As sad as it is, I think I had (and still have) most of the Hasbro set (I'm talking complete line) in a crate in my parent's attic back in Ohio. I had a grandmother who would religiously buy every single one she saw along with the WCW Galoob (?) figures. I've got a small handful of the LJN figures as well along with a couple of rings for both sets back home.

If I could, I would go back in time just to kick 10 year old me's ass so I didn't play with them. I used to have full on PPV's as a child, storylines and all. Nearly every figure is beat to hell from taking bodyslams for the bulk of my childhood.

I still have a few of mine left. Sadly i sold some to a friend when i stopped buying them as a kid. Wrestlers like Undertaker, Earthquake, Typhoon, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels. Wish i wouldnt have done that now.
 
I still have all mine left. My 11 year old brother played with them for a few years, but I think he's outgrown them now. My 4 year old nephew will probably start playing with them soon when he's at my house. I don't think I could stand to give them away though.

I do not really care about the match, I just always have liked using nWo Hogan in the games as he is my CAW of choice and it would have been cool to have a current gen console have that outfit. If the CAW is similar to SvR 2009 then hopefully I can create him since I saw a good one on the sites and it will be nice to have his actual move set in the game again.
 
I like the QTE events, but they seem like you're playing less of a wrestling match and more of a game of Simon. Reminds me far too much of the DS Smackdown games.
 
It probably wouldn't have been too difficult to go Harmonix style with 2009's DLC and let people import DLC wrestlers to use in Legends of WrestleMania. Though I even wonder if they'll release the SvR 2009 360 DLC before LoW releases, or ever.
 
I'm starting to get used to this new system. I had a back and forth battle against Andre last night, it was pretty awesome. I still wonder how everyone will play once you port them over to LoW. And I wonder if there's a feature that will let us book and play our dream Wrestlemania. Probably not.
 
I pretty much hated the demo. I'd rather have an updated version of WWF Wrestlefest. These giant character models that fill up the entire screen just don't do it for me.

Nah, not really. I can see how some people would like it, but I prefer smaller characters and faster action. I only played TNA Impact briefly at E3, but that seemed like a step in the right direction for my tastes.
 
Stupid exclusive-to-Gold demos.

If the cutoff is indeed Wrestlemania 12... why? It seems like 10 or 20 would be a better stopping point. Although if you do 20 it'll be tough to redo that main event...

I believe he said it didnt seem like there were any hidden wrestlers. But the WWE.com chat said there were unlockables, but didnt say if they were wrestlers, matches, alt attires, or what.

Well in the Ledesma interview, he said ALL of the wrestlers are unlocked from the start. And the only unlockables are attires, arenas, etc.

Ahh i didnt watch that one cos i hate that guy. There have been rumors for some time of hidden characters. (earthquake, steamboat, demolition, strike force, muraco, irs, fink, ? boxes) Perhaps THQ decided that it was better to not have them hidden, and use them as DLC.

Wouldn't surprise me. Why include unlockable characters when you can just charge for DLC later?

That gamingring guy updated his Twitter to say "Okay this is the final word from THQ. We have confirmed that custom soundtracks during entrances will be available for both the PS3 and 360," by the way.
 
I just played the demo again and i feel meh about it. And this game is my dream game come true. I was playing stone cold vs rock and near the end when he was level 3 and my power was down he kept doing the same 2 moves to me. It felt like i had no chance to even counter or attack him.

I dont really like the pin kickout meter. You are supposed to frantically press buttons to kick out, while timing it right so you release the buttons in the blue area. That just doesnt mix well. Not to mention if you over shoot the meter, someone could pin you within 5 seconds.

I dont like the QTE because you focus more on the buttons instead of seeing the moves being done. Really takes away from the game play/match.

Game looks good and everything, but im thinking ill wait till this game is about 30 bucks before i buy it.
 
I wonder if Slaughter will have his Iraqi-sympathizer attire for the Hogan/Slaughter match. I saw Sheik has those fatigues in the GS pre-order bonus alt attires, just wondering what other alts will be for the other wrestlers.
 
w.e ive been playing it more... after play LOW and WM21 the other day, i can definitely say its more "playable" than those games were..

like others have said though, it does feel like you are less in control at certain points.. and the finishers being stringed together is a tad weird.

regardless cant wait till its out

I enjoyed the demo for this a lot. I haven't watched wrestling in years, but I was a big fan of the WWF and WCW as a kid, so this one will stay on my radar.

That actually just knocked it from a buy to a rental for me. I was holding out hope for Demolition..

//edit: Does it really splice together real footage when you do in-game objectives like that? If it does, that's an awesome touch. I hope it's like that throughout the game.

I think the spliced footage in the gameplay was for trailer purposes.
It's weird that the hell in a cell in LoW is better than the one in SvR.

Probably because this is a different team from yukes, not the same that make SVR games.
 
I enjoyed the demo. It was probably never a buy but it is definately still a rent that I plan on playing pretty heavily.

The beefed up character models aren't as distracting as I thought they would be.
 
It's the little things, like the old Royal Rumble logo, that make me want this game. It's the big things, like the gameplay, that make me iffy on buying it.

2. Taker has an alternate attire.. Warrior does not

When you import SvR2009 wrestlers, it doesn't look like the belts come with them

Once you throw someone off the Cell, It doesn't look like you can go back up. Also, there are entrances during the Cell and Cage matches.

All Hell in the Cell matches will start on top of the Cell. Not just in the Relive mode.

Well, at least the wrestlers not coming over isn't a big loss for SvR09. There's only about 10 of them no longer signed, none of which are a huge loss... except one. I mean, how do you have a Legends of Wrestlemania game without Bob Holly? It's a travesty. Heh.

... and I don't like that HITC matches *all* start on top. Wasn't there another game that did that a while back? Regardless, yeah, not a fan.

That Royal Rumble looks pretty good actually...maybe I'll add this one to my wish list for when I find it cheap.
 
ill admit i could care less about gameplay at this point... the presentation alone has me soooo pumped....all the video footage plus seeing the warrior mask pyro rocks.

The rumble entrances seem generic though.. but the match looks cool
