Bought UMvC3 for now. Have to try out the new characters to see what I want to do about costumes. Right now I can get away with 2 of the small packs that cover all the characters I mainly used in the original release.

Going to wait til the end of the day on the Borderlands DLCs and decide what to do there. Probably will get UVHM2 at the bare minimum, maybe the Halloween Headhunter. Not interested in Krieg. Just have to decide if I want to try and wait for a cheap GOTY version for the base DLCs. I wish they were on sale individually so I could just grab the Tiny Tina DLC.

Australia gets screwed again on Game on Demand prices so was thinking of getting Borderlands 2 on the US account.

Can I be banned for this?

Also with Terraria on Wednesday now maybe Wednesday will be an Arcade game day, as it would be weird to have that by itself.

Wondering this as well. I mean we are paying for them and not using VPN's. I have 600MSP floating in international waters and I want to spend them and bring my account home.

Also Terraria could have its own day. Remember this http://majornelson.com/2012/12/22/countdown-to-2013-daily-deal-day-5-tony-hawk-ps-hd-half-off/

I was like wtf.

Talking my friends into buying Ultimate MvC 3 so we can have one last run with it! At that price, I got the game, value pack, and two DLC characters. Still under $15.

I wish I could keep the indent code, but CAG 3.0 keeps adding line breaks above each indent code [with every edit] and it's just a headache to delete those every time. I'll add in prices now.

A letdown so far. Also some GoD titles are overpriced in Europe, like Bioshock Infinite and Borderlands 2. For OP interest or not: FIFA14 costs 34,99€ in Europe.

BUT I just dont care: i'm enjoying like a kid with Dragon's dogma and I'd like to thank those who praised the game with so passion weeks ago in this thread, who made me buy an unknown game a little above my pricetag. Honestly thank you, this game is SO amazing.

What are the chances of having Forza Horizon Rally DLC, Motocross Madness DLC, Shadow Complex, Bastion, Trials Evolution, Brothers, Braid, Super Meat Boy and Fez? These are the only titles I am interested atm, so it would be nice to have some of these games 75% off
i have NEVER seen forza horizon rally on sale... ever... :(

Just tried to buy via Paypal on the website..it does work..holiday traveling is possible now lol (except for the fact that converted points would be cheaper instead of charging me directly hum)

couldn't pass up all the 99 cent games... even if i will never play them... picked up MvC2 also

Converted points don't get charged tax.
i got charged tax right after the conversion i had $60 and was charged tax (essentially i was double taxed) for the games i bought...

maybe they fixed it now idk

x.x perhaps I need a hiatus from cag to work on cutting down my backlog instead of building it beyond my capability to play it all.. you people and your sales!!!

Which packs are included in the Value pack for MvC3? Do you need all the other packs to get everything?
The Value Pack includes all of the costume packs (except Magneto), even the one pack that is for the vanilla game. The only DLC necessary to buy are Jill, Shuma, and the Value Pack.

Some quick recommendation questions:

I played the first Borderlands and had fun with it while it lasted, but I'm more of a single player gamer (none of my friends have the Borderlands games).  Is the 2nd one better for single player or is it more of the same?

Also, I've never played a MvC game.  Are they worth it?  If so, is one worth getting over the other?  I'll probably play a little online but mainly play single player.

Thanks fellas.

Borderlands 2 is better than 1 in every way. I played through the original alone and loved it. Initially I played through 2 alone and had a lot of fun (more than the 1st one). I then played a ton of 2 with other people and had a blast. $7.50 for a game with that much content is a steal whether you plan to play with others or not.

If anything, B2 is a little more focused on co-op play than B1 was. But it's a great game, lots of improvements from B1 and a great experience alone or in a group. You can always just let some randoms into your game if you don't have any friends to play with.

BL2 is a fun game (and well worth this price) but be prepared to curse at the screen a lot. Still OP enemies that one-hit you and it's INCREDIBLY STUPID that you lose money everytime you die! They did somewhat fix the ammo issue but the money issue still bugged me a lot.

Err, I don't see a problem with this. You lost money when dying in Borderlands 1 as well. It provides some incentive not to die. :)

It would be nice if there was an easy way to see which games are for Kinect - maybe a purple "Kinect" tag next to them or something.

and it was stupid in the first one too. I've already died and lost all my level progress, taking money on top of that is completely unnecessary.
I don't recall ever losing any level progress when dying in either Borderlands game. As for money, both games always supplied more money than I ever cared to use. I'd die, lose 50K, and not be bothered because I only had to play another 10min (if that) to gain it back.

Sorry, poor choice of words. Meant to say checkpoint process (I'd have to start at the beginning of a mission again in most cases).

CAG isn't adding the line breaks above the indents, the line breaks need to be added for the indents to take effect on the specific lines, otherwise the entire post gets affected by the indent. (Then there's also the question of why bulleted lists aren't being used.) It's not really a problem to deal with them, and if it does require a little extra effort for some people that are making edits, it's worth it for the better readability.

