I can confirm. I downloaded Madness Returns whenever it was last on sale, and the original was free afterward.

No need to check. It's like an online pass and is free with digital copies (the way you can be 100% sure is that out of the 1000 gamerscore points a bunch are just for the old Alice game - so it's considered part of the Alice Madness Returns). Just a note for the wise that the original AM's Alice hasn't aged too well graphically so if you weren't taken by the re-release of GTA: SA because of that you probably will skip that part of Alice Madness Returns anyhow. Anyways I don't think there's one GoD where there was an online pass where the GoD doesn't come with it built in - the whole point of them was to stop trading in discs to Gamestop/EbGames which is moot with a digital copy . . .

 
American McGee's Alice hasn't aged well AT ALL. The gameplay and the enemies not having any frames of animation where they take damage means they can get plenty of cheap shots at you. That and the awful camera mixed with terrible platforming makes it a game best not played ever again.

 
Well, just preorder the Halo collection on XBL.  I already have a preorder at BB, but I figure I want it digitally in the end since i'll be playing it so much.  And this way I can preload the 20GB update.

Yeah, if it wasn't for GCU, I'd have gone digital. I won't dump this game, but I can't justify $12 more to go digital than physical.

I'll just trade in the disc for $44 and buy $40 in XBL cred to make up for it. The credit I used to preorder it on XBL was free anyways, so I'm not losing money. (and I get the $10 RZ cert)

 
There's been an ad for a Disney Halloween avatar costume sale on the avatar shop but the prices weren't updated except on the stuff that had already been picked up by XBLDB.  Everything else is now showing $2 (except Animal which is still showing $3) including the Jack Skellington costume that was $2 on the website but not the console.

Edit- I found a list.  The cantina band costume doesn't seem to be in the list on the console though so you might have to search that out.  Also looks like there's an Iron Man one too.

Does anyone know though if it's possible to buy a female costume on my account so my kid's avatar can wear it?  Want to get her the Sally costume but would prefer to use my credit.

Still no change on the Shocktober front but it's got a large splash on the sales and specials page now at least so maybe that's next to update.

Wouldn't you just be better off canceling the pre-order? For me, with tax and after GCU, Halo comes out to $51.xx. If you are similar, you might be making a couple of dollars, but some of your money is tied up in a cert and you have to do extra work for trade-in.

 
Does anyone know if the weapon dlc's for darksiders 2 count for the 2000 rewards points?? Or do i have to get the $6.99 extra missions dlc to qualify???
 
Isn't the titanfall "horde" a free update to all? Or do I need to pick up the season pass? I think with Halo collection on the horizon and COD, yes I'll play it, I don't have much room left in my life for a shooter.

I don't tweet, so I was hoping to get it without doing so, but I don't see the option (the popup to tweet opens, but I don't see anywhere to get the code).

Thanks, but I couldn't get it to work. Once you told me where it is supposed to show up, I started messing around with the javascript, and now it thinks I voted so I don't get the banner anymore, but I never got the code. Oh well, not a big deal.

Open up a InPrivate window and it'll work again.

What browser did you use? The code wouldn't show up in Firefox for me, but it did in IE.

 
The left stick on my X1 controller is getting worse. Too many messed up KI inputs and missed field goals/routes broken in Madden. Do any other controllers have a mic slot? I was looking at a few for $40-$50 and none of them did. I'd rather not spend $60 on a new controller with all the games coming out, but I might not even be able to play them without one. Being able to use a mic is very important to me.

I was wondering the same thing... I just downloaded one of the weapons... But i think the points if they are eligible will be added end of the month...

Absolutely, especially with the new co-op mode that was just added. I personally enjoy it more than the normal competitive mode.

And remember people, if you can, ALWAYS put some xbox credit on your account so you don't have to pay tax from Xbox Marketplace. Unless you're like Oregon who doesn't have to, lucky a-holes.

Otherwise, for this 8.25 season pass, I just bought a 5 dollar gift card off amazon, added it to my account then went to purchase the game through the xbox one. It asks you to make up the remaining balance with your card but it won't charge you tax and make the real price like 9 something.

Titanfall is still my favorite MP experience so far this year, at least till Halo MCC drops. It's in my top 3 games for the year right now (Others being Forza Horizon and Bayonetta 2). There's still nothing more satisfying then destroying people/other titans in a titan.

The DLC maps are actually quite good. Also the free horde mode DLC is pretty good.

That said there's still no single player experience.

If you prefer disc I'm sure Gamefly will have Titanfall for $20 or less again, and I'd expect Titanfall to be $20 come black friday at some retailers.

Really? Maybe it's where I live, but I get charged tax using credit through my console.

 
Most places depend on your billing address. If there's also an entity for that company in your state, then you would pay sales tax. Not entirely sure what would constitute an entity for Microsoft, though, I guess a Microsoft store may count?

Really? I buy things with Xbox Credit only and I always get charged tax.
