Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

MCC worked great until I tried playing with friends in matchmaking. Customs were fine with a group of 8. Co-op kind of worked when my friend hosted. 1st level of Halo 2 was fine, but had a lot of trouble with disconnecting at the start of the 2nd. I hosted the game instead and we had no problems for the rest of the night playing co-op.

Pretty much this.

Also, how the f*** did it take ubisoft 30 days to "fix" Watch_Pups and 343i a few days? Forget about certification time. Just time it took to actually MAKE the fix.
The patch did nothing to fix my matchmaking issues, so I wouldn't praise 343 just yet.

Ive only done matchmaking and custom so far. Matchmaking solo has been really good for me lately, with friends theres definitely problems and it still takes a while to find matches. Custom games have been fine for me so far from what I have done. Haven't touched campaign.

I have like ~16 hours into Matchmaking so far I believe

So a year from today, the 360 will turn 10 years old!
That's great, but it's pretty sad that I just got on Xbox Live for the first time this year. I love my 360, and if I downsize my collection in 2015 like I've been debating, it will be one of the systems that I keep along with Dreamcast, PS3, PS2 and the original Xbox. Hell, if the Xbox One continues this way, it might be one of the ones to go. I bought mine a month ago during the first price drop to $400, I've got Sunset Overdrive, Diablo III, Dead Rising 3 and Need for Speed along with the last month's worth of Games with Gold offerings, and I'm still underwhelmed since the game I play the most on Xbox One is Pinball FX2's South Park tables. Here's hoping the price drop will lead to better and more varied software in 2015. I've got my fingers and toes crossed that Raiden V will make it to the U.S., and I'm still waiting to play Cuphead. Please understand that I'm not an Xbox hater, but that $400 could have gone toward my rent.

I don't recall there being any major glitches in Watch Dogs (or any glitches for that matter). Played it launch week and had a great time with it.
Look online, or hell, look in past posts on here about the game. There were about 1000 pages of people complaining, rightfully so, on the ubi forums. It took 30 days to "fix" the game so people could play it. Myself included. Many just gave up on that garbage and moved on. Had potential too. It obviously had something to do with the uplay rewards. But, of course, ubi denied it.
The patch did nothing to fix my matchmaking issues, so I wouldn't praise 343 just yet.
I didn't say, or mean for it to be said, that it was fixed. Just that at least they're trying. I read another patch went live today and the MP should be fixed by next week. Again, I'm just happy 343i just gives enough of a shit about its fans to work on fixes so quickly.

That is what I wanted to hear. I have Ryse and Dead Rising 3 on disc, possibly picking up Forza 5 as well to start off. I'll subscribe to EA Access so 6 digital games. Sunset Overdrive bundle comes with a code for the game, so another download. I have the digital upgrade for Advanced Warfare and Destiny: once again, download. All the GwG games: download. Free to play games like KI and Warframe: download. With the crappy Italian connections it's gonna be a pain in the ass to catch up, good to know I can at least try the games while downloading.
Ladies & Gentlemen, this is how it's done! :applause:

Look online, or hell, look in past posts on here about the game. There were about 1000 pages of people complaining, rightfully so, on the ubi forums. It took 30 days to "fix" the game so people could play it. Myself included. Many just gave up on that garbage and moved on. Had potential too. It obviously had something to do with the uplay rewards. But, of course, ubi denied it.
I didn't say, or mean for it to be said, that it was fixed. Just that at least they're trying. I read another patch went live today and the MP should be fixed by next week. Again, I'm just happy 343i just gives enough of a shit about its fans to work on fixes so quickly.
Pretty much this, I hit a bug in Watch Dogs where all of my skills got locked when I was like 15-20 hours into it, contacted Ubisoft and they told me that they knew about the issue and would look into it. After like 2 months of going back and forth, they started at "A patch will come out to fix that so please wait" too "You'll have to delete your save and start again", I bought that game on day one and was not able to play it for months because I waited (I know I could have deleted the save, but I had other games I could play and didn't want to), and when they finally did fix in like 3 months later I had to restart the game to be able to play the game again.

Then in AC4, I got hit with the glitch where you can't get the friend achievement, and I got all the other ones in single player, how do they want me to fix it? Delete my save and start over. One save file per game is incredibly stupid, and Ubisoft is one of the worst when it comes to fixing/handling this kind of stuff. Unfortunately for me I enjoy their games too much and will keep buying them lol.

That said, 343 has pushed out like eight updates in 4 days, you never see that much work from any of these companies, so I am also very happy they are working on it fast enough to try and fix it.

I don't know if this is a Futureshop/Canada only thing, but I've seen these promo cards pop up in the last couple weeks.

Does Microsoft contract out to Publishers Clearing House to make cards in Canada? How big are these things?

Local Store

This item is pretty big, so it has to be shipped directly from our warehouse and can't be reserved. You can buy it online and we'll schedule a delivery, or an associate can assist you with your purchase in-store.

So, Red Faction: Guerrilla is free for Gold users as part of the Games with Gold program. As always, these past weeks/months the timing is a bit earlier than it used to be. It's a fun game but amazing destrution physics, has some design flaws but it's still pretty impressive to date. Wielding around the hammer and destroying buildings with people in them in real time? Still priceless. Also, for those into Xbox Live Rewards, don't forget to play the game (or just let it run in the background) for 10 hours before the end of the month, and if you happen to enjoy it, consider buying DLCs for getting 2000 Rewards points as well. I believe you're still in time to do the same with Viva Pinata by a few hours as well if you forgot.