I played through the entire game and I dont believe I ever cursed at the screen. You wont get killed in one hit unless you are extremely under leveled and if you are the game gives you more than enough side quests to gain XP. The losing money thing was annoying at first but after playing long enough you realize its no biggie if you lose money when you die since you can make it up pretty quick.

Borderlands 2 was my GOTY last year and I still stand by that decision since it was worth it at full price.

MVC games are about doing crazy combos. Some players can kill at least 2 characters in one combo. I can only do nice combos in KI, so I suck at combo heavy games like this one. It could still be fun playing with friends.

I say go for Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 I found it to be incredibly fun and it has more replay value than MvC2. I loved MvC2 on PS2 but it just doesnt hold up as well as remembered it even though the roster in MvC2 is amazing.

Coop play is what ruined BL2 for me. But perhaps because I was always the one who hadn't already played the level. They know what to do, where to go, how to do it, and you just follow along. They might start out trying to let you experience the game, but before long it just turns into following along at their heels. Gets pretty boring. It also doesn't help that since they've already played the level they'll tend to chatter while you might want to hear the dialogue in the game. Since this went free on PS+ I"m going to play through it solo and see if that's more fun. I'm sure that coop is a blast if you've already played the levels, but it didn't work for me at all as a 1st play through.

It's much more fun to play through the game with a friend than to play online with randoms. That solves all of those problems. In fact I just gave a friend the BL2 GOTY for Christmas so we can do just that. :)

My cousin and I played BL2 all the way to like level 50. Beat the Pirate DLC as well. It was definitely a blast but we stopped playing because we kept getting shitty ass loot towards the end. I kept reading about people getting epic Orange guns that do unholy amounts of damage and here we are getting the same shit over and over.

You mean so that you can ruin for him. ;) Just kidding. But seriously, I *was* playing with friends (mostly). They mean well, but before long they start doing everything quickly.

To get the amazing loot, you need to play on a higher difficulty or farm certain bosses.

Nope, bought it myself at the same time. I haven't played it yet.

Typically I'll play multiple games at once so I don't get ahead of my buddy in the multiplayer game we are playing. For example, currently I'm playing Resident Evil 4 when I play single player, but I'm also playing Lord of the Rings: War in the North with a friend.

 I've never cursed at the screen. Ever. This game is probably the most perfectly balanced game I've ever played. If you're dying constantly, you're either playing as the gawd-awful Zer0, or your build is horrendous. (Seriously, Zer0 sucks. If I join a game with 3 Zer0 characters, I' know I'm in for a looooonnnnggg reviving-fest. Playing with 4 Sirens is a thing of beauty! :)) You can hit up the Borderlands 2 threads for pointers on builds, if necessary. I hover between 80-99.99 million bucks, so dying isn't a big deal.

Not seeing it. There are checkpoints everywhere in this game and enemies don't respawn (immediately) like Dark Souls. :whistle2:k

Agree. Easily game of the year...in any year. :applause: Totally worth the $100 I paid at launch! ($60 base game + $30 DLC + tax)

You should definitely play solo first. Enjoy the dialogue, because there's sooooooo much comedy in this game! :) Hell, at this point, I can recite the entire game, line for line, from start to finish.

Yes, it sucks to play with others that have done the levels time and time again, but by the time you've got to UVHM and Level 80, things should be a cakewalk. I have a Maya and Axton at L80 that were done completely solo, and all others are somewhere between 35-60 that I somewhat power-leveled by playing co-op. I never use my L80 characters unless the rest of the team is just farming or leveling. My Axton can power-level others at the Biker Bar in mere minutes.

Those orange, pearl, legendary, OP guns you're so envious of? In UVHM, most (not all, see below) become essentially worthless in 2-3 levels. Many legendaries aren't even that great to begin with. I played from 50-72 solo with nothing more than a L50 Sand Hawk (blue), a L50 Bee shield (orange), a Magic Missle (purple), and a L50 Unkempt Harold (orange) with both Axton and Maya. All of these are incredibly easy to obtain, just by playing the DLCs. [Hawk = Pirate's Booty, Bee/Missle = Dragon Keep, Harold = Badass Crater]

Now, I have a game save with 500+ weapons, class mods, relics, shields, grenades, etc in my backpack and still only use about 10 things combined. If you've got; Bee + Harold/Sand Hawk or Norfleet + Sham, Magic Missle, and a decent (not necessarily great) class mod and relic, you're set. The BL community is pretty good about sharing. I do drop parties all the time, as do many others. Still, despite being "the best stuff in the game,"95% of the things I'd drop isn't particularly useful, just fun to mess around with until you realize you don't need it.

Well, off to play the new Headhunter! Time to kill Santa! :D

Any Xbox One owners here or will likely get one this month, passing up these sales? I have a backlog and credits ready to use, but since I'm getting One soon nothing is really tempting me from the sale yet. Only thing I would buy is if Far Cry 3 is $9.99 though.

I'm confused about the Marvel thing, I'm pretty sure they just messed up the listings.

The Xmen and Spiderman games aren't going to be de-listed are they? I though it was just the Marvel Vs. Capcom games and DLC.
