Was there lag in the game? The player causing the lag can get kicked out for it. Even if they aren't intentionally trying to lag the game.

From my experiences, Madden on X1 (25 and 15) should have no lag in most games. Compared to 360 Maddens having a guaranteed little bit of lag every game. You can tell how much delay there is easily when you kick. On X1, 90% of Madden games feel exactly like playing offline to me. Which is kind of nuts because 0% of any of the 360 Maddens (including 25) have ever felt like that to me.

Yeah, there was a lot of lag. That explains it then. Amusingly he(the annoying little squeaker) was blaming me for the lag.

It is fun the first time you play through the game. Creepy atmosphere and enemies. I'd recommend only playing at night and alone. I think the story takes 5-6 hours to complete the first time you play (without rushing).

After dying a few times at a part, it gets less scary because you start learning how enemies at the part move. A lot of horror games have this problem though, so it is nothing new to fans of the genre. Alien: Isolation is the only one that I can think of with an intelligent random enemy, which keeps you scared the whole time.

Especially when they have the Kinect feature enabled. I have to whisper when talking to stream and run out of the room for sneezes. Fibbage is also great to watch on Twitch because you can play along on your phone.
 
Speaking of Alien Isolation, the Last Survivor DLC shows up on the marketplace for $8 for me. On the PS store it's 4. What gives? I'm guessing it's a mistake but its been a few days now.
 
I finally got a chance to play Monaco. Didn't like it. Am I to assume you can't fight back after you are detected?  For me the audio kept messing up so the experience felt like I was playing a broken game.

I was also disappointed when I tried to play more of Charlie Murder. It didn't improve much since the demo and it did feel more like a weaker version of Scott Pilgrim. The music is good but combat got way too repetitive for me. Multiplayer session I tried had people refusing to advance to the next screen.

Thinking of trying Crysis or Left 4 Dead 2 next.

 
You can fight back in Monaco. I think the 2nd level you get a shotgun. I recommend playing a game for more than 5 minutes before judging it.

I just "rented" DA:O Ultimate Edition from Gamestop, and I'm about to install the DLC.

But any enemy you kill is revived by ANY other NPC is the game. By the 6th or 7th level killing enemies loses all feasibility. It's a stealth game. You aren't supposed to go around killing everyone when you're a burglar.

I was also disappointed when I tried to play more of Charlie Murder. It didn't improve much since the demo and it did feel more like a weaker version of Scott Pilgrim. The music is good but combat got way too repetitive for me. Multiplayer session I tried had people refusing to advance to the next screen.

Monaco allows you to fight back, but as has been pointed out, it becomes counter productive. Are you playing it alone? It would probably be best in a group because of the class options. The multiplayer seemed vacant when I was playing it a bit back, so you should probably ask for help here if you need it. I played through the first Act and was just bored of it, so I understand why people don't like it. Though I could definitely see it being very fun with friends who communicate and work together.

Charlie Murder was okay if I played it in short bursts. Playing it too long made it feel repetitive, like you said. Fun at first, but then it just felt redundant. Unfortunately, I broke off from playing it, much like Dead Island, and just forgot to go back to it.

 
Tried Darksiders 2...The artwork really reminds me of a super polished World of Warcraft, which I kinda like. Hate the wall climbing, beam jumping aspect, but otherwise I'm liking it, which is a surprise since I didn't care for the first one at all.

There was a comment from 343 about how they were surprised there was so much talk from fans about where's ODST and Reach that they noticed, but at best it will be DLC added later on and they wouldn't commit to anything definitive because they want to concentrate on Master Chief as he's the lynch pin.

 
Anybody else find The Evil Within has way too much forced combat? I thought the game was going to be focused on sneaking around enemies and only fighting if needed, especially after that's exactly what you do in the first chapter. Just finished chapter 7 and I think there has been more must kill enemies than all of Resident Evil 5, maybe even 6. The game has plenty of scary/creepy moments, but also a lot of frustrating combat.

I'm up to Chapter 10 and couldnt be happier about the increased combat. I was ready to run out and trade it in after the first few chapters because it seemed like stealth was what you were supposed to do, but that was really annoying (you sneak vveeerrrrryy slowly and enemies spot you easily from across the room). It now feels like a more horror focused RE4, which is fine in my book (still doesn't compare to RE4 in terms of quality, but that's okay).

Regardless if you prefer stealth or combat, I agree it is weird how the beginning of the game plays pretty differently from the later chapters.
 
Think I'm almost done with chapter ten (or at least I hope). I was hoping for more of a choice. Be stealthy and fight less enemies. Fight only when you have to. I wasn't expecting it to be like stealthy throughout a section and then lol jk you have to kill everybody anyways, has fun. At this point I just heard everybody up and kite them around the map to various traps.

I was expecting more of a RE type game solve puzzles fight zombies etc its been pretty meh to me but I'm still  glad to have bought it. whatevs

 
I had to give up on it in chapter 11 level due to a glitch that won't let me continue playing. Was hoping the game would have grew on me by the end. The atmosphere is great and bosses scary.

Is it possible to play it as an action game, even if that means putting the difficulty on Easy possibly? I'm more into an RE6/Dead Space type experience; The Last of Us was about as much stealth as I can take.

Only the start of the game is stealth. The rest is action mixed in with a few puzzles.

This is where I had to stop. The guides and videos I looked up showed that something was supposed to trigger when I walked to the door.

Is it a game breaking glitch? I just bought the game today and was going to start it tonight.

I tried reloading my save and some other stuff. It broke for me. Doesn't break for everybody. Maybe it would have worked if I restarted the chapter, but there is an annoying part earlier in the chapter that I really didn't want to redo.

Haha it was the PSN thread, and it wasn't really my ex girlfriend. Was just re-telling a story I saw on reddit on a Friday afternoon because I was bored out of my mind at work.

I just started it - after the second time I died in Chapter 1, I lost audio, and then, after the title sequence, the game froze. When I tried to reload it, it wouldn't go pass the "press any button" on the title screen. I deleted my save, but that didn't help, so now I'm re-installing the game. Yay.

*edit* in case anyone else runs into this - you have to hard reset your console (hold down the power button until the system turns off) - no need to delete your save or reinstall the game.

Hail State! Nice to see a fellow Mississippi State fan on the forums, I was at the Auburn game, and it was amazing. The season is surreal to me, I never thought I would see them get to number one.

 
Yeah I tried all week getting tickets to the auburn game, it was insane how hard it was. Oh well, it was still great watching it on the couch!

I am building a nice litte X1 backlog without actually owning one yet. I already have all the GWG games, Minecraft (since the digital upgrade was cheap), Destiny (free upgrade from 360), Warrios Orochi 3 Ultimate (won an auction for it), Pinball FX2 (free transfer of tables), will have Advanced Warfare (as with Destiny, free digital upgrade from 360), the free-to-play games, and when I'm picking up the X1 around Christmas I'll likely get a bundle (that one with the 2 AC games and Rayman looks sick) along with EA Access (which is already 6 games strong). By the time I buy the console I'll likely have around 15-20 games.
