  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.  This requires being a paid subscriber or within a console-activated "1 month complimentary Gold trial" account.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.
  • All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.
  • ALL OFFERS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE! No information within this thread can or should be construed as accurate (or still valid), therefore ...
  • Always verify Xbox Live Marketplace prices before your purchase!
  • Spend wisely, have fun, and enjoy!

Just bought Outlast. That was one I was hoping would be part of the sale. Very nice. Has anyone played it? Is it good? Probably should have asked before I bought but I'm a sucker for survival horror.
Played it at all the way through while visiting a friend recently. It's not bad at all really. It suffers from the modern day horror's obsession with jump scares from time to time, but does a good job of creating a good horror atmosphere. There are many intense run and hide (or just plain run) sequences and that does get slightly tedious. But I'd give it a solid 7.5 out of 10.

Atmosphere is amazing, but AI is predictable once you die a couple times, common in horror games. Play at night with the lights off and audio turned up, you'll have a good time.
Awesome. Can't wait. Thanks! And thanks Barry B. As well, I can't multi quote on my phone.

*Edit* Thanks starmartyr!

Shadow Warrior is $29.99!

GoT and Blands are NOT on sale. those are the regular prices. $19.99 for got and $14.99 for Blands.

Outlast dlc isnt on sale tho

Although tempted by Outlast, I think I'll wait until it goes on sale for cheaper and with the DLC. I'm banking on it as a possible GwG anyway so no harm in waiting.

I'm going to hold onto my funds. Lots of days to go, patience...I must have.

There will be some gems hidden beneath all the crap. Hoping for DR3, DA:I, WWE15, SO, FH2 and GTAV

If a couple of those make it in, I will be happy

I'm hoping for the DR 3 super ultimate terrible name DLC. It seems like the would rather only place items with dlc or micro transactions in them on sale. Now that I think about it, are there any games on the Xbox One that have either no micro transactions or dlc associated with it?

There are plenty of indie titles with no DLC or microtransactions.

AAA games, however? Welcome to the new age!

These games suck. But I don't know if it is worse than having borderlands and fallout dlc for the 3863 time.

Titanfall all for that price may be worth the bite

I know there are several vocal CAGs here who have been waiting for Outlast to go on sale on Xbox One, so I'm happy for 'em.  :)

So apparently the daily sales aren't actually daily? LEGO Hobbit and Shadow of Mordor are still marked down.  Will have to see if that continues as we go along.  Should also be noted if you're going to wait until the end that the big block of ongoing games ends the 22nd which I hadn't noticed previously.  I assume we'll get another block for the second week of the sale.

Also Major Nelson just made Outlast and the motorcycle games official as the dailies.

Did risk for Xbox one get pulled from the store? I found it last night, but I can't seem to find it today even with a search.

The BioShock Infinite complete edition came out in early November. I told some friends today that I expected that to hit $15 before the digital season pass did. Checking Amazon, it's $24.99 right now. Don't feel like searching to see what it cost on Black Friday.
Well, that shows how behind I am on everything. Yea, 15 would be a solid price.

Those who were complaining about the day 2 deals saying that they were terrible....take note of day 3's offerings.
Yep, it went from terrible to something similar to the deposit I make in my toilet after my first cup of coffee every morning. I sincerely hope these one day offerings improve, otherwise what's the point of having one day sales. Typically I'd expect the short term deals to be better than the base sale with better offerings. Thus far the prices have been meh and the games have been even more meh.

Odd Risk got pulled. I tried searching it earlier to no avail but figured it was just my shitty computer/connection at work.

Regardless I am super stoked to get Outlast for so cheap!

Outlast is excellent. Even better than I expected. Can't remember the last time a game scared the shit out of me. Had me jump a few times just in the hour I played so far.

Definately worth $8 for any fan of survival horror.

I'm pretty sure those are the regular prices, especially because Major hasn't mentioned anything about them.
25 is crossed out on the XBone and $20 replaces it so it is definitely a sale
For Tales from the Borderlands, it looks like it isn't set up properly on the XB1 marketplace. There's a page for the Season Pass with DLC in the URL. The price on that page is $14.99, not marked down. Then there's a bundle URL page, which has a struck through $19.99 price and a current price of $14.99. The name and description of the bundle is the same as the Season Pass, though the bundle says it includes Episode 1 if you scroll down. The bundle and pass both have the same GUID (8db0fe2d-f732-4573-a46c-e886d19357d9) in their URLs, don't know if that's significant or not. On the Episode 1 page, the bundle is linked to in the "Bundles containing this item" section. The DLC doesn't mention being included in the bundle, and the bundle doesn't list the DLC. So perhaps buying the bundle would get the first episode and pass, essentially making the first episode free, and its description isn't correct. Or it's just a screwup on the marketplace with a bundle entry that shouldn't be there. The DLC pass doesn't appear to turn up when searching, just the Bundle pass.

