Did any of you guys see the episode where they interview some people that made Sly Cooper 2? I used to love the show, but Adam was acting so retarded, he's trying too hard to be funny now....what do you guys think?I think Judgement Day is the best game show now:)

Can a video game show ever work...It seems like the only thing geeks hate more than people pretending like they are geeks, is people who are bigger geeks than them. Im not sure that made sense, but the debates are making me more stupid.

Hey atleast the guys on Judgement Day actually play....Morgan Webb can barely hold the controller....i miss the Extended Play days when Sessler was less of a jackass and was serious about explaining the games.

Adam is kind of a geek, but he doesn't really bother me though. I watch X-Play for one reason and one reason alone, Morgan Webb; she is sooo fine!

I hate CHEAT,the guy sounds annoying....plus if you play so many games that you need to go to a show for cheats, you should realize something.

i liked the terminator review

"though most of the game is in the 3rd person, theres an option to see the world through the eyes of a rebuilt terminator, the screen turns red and you target systematically"

and NO clip of this veiw was show while or after he was saying that!

is the show done by high school kids?

How to make a great video game show:

-Get 4 ACTUAL video game players (ie. the student interns you force to make photo copies).

-Show NOTHING but the footage of the games as they're played by said interns.

-At the end of each 5 minute display of game footage show what system the game is for, the developer or game maker if you want to be nice and the MSRP.

-Call it a freaking DAY.

I would say Icons, The Screen Savers and Starcade are good shows as well as Cinematech. One thing i dont understand is all these guys just going crazy and get off everytime they see these chick hosts, I understand they are hot but if you think you have a chance then I think you took the wrong pill, I think cheapyD is the only one who would stand a chance.

Icons is a great show . . . nice little documentaries on games, companies, designers or trends.

Judgement Day is awful . . . really useless.

Xplay is a little better . . . and if you go to the Tech TV website, you find that the text of the show reads pretty much like a magazine review. Morgan Webb is OK, but I agree that Extended Play was a much better show.
Tallarico needs to be mauled by an army of retarded, rabid monkeys.
I think if they are retarded, they won't do a good enough job of horribly maiming him. We want fully functionaly rabid monkeys. Maybe with some personality disorders.

Starcade was an arcade tv show in 1983 that had two kids play each other in arcade games. They usually had nice prizes like an actual arcade game. They show the reruns on G4techtv.

I only watch cinematech now. I see more gameplay footage on that show then I do on the "review" shows. The bonus is that I don't have to listen or see those retarded hosts they always seem to find.

It was at it’s best when it was GameSpot TV back when the network first started as ZDTV. Although it was basically a regurgitation of GameSpot reviews it was less annoying than later incarnations.

I actually met Adam Sessler when Tech Tv came to Pasadena during the Digital Digs Roadshow deal and he was actually a fairly cool guy. That being said, on the show he acts like a complete and total idiot. I too liked Adam on Extended Play much better becuase he wasn't able to be as goofy when he was on his own. Now that he has someone playing "the straight man", he really goes overboard with the silly antics and spastic behavior. Now I don't know if that's the producers of the show telling him to really 'tard it up, or if it's his own idea that audiences who enjoy videogames must also enjoy watching the mentally handicapped. Either way it's really starting to work my last good nerve. ](*,)

Now Morgan on the other hand is a different story. I also had the pleasure of meating her in Pasadena, and she was rather odd. She didn't say an f'n word to me and I found her to be quite stand-offish and a little rude. I don't know if it was because she was fending off marriage proposals from uber-dorks all day, but I was very unimpressed with her attitude. That being said, I know that she may be bright and somewhat of a PC/Windows geek, but it's obvious that she's more or less clueless about video games in general. She's on the show so that young boys will watch it with the high hopes of seeing a little boob. While I appreciate the eye candy, I think the show was better without her.

I think Kate Botello was better than Morgan Webb by far.

