I miss this thread, I still can't get it to load on my iphone, so I can only read it on the rare occasion I turn on my home computer.

Likewise if you're like me and are in a country like Australia and want to download Chariot for free you can do that too. Gives everyone two free games for the Xbone this month. And this is different than changing your region as it just affects what website you're on and has nothing to do with changing the region of your account or anything like that. Just be aware Powerstar Golf is always free as it's essentially like Zen Pinball as in you get the main game free but have to pay to unlock the rest - so make sure you look for the unlock full game DLC which is the GwG this month.

I finally got around to trying out the new forge for H2A, the three forge maps are huge and I can't wait to see what people are able to do with them, all the new features should be great for puzzle maps and such.

The problem is that every time I go to the xbox.com website it automatically assumes I'm in the USA. I have to physically change the locale to Australia and even then only half the time it works. If I go to the GwG page Powerstar Golf was showing up as being the GwG title but when I clicked on it it was coming up as costing money whereas if I went to the Chariot page it shows up as free.

I have spoken to MS in the past about this issue, it used to be a major issue when they started that whole thing of having promotional pages for games which would link you directly to the US marketplace. It's something they're aware of but haven't fixed. It usually doesn't matter as when I go to buy something it eventually shows me the price in AUD and it's never affected my ability to get a GwG. But I had to spent 5-10 minutes of my time trying to be able to get Powerstar Golf as it kept bringing back to the Xbox US locale and saying I had to spend money on it. I'm not sure if this is just a specific problem for me with my account as I migrated my account years ago (though strangely from a Canadian one originally) or if this is a general issue for those who live outside of the USA. I can't believe they'd ding me when it's a problem on their end that requires a lot of hassle on my part.

But then again MS does what it likes.

You need to delete your browser history, cookies, etc... on your phone and it'll work again. That worked for me at least.
 
Does anyone know/think if they will have digital sales during Black Friday?

Don't want to bother having to go to the store to get discs when I can just get them all from my Xbox at home in the warmness.

They normaly do a good sell during black friday and the first weeks going into christmas. Last year they did a different game each day. I still have stuff from last years sell I havent played yet lol. I think i like buying games for cheap better then playing said games bought for cheap. Hell I have enough in the backlog to keep me busy for a few years. I have a stock on xbox one and dont even have it yet.

So....a week from today, the anticipation should begin.  (assuming the price dips flip late Monday, per usual)

Hoping for a Black Friday or Thanksgiving sale on Sega Live arcade games and shmups. I know it's a long shot but I have to believe it's possible for me to get Daytona USA for less than $9.99.

Sorry, dude. All the credit I have has been (a) already applied to my account and (b) paid for by my two jobs, so I'm holding onto it for dear life. However, I have a tip that might help you to get free Xbox Live credit. I signed up for Bing Rewards, and for every 310 Bing searches I do, I can redeem the points for a $3 Xbox Live credit. Since I'm at work searching things all day long, that's free credit that stacks up over time, so you might consider looking into that. It took me about two weeks to get that $3.

Once you're gold, 465 points gets you a $5 code instead of 290 for $3 (so you get more per points if you do the $5 increment).

Yeah, I saw that, but I was too impatient to keep stacking up the points. Maybe I need to chill and do the $5 next time around, but I just cashed in on a $3 code earlier today.

Totally. Use the bing app to count for your mobile searches and change your search engine to bing instead of google in your safari settings, all your searches through safari, even though it's on your phone will count as normal.

Oh, and with the bing app, all you have to do it shake your phone and it does a random search. So shake your phone 20 times and you got your daily mobile search out of the way.

Tomb Raider things this week.  Nothing for me.  Fingers crossed that next week will be good and/or there will be a good Black Friday sale.

For what it's worth, I really enjoyed the latest Tomb Raider game (the reboot).  Easily worth that price.

Having yet to play the newest Tomb Raider, can anyone give a rundown of the dlc? The descriptions aren't exactly informative. Worth buying?

Type marvel movies

Just click all the pictures of the movies you can even keep clicking the same one. Should take about 1-2 minutes
 
$20.00 for Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on Xbox One ....

That's not a bad deal, but used discs are going for $15 and under.

...Fun game.  Loved it on PC.  Would probably have double-dipped if the price was (noticeably) lower.

shame it never got to 60fps on XB1.

Enslaved on sale again but still no sale for the Pigsy's Perfect 10 DLC? The game is now 50% cheaper than its DLC. Why u do this, MS?

But seriously, Enslaved is totally worth $4.94.

 
Does anyone know if the disc in the ArtBook edition of Tomb Raider DE is different from the disc in the regular edition?

With the 50% bonus at BB I could trade in my disc and get the digital version for roughly the same amount.

I'd say above average as far as video game stories go. The plot is really straightforward, but the acting is great (main character is voiced/mocapped by Andy Serkis) and you care about the characters as time goes on. Weird ending, though. Would recommend for $5.
 
Lara Croft Tomb Raider Legend I can strongly give a non recommendation as the game glitched on me in one of the boss battles so defeating it is totally random so I never got past it.