Haven't found a bundle for Game of Thrones. Replacing "DLC" with "Bundle" on the pass URL returns a page not found error, so I don't know what people saw to think there's any kind of markdown there.

I see some dude talking about his dump, c'mon man baby G don't like talkin Turds baby G like talking girls wit Dem BIG rodz. I even hold if fo her while she pee!!!

No idea about the website but on the console side I didn't see any bundles earlier just both first episodes at $4.99 then the passes listed as DLC with the strike through on the price and each $5 below that.

So for 360 owners of Magic 2015, you may already have Garruk's Expansion for free if you also bought Magic 2014. Here's how it works:

Anyone who bought M2014 on 360 got a free Premium Booster for M2015 if you bought M2015 before WotC announced the changes they were making to the game. If you bought/redeemed a Premium Booster before Nov. 5 when the expansion released, you get Garruk's Expansion for free!

I don't think that was the way it was supposed to work as it was designed for people who spent money on the premium packs or full card unlocks but that's how it worked for me! I went through the entire single player portion of the expansion tonight, got the 2 achievements for it, and added a card from Alara to my deck to get the 3rd of the expansion's 5 new achievements.

Also when I try to buy the expansion from the in-game menu, it doesn't advance to the payment screen, acting like it's something I already own!

I was wondering what happened with Risk.  I was looking at it on the console earlier and it said "Unavailable" where the price normally is.

Has anyone tried purchasing the bundle for Tales from the Borderlands to see if it actually does include episode 1?

Don't do it, you can literally beat it in five minutes if you walk into the fence, go straight and down some stairs.
But you can also play the Metal Gear demo game as intended and get a lot more time out of it. The existence of a shortcut to the end doesn't negate the ability to just play it have fun like you would any game.

Not quote related, but stream related. Played Jackbox on Twitch for a couple hours last night. Played one of each game with a full group, except for the 100 person game (only had 15 players). No connection issues.
That's cool. Maybe my connectivity issues were an isolated incident. Will be playing it at the office Christmas party on Friday, so we'll see how that goes.

I already put quite a bit of time on the Japanese version I doubt I'll want to start all over again when they release it in English. It will all depend if my friends want to play it as well.
I'll play both versions with you! If we could ever work out the scheduling, that is. We're doing a mid-week Japanese version stream in two weeks or so.

Description says episode 1 is not included.

I haven't really looked up achievement progress (partially as some of the achievements are grindy and will take a while anyways). However, never had the game crash for me and things seemed to be working smoothly enough.

I have had trouble with the matchmaking, but I don't know how much of that is bad netcode as opposed to the game being brand new and not enough people having bought the game yet.

On a side note, I thought that might have been you I saw in the one battle game when you disconnected.
The single player runs fairly smoothly, no big issues there. I had the game crash MANY times in matchmaking though, so if you meet baboy1337 disconnecting, you know why, I don't run away lol. I had 2 or 3 crashes while finding a player, and like 2 or 3 during an online match too - once I was even winning by a good margin...

This is a glitch with the update - you are downloading the full game with the patch. If you have the disc, uninstall and then reinstall with the disc and then apply the update.
How about if I have the digital version? It took me almost a week to download the original 51gb on my crappy internet. I can't do another 41gb. Next gen sucks.

FTFY.

Outlast being on sale is glorious. Not sure if Shadow Warrior is a sale or permanent price drop, didn't have a slash through it on the dashboard and 99% of the time the sales will have a slash. If It's on sale for only $10 off that's pretty pathetic since Amazon had it for $17.50 last week. I just hope it goes cheaper because I want a digital copy and I want it cheaper before Majesco goes out of business granted I don't know if they assume the rights of distrubitng digitally or just the disc copies.

Not to derail the thread, but it's been mentioned in the Kroger 12 Days of Gift Cards thread that people can add a digital coupon to their Kroger grocery store cards to use today only, 12/18, to purchase a 3 multi-pack of $10 Xbox Live cards which is regularly $30 to get it for $25 today only.  Good if people need extra credit for these Live sales.

I honestly didn't find Outlast that scary. I think people are overhyping that aspect of the game. I beat the game and DLC back when it launched on PS4 and while I thought it was a decent game the scares really start to go away after about 20 minutes when you pretty much can guess what to expect from the rest of the game.

Plus, it gets incredibly repetitive (one of the biggest complaints people had). However, That free PT teaser demo that Hideo Kojima put out scared the living crap out of me and it's just a teaser for a game. PT is more psychological horror while outlast is like 'oh no guy chasing you' or 'oh no something popped out!'.

Except that it's not only Ubisoft, MS put out a broken MCC, DA:I was patched by EA, albeit the game was playable and the patches mostly occurred under the radar. I agree Ubisoft has been one of the biggest culprits so far this generation but I worry that this is the new norm - release Alpha or Beta grade products and patch after release. I guess I'm probably just dating myself but this makes me want to retire my gaming hat. Maybe I'll just leave my BF XB1 sealed in the box, and finish off my 360 backlog until the publishers start to behave themselves.