Adam Sessler REALLY needed to calm down like 4 years ago. He is just too excited. I would have preferred if someone like Martin Seargeant could have been on the game show.
I'm surprised there has been no flaming for the title of this topic, knock on wood.
I create flame proof topics, lol jk...I think it's because we can all agree adam sessler acts like an idiot, and we used to love him on Extended Play because he was serious and actually explained the games.

I think video game review shows CAN work, in fact let me remind of one that did- Dave and Steve's Video Game Explosion!

Video Power is hands down the greatest show related to video games ever made.

You got to see new games being played then you got to see all our dreams of running around sticking video games to your velcroed suit. Nothing better.

I used to watch XPlay on TechTV back in the "cool" Adam Sessler days.

I've gotta see the spastic Adam Sessler! Anyone have a video of him as his most spaz-tastic

If they could meld XPlay and Cinematech together, I think it would solve everyone's problems.

I personally like both of the shows. Adam does tend to get a bit annoying. He's the host of a video game review show...how suave do expect him to be? 8)
Cinematech is a pretty good show. No rambling idiots, just game footage.
With the game's original music replaced by techno beats.

I like Judgement Day - I think it's hilarious. Yeah Tommy is a jackass, but I don't take him seriously. They seem to give better info on the games than X-Play does.

Adam Sessler just pisses me off. I can't even watch that show anymore.

Well, I just assumed it happened, since the subject said it was officially gay. I didn't bother reading through the actual details because I'm not 100% confident about my sexuality.

I dunno I watch XPlay but Adam really annoys me. Best line though was when they moved to the new studio and they got an email asking if they were still going to suck, Morgan just replies "yes we are still going to suck" (the part she left out was) "...as long as Adam stays on the show." Screen Savers (while not really a video game show) is just about the best thing on G4 Tech TV.

Adam acts the way he does bcause all he thinks about during the damn show is shooting his....MegaElixer.... all over Webb's face. It's like he's fine until she shows up, then he goes into "Gotta impress with the 'I'm so dumb I'm cute' routine".

Man, I have to agree with Casey. JD in particular is a show aimed at the 13 and below crowd. I'd appreciate a review show if it were aimed at adults and treated the audience with some intellectual respect.

Last week I saw the dark haired dude on JD fart when asked how he felt about a bomberman game. I should never feel embarrassed to watch a review show.
EVERY video game review show is stupid.

The only video game show worth watching is Icons.
Did he do it WHILE he was dicussing the game, or in singular response to the question, because I find the notion of:
"So, what do YOU think about this awesome game?"
Other Guy:"......"*BRAAAPPPPPPP*

To be potentially humorous.
tommy tallarico needs to be castrated.
I'm not reading any more of this thread, but I just wanted to chime in in full agreement with this statement.

I found X-Play's total mockery of DDR Extreme quite funny. Who's buying that? Wait.....please don't answer!!!

The only shows I like on G4TechTV is Icons and Unscrewed. I havn't watched the Screensavers for a while, but when I did they had some new host that I guess replaced Pat, and he was very, very annoying, although Pat could of had that episode off and that guy was just filling in for him.

On Judgement Day Victor is pretty good, but ever since Tallarico gave Grabbed by the Ghoulies a 9.5 I stopped watching it (by the way gamerankings.com score for that one was 71%)

Pat's gone from ScreenSavers. Just a year ago they had Pat and Leo and the guy that went to Unscrewed (Martin) was also on all the time. Show rocked back then. Now they have the two new guys. Kevin and whats-his-name. I still watch it, though.

And Starcade can be pretty fun to watch. My favorite show was one with an upper 20s guy vs. a kid maybe age 7. I mean it was hilarious. The kid was less than half the height of the grown man he was up against. And the kid actually won. That must have been a fun next day at work. Not only are you on a game show playing video games, but you lost to a 7 year old :D

Screensavers is great for finding out about cool new stuff, like these guys who used an enhanced Bluetooth antenna so they could snoop onto people's phones a mile away and view their contacts list
