I haven't been able to redeem codes since Friday on the website and on the 360, it says

The new campaign dlc for shadows of mordor is available right now, for those who like me, just picked up the season pass. I just installed it and played for about 10 minutes before my game froze. On the plus side, what I did play was really fun! They start you with a fully leveled character with all abilities and attributed unlocked. So if nothing else, you can just text some of them out and find out what you want for your main guy.

*Edit*. Duh, forgot to mention it's called Lord Of the Hunt.

Most should work fine. The problem is there's been so much consolidation and shake up that there aren't really any outstanding brands or stand out drives right now. This portable Seagate Expansion was one of the best rated and most frequently recommended but it's no longer available through Amazon themselves (as of a couple days ago) and the third parties are charging a significant mark up. This HGST Touro is really well rated and 7200 RPM but tops out at 1TB and the desktop version that's available in 2 and 4 TB have significantly worse ratings.

So your choices are probably going to come down to Seagate or Western Digital since the desktop (aka plug into the wall instead of powering off USB) since those are actually cheaper right now. Unless you want to get a dock for a standard 3.5" HDD which will be more expensive but more flexible long term.

The one I had been using was one of the portable drives but it started to short out so it went back and now I'm nearly full as well. Thinking I'll spend the extra few dollars for the WD (even though I hate the vertical orientation of it, so stupid for something that will instantly be broken forever if it gets knocked over while running) over the Seagate. Just have to decide what capacity to get. 2TB is probably the sweet spot but I've also wound up with way more digital content on both systems than I ever expected and the disc installs are so huge and will probably follow MCC's lead and have massive required downloads as well so they stay on a single disc. Don't want to be upgrading again in a couple years but also don't want to overbuy more than I'll ever use.

Well, everyone and there mother seems to be getting the external-powered Western Digital My Book (Amazon / NewEgg), which is pretty cheap.

Personally, I prefer having a portable hard drive - i.e. one that is powered by the device its connected to (such as the Xbox One). Kotaku seems to believe there are no power-related concerns by having the XB1 power the USB 3.0 connected portable hard drive, so I bought the Samsung Backup Plus (Amazon / NewEgg) and have loved it since I got it.

Personally, I would recommend going 4TB now so that you don't have storage space regrets later. But that's just me.

Need suggestion whether to go for Battlefield premium edition for Xbox one which is on sale for $30(50% off).

I am not good in FPS games have played COD ghosts and black ops 2 in Xbox 360  but didn't find interesting since i become easy target for enemy since i started both the game late and being a newbie.

That`s why i am hesitant whether to spend $30 for this game.

This HGST Touro is really well rated and 7200 RPM but tops out at 1TB and the desktop version that's available in 2 and 4 TB have significantly worse ratings.

So your choices are probably going to come down to Seagate or Western Digital since the desktop (aka plug into the wall instead of powering off USB) since those are actually cheaper right now. Unless you want to get a dock for a standard 3.5" HDD which will be more expensive but more flexible long term.

The one I had been using was one of the portable drives but it started to short out so it went back and now I'm nearly full as well. Thinking I'll spend the extra few dollars for the WD (even though I hate the vertical orientation of it, so stupid for something that will instantly be broken forever if it gets knocked over while running) over the Seagate. Just have to decide what capacity to get. 2TB is probably the sweet spot but I've also wound up with way more digital content on both systems than I ever expected and the disc installs are so huge and will probably follow MCC's lead and have massive required downloads as well so they stay on a single disc. Don't want to be upgrading again in a couple years but also don't want to overbuy more than I'll ever use.

that is exactly why i went ahead and kept my $130 Seagate 5TB Desktop Harddrive i got not long ago cause it seems to be only a $30 or less different between it and what the 2 and 3tb ones usually go on sale for. Rather not have to upgrade memory a 2nd time for awhile.

You will be an extremely easy target and die a lot. If that's going to cause you to lose interest then I would probably pass at that price.

I also started late (about 6 months ago), but felt this game was right up my alley because of it's squad-based aspect (i.e no need to be a Rambo with a 6 k/d).[/SIZE]

Don't do it. Battlefield is a lot more difficult of a game if you're not good at shooters. The COD series will hold your hand where BF you are at a disadvantage right from the start with pretty bad guns and no gear unlocked.

 
Really hoping for sales on Far Cry 4, Metro Redux, Sunset Overdrive (I've gone all digital this gen), and the Advanced Warfare season pass (highly unlikely)

 
Picked up costume quest 2 and thief. Should I pick up powerstar golf or kinect rivals? Sort of want shadow of mordor sp. But by the time I play it sp will probably be 50% off.

Kalimba is also out on X1. 2gb. says n/a on the price tho.

I grabbed Shadow Warrior at gstop for $22 preowned. Screw u msoft!

Does Halo Spartan Assault share saves with the other versions? I already have it for Win8 & WP.

Costume Quest 2 is the Daily Deal for Xbox One?  And only 33% off at that?

Wow, I guess I need to seriously check my expectations at the door for this sale: AAA release, that is not.

(Its a fine game, I'm sure.  But did I really just wait a day to see that the deal was....Costume Quest 2....at only 33% off...?)

Yeeessh. Those are really bad. Especially a Halloween themed game for just 33% off.

And I still wait for an Outlast deal... :(

If you aren't very good, I wouldn't suggest buying the game at this point, even at $30. The base game + Premium (giving you around 30 maps I think) is an amazing value, but it is a game where you get better as you rank up because you get access to better weapons. If you were good (and you may be), you could get by the first few ranks really quickly, especially because of all the XP bonuses handed out to you.

Yes, saves share across platforms. If you have all achievements on W8/WP, you'll pop about 1/3 on the title screen. You have to redo mission-specific achievements