Apparently you get an acievement for playing Halo CE in the MCC today.  Finally got into a match after 20 minutes of waiting, the achievement popped up while the game was loading and the game reset and took me to Halo Channel for some reason.

Yeah. Same with playing h2 on the 9th, h3 on the 25th, and h4 on whatever day it came out.

Started playing Fallout: New Vegas for the first time this morning, and it reminded me about why I enjoyed Fallout 3 so much - the sense of discovery.  Sadly, I spent more consecutive hours playing F:NV this afternoon than I have playing any other games I paid much more for lately, and I'm constantly waiting to see what happens next.  $4.94 well spent.

In response to the person who said they still keep in touch with people they met on Halo 2 and even met some in person, I'm the same way. First night I got Xbox live, I played NFL 2K5. My opponent in that first game ended up living in the same city as I did. He introduced me to Halo 2 multiplayer and we later became real life friends.

I've actually met up with 4 people who I initially encountered in Halo 2 matches, and I remain in close contact with around a half dozen others who I have not yet spent time with face to face to this point.

I'm loving the collection and the online stuff has worked for me about 75% of the time, so I can't complain given what some of you have been experiencing.

Do you guys remember the first xbox live commercial with "darkmaster" and "crusher"?

The delay of xbox rewards is gettin ridiculous: i have just received the november survey points with date 11/01. It annoys me because there's no sign of VP 10 hours and keep me wondering if i missed the 10 hours mark by minutes.

Just to let people know. If you change your locale on the xbox website (at the bottom of the page on the left just click where it says your country) you can also download the full version of Powerstar Golf as it's the GwG for Xbone this month in Australia and a few other countries rather than Chariot. Likewise if you're like me and are in a country like Australia and want to download Chariot for free you can do that too. Gives everyone two free games for the Xbone this month. And this is different than changing your region as it just affects what website you're on and has nothing to do with changing the region of your account or anything like that. Just be aware Powerstar Golf is always free as it's essentially like Zen Pinball as in you get the main game free but have to pay to unlock the rest - so make sure you look for the unlock full game DLC which is the GwG this month.

If you need an Aussie address/phone # for this, the nutjobs at Scientology Aussieland have some here: http://www.scientology.org.au/contact-scientology

Red Faction Guerrilla is IP locked. I have a US account, and I'm trying to get the game while I'm in another country.

How are you doing this? It wants a Cc with Australian address.

I don't know. My locale was set to USA despite living in Australia. So when I went to get my Xbone game of the month thinking it was going to be Powerstar Golf as that's supposed to be the game of the month over here I was surprised to see that it came up as Chariot and so I happily took that for free - then out of curiousity I set my locale to Australia and found that I was able to pick up Powerstar Golf. I used my paypal account which is strangely linked to a Canadian address so I have no clue why it worked for me and just assumed it would work for everyone. Sorry if that's not the case. And for clarity sake I don't own an Xbone so this was done through the Xbox website and not through a console. Sorry if others can't do this. But again it's worth a shot to see if you can.

I'm surprised there's any aspect of region-ing on the Xbone as all games are region-free. So I find it weird that it required you to have an Aussie CC - then again MS is weird.

Has anyone received the Xbox Live Rewards credits for playing Viva Pinata? I haven't, and I get the sense I won't. Raptr didn't pick up any of my Vita Pinata game time, and I'm guessing Xbox Live Rewards didn't either.

There's supposed to be support from the Xbox Forums for Xbox Rewards. I posted a message there about this, but the site mentions it'll take (up to) 3 days for a reply, and some threads do not even have responses after a few extra grace days.

Anyway, if people want to post there and see if we can get a resolution this is the link:

I was recently reminiscing on my halo1/2 college years how we would meet random people on the yard talking about halo and break the ice/meet up with "strangers" for a lan party. made lots of friends that way, sad that those magical times will probably never happen again with online and the terrible social skills of these young'ns these days...

Spent all weekend playing MCC. We found some workarounds to a few problems to make the game playable with friends. If you want to play campaign or customs with friends, but the game says you can't connect for whatever reason, go to the X1 Home screen and close MCC completely. Have the lobby host send out invites and accept the invite from the Home X1 screen. The game will load up and should put you in their game. This does not help with matchmaking though.

Forge has come a long way from Halo 3. I spent a few hours just working on editing a map in H2A. Still a lot of stuff that I don't understand how do to yet. I hope they add a searchable file share to the game (if there isn't one already).

Halo 2 has many feels for me. Looking through the old maps brings back so many memories. I see many customs games incoming. So many customs.

I also posted there about VP. First time i got this problem. I wanna believe it's due to a massive delay ( I received just today the november survey credits with date 11/01). Anyway I think this 'play with gold' program, or whatever its name is, isnt going to stay for long: it's too easy a way to rack up points and if you play all free games you could pay your annual Gold subscription only with it. Too good to go on.

This sounds like a great way to get banned.

I also have 45k points pending from the GoD punchcard
FWIW, redeeming a code for ACU seems to have counter as a punch for me.

And regarding the Powerstar/Aussie thing: I switched the shell locale on xbox.com to en-AU, then went to commerce.microsoft.com and added my paypal account to "personal account - AU"

It let me "buy" the full game unlock on Xbox.com for $0.00, then I went and deleted my paypal account on the MS billing website and it still shows as purchased when I switched back to en-US.
