one, but was a commentator for quite a few.

This game has cool concepts, but feels like a cheap cash-in. I love the smackdown 2009 import feature though...orton's chain finisher is great to "kill" legends ;)

It's not that bad. I had to do it for 09.

It takes all of 2 seconds to do. So not really that much of a problem. It takes longer to go through the menus to change the wrestlers theme in game then it does to make a playlist for each theme.

2 seconds? It took me a lot longer trying to add some songs for svr09 when i had it.

All I had to do was play the song through the Xbox, and then hit the save as new playlist option. Then name the playlist HHHTheme or whatever and that was all. Two seconds.

How is everyone getting the mp3s onto the XBox, do you need to burn a cd and then rerip it on the XBox or is there an easier way?

Flash drive should work.

No. It only copies from CD-Rs burned as audio cd's. It will read from a flash drive but will not copy from a flash drive. Same thing with MP3 data discs. It'll read from them but will not copy from them.

Thanks. Thats what I thought. I was hoping maybe there was some other workaround that turned up lately. Oh well, not like cdrs cost anything these days:p

Nope. It's street dated, so retailers received it late last week or this morning. Should be in stock and for sale tomorrow morning.

It looks like you can get a free Best Of Wrestlemania 2 Disc DVD with it at Toys R Us so I guess I know where I will be picking it up since all the other bonuses have not been that good.

If anyone starts up a share the 360 SvR2009 disc for the gamesave, I would like to add my name to the list. I have seen some good CALs already using the SvR2009 formulas so I already know I will be running around as nWo Hollywood Hogan. Too bad I think the real nWo shirt got replaced with the dumb rKo shirt but it will be nice to have Hogan's real moveset in the game again.

I saw Gamestop has some sort of exclusive costume deal if you buy it there-- is that a one-time code, or is it something that will be on the internet that everybody will be able to share?

Probably works exactly like the Smackdown codes - it's not DLC, it's an unlockable outfit in the game that the code (likely MANIAHBKALT or something) unlocks.

I'll probably just (attempt) to snag it from Wal-Mart at midnight since I'll be there picking up Quantum of Solace anyway. Saves me a trip.

It's one of my two 'will buy on release' games for the month. It's not cheapass, but there's just a handful of games I pay full price for. I've given up pretending this isn't one of them. Heh.

Do finishing moves (even created ones) transfer over from smackdown vs raw 09 when importing characters?

yea well who didnt expect a mediocre review (tna impact scored higher :)

and yea the guy that reviewed it was the same annoying guy from the ign videos with fink. he sure seem excited then for the game lol

still picking it up...

I'm definitely still picking it up. I enjoy the controls a lot. Smackdown controls are cool, but LoWM matches seem to flow better. I'm a huge fan of QTE things, and the button reversals are awesome. I love the chain finishers, too. I can't tell you how many fucking times in wrestling games I tried to do the "punchpunchpunch-irish whip to the rope and THE BOOT~!.. off the ropes.. LEGDROP! 1! 2! 3!" finisher with Hogan, only to have them get up before the legdrop. To be able to perform it in its entirety, finally, is awesome.

The enjoyment is going to be heavily rested on how well you like the controls. IGN thinks it's just okay, but TeamXBox LOVES them.

//edit: Gamestop Alt Attire codes! Seems that they're case sensitive, so enter them EXACTLY as they are here.

And seriously.. "Buy it or the Warrior will lecture you"? You can come up with a better line than that.. I was half expecting "Or Hogan's 24 inch pythons are gonna run wild on you!"

I think a lecture from the Ultimate Warrior is the worst punishment one can dish upon someone.

Hogan's "pythons" would pop like a balloon.

Picked mine up about an hour ago, but I've been editing in custom themes, messing around with entrances, etc. I forgot to burn Undertaker's older theme on the CD-R, kicking myself for that..
When you play online does it play your custom theme?
cmon now.. i dont think this will EVER happen...
When you play online does it play your custom theme?
The only way for that to happen is if they stored your theme on their servers or if they allowed you to download themes off one person's hard drive so the other could hear it.

I mean, theoretically, in the future, I could see it happening if two people had the same theme with the same filename in the same playlist attached to the same CAW with the same name.. but other than that, I doubt it would ever happen. (The above isn't as difficult as it sounds. If I have mankind.mp3 saved as playlist "mankind" and my CAW is named Mankind, and my opponent has the same, then the song could play).

Now if you're talking about hearing your own custom theme, then yes, since it's from your hard drive, you hear it. But your opponent doesn't.

Fink's voicework in this game completely shits all over Lillian's in the SvR games. I wish he did entrance announcements for the SvR games.

//edit: Okay, Warrior vs. Hogan was the most fun I've had out of this game so far. I don't know if it's a regular part of the game, I really hope it is, but I irish whipped him to the ropes and we caught each other with a clothesline. We were both knocked down and a test of strength-ish meter popped up and I had to button mash to get up. Warrior crawled to the bottom rope, barely shook it.. lifted himself up a little, shook the middle rope.. stood up, shook the top rope, I hit his finisher and got the pin. Man, that was awesome.

Found something pretty cool...when you team Arn Anderson and Ric Flair together, they come out as the 4 Horsemen. Howard Finkel even announces them that way.

So far I am enjoying the game. Any old school wrestling fan should pick it up. The gameplay does grow on you.

After playing for about two hours, I officially like the LoWM play style better than SmackDown vs. Raw. The chain grapples are amazing, the way the tide of the match can turn in one move.. It's just fantastic.

i imported the svr roster and noticed cody rhodes was in it... he wasnt in svr right? (without dlc)

edit- i think he was..

anyways those moments scorch is talking about are the objectives... they are pretty cool.. especially the hogan warrior ones...

Scorch, thanks for the themes I'm downloading them now. Do you know a good resource for getting the best/most accurate themes for the wrestlers already in the game?

The double clothesline was an objective? Aw man. It was awesome. And yes, Cody Rhodes was in SvR. It was Ted DiBiase Jr. that wasn't. He was DLC in the PS3 version..

Nope @ sources for themes

There are some pretty epic LOL moments with Create-An-Entrance and a superstar of your choice. I went with Santino and discovered this hilarity. Sorry if the quality sucks, they were taken with my phone.
What are the 3 hidden match types? I believe one is steel cage. What are the other two?
Hell In A Cell and Iron Man are the other two.

I unlocked Cage and HiaC from the first two tiers of Legend Killer mode. Iron Man came after I won my first medal in RRR. I did the first Relive, Hogan vs Bundy.

Picked mine up today, too. The worst review I've seen is from IGN with a 6.5. However, I'm seeing a LOT of positive reviews thus far. Metacritic lists it as a 77 as of now.

I'll be testing it out here in a few, then for a while later tonight.
